Indeed! Infact, I just updated this mod with new block shield types, which are way cheaper to build, but are also way more fragile

Could work as a trap door too, quite expensive but it works :)

You could create an additional solid shield (something similar, kevlar plates on armored vehicles)
They could take a small amount of energy (the structural integrity of external cladding)
