great mod, any news for a 1.5 update?

from what i heard pawn rendering got overhauled in base game so anything related to it will take awhile to update. I will be waiting patiently for it, for sure. Just want some news from the creator.

So, there's an incompatibility with this mod and Vanilla Factions Expanded: Ancients. It seems that they patch BasePawn to put in the Powers tab in the inspector. Since Crystalloids use CrystalBasePawn instead, they don't get the Powers tab, and so you can't see their abilities if you try to give them superpowers using the VFAE tech. The fix for this is to patch the VFAE ITab def and change the line that reads "<xpath>Defs/ThingDef[@Name="BasePawn"]/inspectorTabs</xpath>" to <xpath>Defs/ThingDef[@Name="BasePawn" or "CrystalBasePawn"]/inspectorTabs</xpath> instead.

It seems this mod conflicts with the VE Psycasts mod. With the Crystalloid race active, when you cast the Resurrect psycast from the Necropath psycast tree, instead of losing a finger the pawn casting it loses their life. It kills the caster, Crystalloid or human.

Removing this mod fixes the problem. I also left this in the HAR discord on the off chance you see that first.

is it possible to prohibit psy-crystal power for all those who do not have the attunement trait if you usethe mod vanilla psycast expanted ? It still seems weird to me to be able to use crystalloid powers as a normal human or any other race.

Mod looks awesome, but got curious is there any way for the Ekrian Collective to be an ally? They seen to be aways hostile but cause i have seen that some of the raiders from this factions have kinda like royalty ranks i got curious. Anyway nice work my frendo have an awesome week

i just wanna point out that i'm having a quest that sends me ~70 crystalloid raiders and it seems i'm gonna end up looting ~33 new psylinks. that's simply gamebreaking.

you should declare this upload an open alpha test :/

Hi. This is a small gripe, but when crystall pawns first appear they always wear their jumpsuits that only cover the top half of the body and they have the naked feel. Just feels weird that the jumpsuit doesn't cover legs like that of EVA corporation. But if not, no problem because they always get changed to something better when they join.

Found a glitch i wanted to point out the race seems to have a issue with blood as I had a crystalloid bleed for a bit an never seem to stop bleeding till death or injected hemogen into them. Anyone else seem to have that issue?

I don't see "crystalloid" as an option when selecting races via character editor. I've got a biolithic pawn that I made the psylink neuromutare for who can't use it because no crystalline brain.

Is there a way to change its race to crystalloid?

I remember playing a run or two with these guys around Rimworld 1.1, just after Royalty dropped. Good stuff, I'll be adding them to my next run when I do HAR stuff again.

I agree with Master Lorian. I would absolutely loveeee xenotypes so I can roleplay custom(Gene) Cravers from the Endless space franchise. But this mod regardless is a pretty great addition.

Hmm so semi-compatible with biotech. I kinda understand the decision not to change the crystalloids into xenotypes, since it would be hell to remake them + they would depend on biotech, but i have to admit it would be pretty awesome. That said, it's still a great mod.

The production buildings are using a custom comp, so they aren't recognized by other mods as a recipe. I don't have full direction graphics for the buildings, but I can see if they are acceptable looking just rotating the sprites.

Also the strand extractor is no longer compatible with the Prime crafters/autocrafters from RimFactory. Don't know if that is something to do with your mod or RimFactory tho.

Just loaded up the mod and it seems as if the buildings are not rotatable. Is this something that's planned on being fixed? Them being fixed really does limit how you have to build your production area.

I figured out the Seren issue, its nothing my mod does... and I don't know exactly why this mod triggers the problem. But basically, Seren has a biotech patch that removes a (required??) field in the race def called headTypes and somehow its not an issue without Crystalloid (but is with it enabled.... somehow...).

@Sportowa Warszawa I play with Serens too, I was wondering why their head textures aren't loading properly... I will look through both the mod's files to see if there's a conflict.

At least, to my knowledge, don't think so. But, I think you can lock it to specific traits, so it could be locked behind Attunment (Making it require being crystaloid/ a specific trait).

I also know for a fact you can lock it behind backstories, so maybe only crystaloyd backstories can get it (That's how Wildspeaker can only be gotten by tribal, for instance)
