Does it integrate with VFE medieval in any way?
Elsy Aug 23 @ 11:24am
Is this a forestry minecraft refrence?
TiraboTurbos Aug 19 @ 4:54pm
Oh, Genewax from also having Genetics can't be made into flooring?
Jack of All Worlds Aug 17 @ 1:05pm
Beehive shrine, maybe? Style would be hexcomb.
TiraboTurbos Aug 17 @ 12:20pm
With bee hives and houses as meditation points? Or anywhere bees are stored?
Jack of All Worlds Aug 17 @ 12:10pm
A tie in to Ideology to create a bee worshipping ideology would be awesome.
Yinyang107 Aug 17 @ 9:50am
In my defense I'm stupid,
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Aug 16 @ 10:39pm
There's one linked above
Yinyang107 Aug 16 @ 12:20pm
Anyone know of an updated/available breeding chart?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Aug 14 @ 11:16pm
It's already patched
Damean Reavers Aug 14 @ 5:57pm
Is there a way to make the Mead from this usable in Vanilla Brewing Expanded recipes like the fine cocktail? Is there a mod I'm missing for compatibility?
TiraboTurbos Aug 14 @ 2:15am
And even then, it's still pretty good, especially after a bunch of breeding, you can easily have TONS of hives and get LIMITLESS HONEY!
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Aug 14 @ 12:41am
That's all true, the only reason honey decays in this mod is for balance reasons. It is TOO good otherwise
TiraboTurbos Aug 13 @ 10:45pm
Huh... interesting.
TurtleShroom Aug 13 @ 6:39pm
@Tiraboturbos

Honey never, ever rots in RL as long as a lid is put on it. EVER. Archaeologists have literally dug up sealed jars of honey from Egyptian tombs and ate it straight out of the canopic jar. Not only was it edible, it was still sweet. We are talking a shelf life of close to seven thousand years. This is because honey has almost no water and is too thick for bacteria to thrive without sun and additives tainting the honey.

The only honey that rots under my Mod's purview is the Tasty Honey, because it's special. It rots fast.
TiraboTurbos Aug 13 @ 2:41pm
Also 60 days is a lot. If you make the honey into meals that's more than enough time, even if you don't, it doesn't take 60 for the bees to make honey, by the time one jar goes bad, you'll have earned 30 times as many AT LEAST. You HAVE to be joking Oggy.

Also, Turtle, HOW does your mod "fix" something that isn't a real issue? The description of it doesn't mention expiration(but it DOES mention a bunch of other useful stuff, like Bumbledrones producing honey, I think I'll start using your mod, even though I'm not using most of the other mods it benefits). I'm guessing it just makes honey not expire, straight up.
TiraboTurbos Aug 13 @ 2:35pm
@0ggy#InDuckted
Are you joking? That's what your freezer is for, store it with all the other perishables.:steamfacepalm:
0ggy#InDuckted Aug 13 @ 1:04pm
Honey spoils in 60 days? unplayable
Niralys Aug 11 @ 5:26pm
@dj_jo_killer_dk one way i found to quickly search for wild beehives: on the bottom right of your screen you should have a search button (otherwise press Z), click on it and search for "hive" it will tell you exactly which trees have them.

Hopefully is a vanilla feature, I've been running heavy on mods for months now so I can't really remember, but I think it's something they added with 1.5

Worst case scenario zoom in, you should be able to see a few beehives hanging on the trees
TurtleShroom Aug 9 @ 11:06am
@GoofyGuy73

Dude, that's awesome! Please consider uploading that Mod!
GoofyGuy73 Aug 9 @ 10:32am
i made my own sapient bees and apparently, (using mind coalescence from myconoids to mimic hivemind) they are the ultimate lifeform
adam110902 Aug 8 @ 9:05am
would it be possible to add support for in-game wiki mod in-game wiki ?
it would make seeing the bee info in game much more convinient
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Aug 4 @ 10:28am
Of course man, tc
TurtleShroom Aug 4 @ 10:03am
You are right. I wish to apologize for upsetting you, Sarg. You are right, and I have deleted the offending comments. I hope that we can still be friends.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Aug 4 @ 1:15am
@TurtleShroom : Why do you ALWAYS have to act like this? "Laaaame". Instead of asking why this was done? I think I have shown you nothing but respect over the years, yet all I receive from you is attitude, and I'm tired of it.
dj_jo_killer_dk Aug 3 @ 7:36am
okay thanks i will explore that
thestormkat Aug 3 @ 7:36am
is there any issue with this one?

Vanilla biomes should have trees with beehives.

If not, merchants will sell the two most basic bees
dj_jo_killer_dk Aug 3 @ 5:04am
i have a really hard time finding any bees, do you get them when cutting down trees or how ?
Jack of All Worlds Aug 2 @ 10:56am
No worries - I know you have other things going on. I appreciate your work!
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Aug 2 @ 9:22am
Can't even look into it till the 15th
Jack of All Worlds Aug 2 @ 6:04am
Drones dying in the cold in beehives is back for me. It started sometime after the last core update.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Jul 31 @ 2:33am
@June: And I'm telling you, there is nothing specific about it. The game can't tell two items apart when it comes to such issues unless they have specific code. Honey is the same as potatoes, so you have further issues in your game, be it a mod conflict or otherwise
TiraboTurbos Jul 30 @ 8:48pm
Normally pawns hate nutrient paste, so they might just be rebelling. XD
june Jul 30 @ 8:34pm
@Sarg Bjornson i'm saying this because this specifically only happens with honey and no other food item
june Jul 30 @ 8:28pm
@Ammy yeah i wouldn't consider it an issue if there *wasn't* any food available, but i have a full vat of nutrient paste and they're set to only eat paste and nothing else. maybe it's an issue with the dispenser
Ammy Jul 30 @ 4:34pm
@june make sure you have enough food in the colony in general. I've only had them go for honey if there weren't meals available, or if it was closest.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Jul 30 @ 10:50am
Not sure what you'd want me to do about that. It's just a food item. No code
june Jul 30 @ 1:17am
colonists keep eating honey even though it's restricted in their food policy
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Jul 29 @ 10:15am
It's 20% queens iirc
Ammy Jul 28 @ 7:58am
The Brood house, does it produce Queens? I suspect I'm just getting very unlucky, but after my bees were decimated, I've been trying to keep breeding the ones I have, but I've gotten 30 drones and not a single queen so far from the Vampire bees.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Jul 27 @ 5:42am
Maybe one day. Bigger fish to fry right now
Famous5000 Jul 27 @ 5:25am
Would it be possible, if a modder were to help, to make it so they could be rotated? I'm assuming it would require more sprites plus some extra coding to make sure the brood/hybrid chambers work properly.

I'd love to use this on my Odyssey ship and right now, as it stands, if I want the ship to be rotatable, I would need to disassemble the beehives before launching.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Jul 27 @ 5:19am
Just the way they were designed
Famous5000 Jul 27 @ 5:16am
I'm curious but is there any particular reason why rotations are disabled for the beehives? Is it because of the hybridization/brood chambers?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Jul 26 @ 10:57pm
Sounds like something Ludeon should handle, doesn't it?
FluffTrooper Jul 26 @ 10:27pm
howdy, don't know if this has been brought up or is important but with how the beehouses currently work with their linkables and not being rotatable, things get weird on the gravship if you start in one orientation and land in another
TurtleShroom Jul 25 @ 2:31pm
@Ammy

My Make Honey Even More Compatible Mod fixes that! Download that, and you can burn other beeswax in the candles!
