The Agripinnaa is a starter weapon, the bolter requires magnetic tier + the unlock from shens.(It think..maybe just magnetic tier..whatever you need to get basegame magnetic)
the grandes are starter weapons too.
The upgrades are, by default, set up to use the base game upgrades instead of them being separate drops. Right now, if you change that, they still use the same stats as the base game, but you could change the config to use different stats if you wanted to, but in that case they need to be separate drops.
As for the weapons, it depends on what you want, I believe the easiest would be to set it up as a skin. You'd have to look into iridars and robojumpers mods for that if I'm not mistaken. Both are also on the discord if necessary.
If you want to make new weapons, you can copy what the basegame does. Maybe check how Σ3245 does it. My Mod isn't a good example I would say. I am aiming for more of a Total conversion (in some distant, distant future :D). That adds quite a bit of complexity for the upgrades.
In any case, if you haven't modded before, start with just setting things up.
Getting Modbuddy up and running is a challenge all in itself lol.
Then on getting a UPK set up with the models. You might need to check with Gamebreaker there, I dunno. (also on the discord)
The coding part can come in last.
You can try the modding reddit, maybe there is a guide. But finding somebody for a commission there is going to be rough.
That said, what did you have in mind, I might consider it.
Right now I am working on elysians.
They are just Frag grenades in game terms, nothing special about them. But thy also have a config if you want to change them.
highly recommend using visible utilities by Iridiar if you want to actually see the grenade.
Longer answer: I don't think there is anything preventing it from working per se, but you would need to add them via console. You cannot normally unlock the bolter because it requires research that isn't in LWOTC.
I am aiming for LWOTC support, but I had enough on my plate getting it into vanilla already. Did not want to burden myself with understanding the inner working of LWOTC as well, plus it's more annoying to test for.
Wasn't planning on that until at least getting to las weapons. My next target is getting to Tier 3/5 by adding a volkite rifle. But I play it rather loose when it comes to plans here.
Either that or I am going to blow up a few speakers with this update... fingers crossed!!
The mod will now use the base upgrades instead of my custom ones.
You can still go back, but hopefully this will make it less janky.
To go back to the old way, use the following settings in the config:
LOOT_POOL_GROUPNUMBER=40
OPT_IN_TO_UPGRADES=1
The new and improved way (loot pool is not used in this case):
OPT_IN_TO_UPGRADES=0
The only negative I can see for now, is that I can't use custom names, so they are slightly less lore-friendly, but I think its worth it.

What's the issue with the sound?
Note that since this is a magnetic tier upgrade to the agripinaa, I removed the three slots from that and gave it to the Bolter instead. At least until I get around to adding another tier...some day.

I can't remember if I already started work on the low poly but either way I am missing all attachments and I want to add a second tier of attachments as well. That means I also have to add a second tier to the agripinaa, so this is still a ways off.
There are plans to fill the other tiers, but that is all it is for now. A plan.
This was already pretty borderline on my old potatoe, I'm still rocking a GTX 670 lol. So don't expect anything before the end of the year at least.
that's an issue with weapons in general, you'll want to start a new campaign. That said, there might be a way, I'm looking into it.
