This mode has a feature to do that btw. Just enter the console commands to make it so that the Half-Life weapons are replaced by the equivelant Quake 1/2/3 weapons you have installed.

No, you can use this mode to play anything. BUT! This mode will replace HL1 and HL2 weapons with the author's own version of the HL1 weapons, so if you don't have any of the 2 versions of Half-Life source, then you will see the weapons missing models and missing textures.

To fix that and play with HL2 weapons or other weapon addons you have downloaded, simply use the option to play the Sandbox version of this mode in the options menu.

There is a big button saying "Games" on the Garry's Mod menu. Just press it and select Half-Life.

I'm not really familiar with mounting a games files to gmod so i'm kind of lost on what to do. currently the maps work but there's a lot of errors and missing textures. if anyone could help me out i'd appreciate it

First of, this is a different mode, literally made for you to not play Sandbox. And second, if you have the Half-Life SWEPs, NPCs drop both weapons, so just use a biind to drop the default weapons and you will be fine.

Does anyone else keep getting killed by an invisible "Barnacle" entity? We can't progress

Just found out that we can use this addon to play Deathmatch with friends. And we even managed to play in our old custom deathmatch maps with this mode and it replaced all the weapons and entities correctly. It even added auto-respawning ammo and weapons, which I didn't even know this addon could do. That's so cool!

For those who want to make this speed run experience even more like HL1, increase the tickrate in the launch option by 250. It will make your bunnyhop easy to execute.
