Seems like the only update this needs is to change:

<soundImpactStuff>BulletImpact_Ground</soundImpactStuff>

to:
<soundImpactBullet>BulletImpact_Ground</soundImpactBullet>
<soundImpactMelee>Pawn_Melee_Punch_HitBuilding_Stone</soundImpactMelee>
Grimiskitty Mar 22, 2024 @ 6:38pm
I keep getting the following error as Chiaheed.

XML error: <soundImpactStuff>BulletImpact_Ground</soundImpactStuff> does not belong in <stuffProps>
chiaheed Mar 21, 2024 @ 2:19am
@Wemd, I get the following error when adding this to 1.5:

XML error: <soundImpactStuff>BulletImpact_Ground</soundImpactStuff> does not belong in <stuffProps>

Hi, I see this mode has not yet been officially updated for 1.4. Anyone know if it still works with 1.4? I'd prefer to use this over other concrete mods because it's fairly balanced. Thanks...
The Dude with shogun Oct 28, 2022 @ 10:55am
Hi, is this mod still alive? Have nice day guys!
Suniver Oct 28, 2022 @ 3:01am
@That_Guy Since Wemd is updating his other mods this one will be updated at some point when he has some time =) Loving it too, can't wait to build a new concrete fortress =D
That_Guy Oct 21, 2022 @ 6:18am
Love the mod, looking forward to 1.4!

Will this mod have a conflict with this mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=795240891 ?

Just so people know: this still works as intended and is still the best option.
I usually don't bother if a map has granite, but on a map with no granite this is amazing as I can craft concrete from whatever shitty stone is on the map.

And combined with chuncks and steel from the quarry mod it's a pretty natural resource flow.
Babaloo321 Aug 16, 2021 @ 8:17am
There was another concrete mod I was looking at and the value multiplier was on par with stone blocks or even more, IIRC. What's the value multiplier for this one? Is it also on par with stone blocks?
Elvendork Jul 24, 2021 @ 12:16am
I think the update broke 1.2.

Woo, thankyou!

@Era
Thank you! Gonna update soon!

@kongkim
Yeah, I agree!
Was dealing with other mods updates and IRL things.
Gonna try to update it till 20.7!
Just need to think about the balance a bit :)
kongkim Jul 18, 2021 @ 2:43am
The ideology expansion will be out on 20/07,and the game version is 1.3 will this mod be updated for that :)? As i will be starting a new game when ideology is out.
Era Jul 6, 2021 @ 6:11am
Might need to update the mod for 1.3, shouldn't take long

I've researched all that I've could yet I cannot create a bill to make concrete blocks.
PetLoverSpy Mar 10, 2021 @ 10:09am
Would you consider patching the base game’s Concrete and Paved tiles to actually use concrete with this mod? I like the look of them for my prisons and labs but really dislike that they still use steel instead of concrete. Thanks for a great mod!
Angel Mar 10, 2021 @ 1:36am
Can you make a compatibility patch with VFE so that their reinforced walls can have Concrete, kinda like how Reinforced Walls uses your mod's materials.
mkdr Mar 3, 2021 @ 8:11am
What does this mod do? Can you build stuff on concrete so it counts as heavy?
NanoCE Nov 29, 2020 @ 12:39pm
This is a very nice and simple take on this idea. Thanks for the mod.
Sand Dog  [author] Aug 18, 2020 @ 2:52am
Updated to 1.2!
Uthred Aug 17, 2020 @ 3:59pm
So what do you think about having a settings options to we can change the value of the wall?
Sand Dog  [author] Aug 17, 2020 @ 1:13pm
@zipozon
Sure! In progress!
zipozon Aug 17, 2020 @ 4:59am
Do you intend to upgrade to 1.2?
Uthred Aug 10, 2020 @ 7:59pm
A shame to see the nerf, the whole point I used this mod was for really strong walls, are you able to have a custom value that could be edited in the mod options?
Ryskar Jul 26, 2020 @ 12:09pm
I wouldn't know because I am a dumb caveman who builds walls out of stone. I would build everything out of stone if I could.
Sand Dog  [author] Jul 25, 2020 @ 3:17am
@[FaZe]Gaybraham Lincum
Yeah, me too really!
It's much closer to the base balance now.
700hp is a bit too much, because uranium walls have 750hp, and uranium is harder to get.
But I think I might increase it to about 630-660hp really
Ryskar Jul 23, 2020 @ 11:11am
I actually like the nerf. If I feel like it's too weak I'll just increase the durability to like ~700.
Hasazin Jul 23, 2020 @ 7:16am
Sad to see the nerf! Normal concrete walls are now basically the same as granite making the extra steel cost and crafting time not worth the investment. Although with other wall mods added that allow you to tweak the values you can squeeze out a couple hundred hit points.
Might have to cut this mod from my list at this point.
Enlonwhite Jul 20, 2020 @ 9:38am
Well at least you lowered the cost, ill be ok with that, but I have a reinforced wall mod that can use your concrete so, ill just use those walls instead, which has a mod setting to set base wall hp, aka I will get my strong walls back.
it has its own added cost for those walls too, so it all works out with more cost.
Sand Dog  [author] Jul 20, 2020 @ 12:59am
@Xsile
That's why it's recommended to install mods manually: a sudden update of 1 of 200 mods can't break the game.
You could download the previous version of the mod at my Dropbox
Xsile Jul 20, 2020 @ 12:32am
600 Was a pretty big jump down, with my current mod setup made my entire base structure pointless. I edited back for now myself but this change was a bit excessive from a standpoint of its original value.
Sand Dog  [author] Jul 19, 2020 @ 1:39pm
@Enlonwhite @XaN @Hydra
Sorry for sudden changes :\

I just rebalanced it to match the base game balance better.
Steel has 1.0 multiplier, Granite - 1.7, Uranium - 2.5, Plasteel - 2,8.
So a wall of them will have 300, 510, 700 and 840 hp.

So 600 hp for a concrete wall matches the base balance pretty well.
1050 was pretty cheaty.
Maybe I will increase it a bit to 660, but I'm not sure yet.

+I decreased the cost of concrete, so now each block costs 0,6 stone and 0,4 steel instead 1 stone and 0,5 steel before.
Hydra Jul 18, 2020 @ 11:54pm
why the nerf it was so good before
XaN Jul 18, 2020 @ 4:22pm
now 600, not 1050?
Enlonwhite Jul 18, 2020 @ 2:10pm
I agree 1050 is fine for the cost/work involved, good effect for end game making stuff
Kristofff Jul 17, 2020 @ 6:56pm
Nevermind, it showed up with new name after unsubscribing and resubscribing.
Kristofff Jul 17, 2020 @ 6:51pm
Went to load the save game it says the mod is missing. I don't see it anywhere. Is my game save broken now?
Sand Dog  [author] Jul 17, 2020 @ 9:28am
The mod was updated! More info soon!
GrasCoios Jun 13, 2020 @ 1:59am
No, let the durability like that. 1050
