August 2024 Single player. Still working perfectly!
weedo  [author] Oct 17, 2023 @ 4:47pm
October 2023 Update: It still works perfectly.

I'm currently running a fresh server and this kibble mod still works 100% as intended.

If you dont have a tranq mod that depletes hunger make sure to use the hunger pill included in this mod for instant tame on all kibble tames, it will only work if the dino is actually eating kibble originally. This is only guaranteed for official dinos, any dino mod comes with their own OP kibbles so use that in that case.

Conclusion, this still works as intended as a replacement for the need to make an egg farm and it's for the end game as it's learnable only at lvl 90+ & if you already unlocked industrial cooker.
weedo  [author] Mar 29, 2021 @ 11:17am
yes it's for the vanilla game, can't guaranty it will work with any mods.

if you read the other comments and the full description all of this is already explained in details
jenicakurle Mar 28, 2021 @ 5:07pm
does it work on regular ark survival evolved?? plss tell me
jenicakurle Mar 28, 2021 @ 5:06pm
It's not working
hatchland05 Mar 26, 2021 @ 1:41pm
Does it work on primal fear?
weedo  [author] Jan 17, 2021 @ 6:01pm
no update planned
Venom47 Jan 17, 2021 @ 1:58pm
is this mod planning on being updated?
Kostriktor Dec 29, 2020 @ 1:36pm
i like how the description says "not cheaty"
weedo  [author] Oct 30, 2020 @ 6:19pm
I don't know then, it should eat it but maybe this is an update since they changed the kibbles and the rock got coded to only eat that type of kibble and don't care of anything else than it's table.

I made this mod before the new kibble system it's possible that's the reason
盗む悪魔 Oct 30, 2020 @ 4:13pm
@weedo https://ark.gamepedia.com/Rock_Elemental It is their best taming food
weedo  [author] Oct 30, 2020 @ 2:25pm
rock elementals dont eat kibble
盗む悪魔 Oct 29, 2020 @ 8:46pm
So I was just trying to use this mod to tame a rock elemental {was my first time trying to use this mod}, and it wouldn't eat the perfect kibble. It's food got to 0, but I think it only had like 7k cap. So did something go wrong, am I making a mistake, or is it more than 7k worth of food?
weedo  [author] Oct 25, 2020 @ 7:10am
@Chka Yes it should still work on non-moded dinos. It works on dinos that will tame with normal kibble (some dinos don't use kibble) If you play with high level dinos they might take a while until they are hungry enough to eat this "massive" kibble. That's why i made also the hungry pill you force feed it to a KO dino first then it will eat the kibble and instantly tame at max efficiency.

If that was too hard for your English the easy answer is :

Yes still works.
Chka Oct 24, 2020 @ 3:50pm
Ayo, still work ? And sorry im bad in english but with this mod we can instant tame every dino right ?
Yanakieff Feb 29, 2020 @ 11:01am
Can i change Crafting Vallue on this item ?
weedo  [author] Dec 7, 2019 @ 2:34pm
primal fear has it's own method for taming, please use that.
85FG_Wolf Dec 5, 2019 @ 12:29pm
I've got the Primal Fear mod. Anyone have any idea if this works on Primal dinos like Alpha's Apex etc? Thx :)
GunslingerActual Oct 27, 2019 @ 2:48am
Ah...I see. Got it.
weedo  [author] Oct 24, 2019 @ 4:59pm
anything that tames with kibble will eat it. because of how powerful the value is on this, you must use the hunger pill to make your tame be hungry enough to eat perfect kibble
GunslingerActual Oct 24, 2019 @ 4:45pm
I'm afraid that creatures are no longer eating this automatically and it just sits in their inventory. Still working out if it's a mod compatibility thing, but I doubt it since I had a stable version before the recent updates.
Apekatt Jul 26, 2019 @ 5:30am
Are you sure it works on all K.O creatures? Because non of the mammals eat the kibble so i have to forcetame them because i don't want my lvl 200 tames to die by the milion raptors that have been added for some reason! Is it all K.O tames or just actuall dinosaurs?
Garies May 10, 2019 @ 2:23am
Hi, this sounds like a pretty cool mod, any chance for config options in the game.ini file?
ie. want to raise the unlock level, disable the hunger pill etc.. ;)

I think I might be able to work with the Engram Entry too, if you're willing to supply it. But config options would make it easier for more people.

Will be testing this mod tonight, but seems to be what I'm looking for.. other kibble mods doesn't support the new kibble system yet, but seems this mod "bypasses" that anywho :)
weedo  [author] May 9, 2019 @ 9:19am
I never tried Primal Fear but if i setup my server and come back to the game i'll do a PF playthrough next. So it's good to know!
Stevey May 8, 2019 @ 8:15am
It works in Primal Fear, but only on creatures that use regular kibble. Does not work on ones that need special Primal Fear kibble.
weedo  [author] May 5, 2019 @ 6:07pm
As far as i know primal fear dinos work with their own taming food that come from the mod itself. I have not tested if this mod works with theirs but i'd rather say no.
bullybones77 May 5, 2019 @ 4:52pm
does this work on primal fear dinos?
tombius Apr 12, 2019 @ 11:56pm
I agree with you weedo, such a meaty mixture works for carnovires it would be a delight, but also as Stevey states, a Wyvern egg is a nice ingredient, standard and difficult, certainly less bloody but still savory.
Stevey Apr 12, 2019 @ 7:14pm
I was just wanting to change the requirements as I am playing Primal Fear right now and did not want to do the whole kibble farm thing again. Been playing from Ark's start and just didn't want to do kibble with this play through. I was just going to make them require a single wyvern egg. Would suit our purposes at the moment. I really do appreciate your work and you replying.
weedo  [author] Apr 12, 2019 @ 2:54pm
The idea was that it's a dish that is so delicious that no one can resist it, hence the actual recipe. But adding a monster heart and human blood doesn't seem so savory in the end.
tombius Apr 12, 2019 @ 2:23pm
There you go, that would actually make it hardcore but achievable, add 10 packets of your own blood so it becomes a real compromise to actually craft one.
weedo  [author] Apr 12, 2019 @ 1:42pm
I was thinking if i'd come to change the recipe i might make it require a Giga's heart but it would craft 5 or 10 at once then. But still you have to kill a giga to make it which makes it harder and more rewarding. Just an idea though no plans on changing it at the moment.
tombius Apr 11, 2019 @ 11:18pm
Additionally, maybe as you say, somehow the feeling that I might be cheating is acting behind curtains and that is what doesn't let
me simply enjoy the mod. Anyways as I stated before, thank you very much for this mod, I'll enjoy it either guilt free or shamelessly, come what may!
tombius Apr 11, 2019 @ 11:17pm
I do agree that since it becomes available at last stages it has a balance, but precisely due to the fact that by that moment and level you have full access to resources then there should (or could) have a bit higher requirements, or at least a chance to edit them, it would be just natural, but trust me when I say that I am sorry to sound so stubborn, believe me its not intentional, its just that I guess I am strongly bonded to the idea that lower levels mean fewer resources, and the game itself has that mechanic, starts with stone easy to access few resources neeed and virtually no time required, then develop to metal and finally ends with element and with each progression the required items require more resources and time, man was I damaged by that mechanic! I guess I am just a victim of mental conditioning, asking for a harder life, go figure!
weedo  [author] Apr 9, 2019 @ 4:13pm
Thanks for liking and enjoying my mod, in case it becomes bugged cause of official updates let me know and i'll look at it but otherwise it's fine like it is for now.

The mats are not that easy to get for starters and it also requires to be high level to learn so that's how i'm balancing it, it's not something OP for starters since they still have to go through the game and establish without it. At end game once you have everything running, to be honest even if the mats were a bit harder to find or more grindy, it would still be pretty easy. This is mainly so that you dont have to worry about many different recipes and what does each dino tame best with. It's meant to be a quick, painless shortcut. The Hunger Pill also makes life so much simpler but it's cheaty. Anyway if cheaty was an issue i'd recommend not using this mod. :)
tombius Apr 9, 2019 @ 1:46pm
There are plenty, indeed, but yours is the best suited, its a shame that you dont play Ark anymore, and such a pity because it means that an upgtade to the .ini will have an undefined delay, man... This is quite upsetting, but nevertheless thank you very much for your attention and reply.
weedo  [author] Apr 9, 2019 @ 6:30am
I'll probably change this mod (add an optional more expensive engram) when i introduce the other mods i was working on and paused for now cause i'm not into Ark at the moment. Until then I'm sure you can find another mod that is better suited to your needs there are so many of them.
weedo  [author] Apr 9, 2019 @ 6:28am
I know how to do it, but there's a couple reasons why i won't at least not for now. First if i change it to something else or give an option to make one more expensive. Then others will complain that it's still not what they want. You can never make everyone happy with these things. The second reason i don't want to change is cause I'm not playing Ark anymore and I wouldnt be able to test it extensively so I dont like to put an update out that i dont really know what it will do (i'm no a Fallout76 dev) lol joke aside. Third (bonus) reason is that the editor is on epic store launcher and since i've heard that their client has spyware and it constantly uploads information from your pc i decide i wont open it anymore until we know exactly what they are stealing or when that stuff stops all together.
tombius Apr 8, 2019 @ 10:29pm
Update if you dont mind, I have performed a research, this link might be of interest, Weedo, maybe the answer to this ini problem is here, would you have a check? https://youtu.be/_VkmjvMNgVU
tombius Apr 8, 2019 @ 2:33pm
I agree, there should be a way to edit the entries, like for example when you tweak a mod like a weapon that does less or more damage or inflicts less or more torpor, I tried the PerfectKibble and it does work, beautiful, even if it has lesser taming effectiveness, thats ok, but sure is OP we should either make it way harder to create like same materials but ten times more expensive OR, make the kibble less efective, like 1 for each 10 or 20 levels of the target. Dont take me wrong it is not like I am being a nagging ungrateful beggar, more to the contrary, I admire your time and effort to do this, and since it is so well done I want to implement it in a way that doesnt feel that much overpowered and cheap. I honestly have not used the devkit, but I do know that these entries can be edited, and something was about the engrams that create child instances, bit since I have no access to the code, we rely on you partner, dont let us die alone!
Stevey Apr 3, 2019 @ 11:55am
Maybe that is the issue. I successfully changed the crafting requirements of Baby Premium Care mod and that is a craft on yourself item. I have no problems changing those requirements. Puzzling.
weedo  [author] Apr 2, 2019 @ 7:28am
you welcome, a tip that might help figure it out is that you don't actually craft the item itself you craft the engram that gives the item but the item itself doesn't have a crafting method. I did this so that it's possible to craft it in your inventory.
Stevey Apr 1, 2019 @ 7:30pm
So far the kibble seems to be working fine. Just having problems changing the crafting requirements to different items. I can successfully do it on other items, but this mod it won't work. I really like the mod and was hoping there was a quick and easy fix on your part. Thanks for the work. Much appreciated.
weedo  [author] Apr 1, 2019 @ 7:14am
yes this is a bit outdated now, I haven't played the game in a long time so it's hard to keep up with it and testing.
It should still work as intended and could still be ok specially for the hunger pill, that helps a lot you can easily hunger pill and tame with prime most carnivorous things at full potential.
There's an official revamp of kibble if i understood correctly but i haven't looked into it personally.
Stevey Mar 31, 2019 @ 6:23pm
I tried changing the engram requirements as well. It doesn't work for me either. Usually works for me, but not with this mod. I will keep trying. Any one get it to work?
Jimbodiah Feb 20, 2019 @ 12:46am
180 TekRex tames to 225... should be 270+
Cerberus Jan 22, 2019 @ 3:22pm
I wrote this in game.ini but it is not working a glitch or i messed up something?
ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemConsumable_PerfectKibble_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_RareFlower_C",BaseResourceRequirement=20.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_RareMushroom_C",BaseResourceRequirement=20.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemConsumable_CookedMeat_Jerky_C",BaseResourceRequirement=5.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemConsumable_CookedPrimeMeat_Jerky_C",BaseResourceRequirement=5.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemConsumable_Honey_C",BaseResourceRequirement=10.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Polymer_Organic_C",BaseResourceRequirement=20.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false)))
Cerberus Jan 22, 2019 @ 1:56pm
Thank you a LOT :)
weedo  [author] Jan 22, 2019 @ 11:59am
ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemConsumable_PerfectKibble_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemConsumable_RawMeat_C",BaseResourceRequirement=3.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemConsumable_CookedMeat_C",BaseResourceRequirement=2.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false)))

that's just an exemple of crafting costs i copied from the wiki you can change the crafting cost to whatever you want
Cerberus Jan 22, 2019 @ 10:15am
Hi, great mod, i love it. Just wanted to ask if you can give me tips on how to change the engram costs, my server has high multipliers and crafting the kibble is a bit too easy so i am trying to change the cost a bit. Im unsure about the ItemClassString so if someone could tell me would be great. Thanks!
