@Shaostoul - I think I fixed it all up. Tried to add you as contributor but we're not friends apparently! Sent friend request.

Thank you for the report <3

I hope to!

I'm sad to say that the mod makes my game crash when I place the spotlight turrets. I know you're retired but if you manage to get a modding team and revive your mods, then SE would be so much better. I'm using almost all your mods because you get exactly what's missing from the game.
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 27. mar. 2021 kl. 1:27
Whenever I can hire a dedicated modding team for SE, I'll revive all my mods. Doing so is entirely dependent on community support for Project Universe.

i miss this mod so much :(
jetblade545 7. jan. 2021 kl. 18:53
the game crashes when i place the block
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 22. nov. 2020 kl. 14:13
Sorry to hear it's crashing :( There's nothing I can do. If you or someone you find can fix it, they're free to do so. You may need someone with C# experience to edit the scripts that make it work. It could just be SBC files, but it's unlikely. If you do fix it, add me as a friend to add as a contributor to "your mod" so my fans won't flag it.
MEGATRON 22. nov. 2020 kl. 2:12
I was really excited to try this mod, great for roleplays but.... C.R.A.S.H ruined everything :steamsad:
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 30. okt. 2020 kl. 11:21
Go ahead! Add me as a contributor so my fans don't flag it.

I've modified it to make sure it works and will add it to my mod package. If you agree with me to use this mod. I can upload this mod to steam.
人族狙击手 30. okt. 2020 kl. 2:04
Hello, I want to modify your mod and publish it to steam.
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2020 kl. 19:57
No idea.

Someone is free to update it, they need to have a good understanding of C# to fix it.

All of my time, energy & resources are dedicated to the develop a sci-fi MMO with volunteers from my community. I'll likely update all my mods for Space Engineers after Project Universe is well funded allowing me to hire people to make the mods even better & keep them updated.

Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 12. maj 2019 kl. 21:45
Well... it's only cause I'm moving on to bigger and better things, such as developing my own video game with the community on my Discord. https://shaostoul.com

RIP
I still remember your youtube modding guides :)
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 18. apr. 2019 kl. 9:25
No problem. SE was one of the most fun games to mod.
Drake 18. apr. 2019 kl. 7:42
@Shaostoul, Hope you do... One of my favorite. Thanks so much to the mod work you do!
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 23. mar. 2019 kl. 21:44
That naming scheme is essentially allowing to me to add a plethora of different styles of spotlights, if I ever came back to this mod to add more to it.
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 23. mar. 2019 kl. 21:40
I messaged Blue Knight to check this crash out, but we're working on developing our own game now, so it might take a bit longer. We'd like to get paid for doing this stuff and to make our own video game gives that us that chance.
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 23. mar. 2019 kl. 21:37
No, that's proper. They're definitions for the 3 lights that there are. The Spotlight_Turret_Large is the large grid block that is 1x1x1. The Spotlight_Turret_Small is the small grid spotlight of the same size. In small blocks, that's 5x5x5. Then the SmallSpotlight_Turret_Small is the itty bitty small grid spotlight that's only 1x1x1 small grid blocks.
Alb 23. mar. 2019 kl. 21:08
Yeah, definitely no light being emitted. Also I looked at the log and noticed that you have 3 different spotlight turret definitions being made.

Spotlight_Turret_Large
Spotlight_Turret_Small
SmallSpotlight_Turret_Small

Or maybe this is where the mod conflict is? That I somehow have another mod trying to add its own spotlight turret? Which is weird because I'm sure as heck that I don't have another mod that adds more spotlight turrets.

Your mod didn't throw any errors, other than the crash at the end. I think it specifically has to do with the flashlight image texture thing not showing up (and trying to adjust it, thus throwing the null reference exception). There's another mod that is preventing it from showing and I'm still trying to figure out what it is.
Alb 23. mar. 2019 kl. 20:52
Ok, so update on my issue:
It seems I can now see the options for changing color and whatnot. I'm not sure what I changed to make that happen.
However, I seem to be having the same issue that @Lynsis is having where the entire game crashes when we touch the light offset slider. And yeah I didn't see any light being emitted either, but it was daylight and I wasn't able to change it to nighttime before it crashed. I'll go back and test it in the dark again just to make sure if it was really not emitting any light.
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 23. mar. 2019 kl. 17:19
You should be able to. Blue Knight did a fairly significant rewrite of some of the code.
ibfolk2c 23. mar. 2019 kl. 17:12
can you turn them off now?
Alb 23. mar. 2019 kl. 2:30
Ok I just tested it with no other mods and it seems to work fine. So something is conflicting with it then. I'll have to figure out what it is.
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 22. mar. 2019 kl. 23:30
I'm not sure. Can you test with just the spotlight mod installed? That way we can make sure if it's our mod or not.
Alb 22. mar. 2019 kl. 22:30
umm yes? Would there be a conflict somewhere? I'm using text hud api, and not using the ammo management mod... What would conflict?
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 22. mar. 2019 kl. 21:57
Are you using any other mods?
Alb 22. mar. 2019 kl. 21:41
These are not emitting light in single player. No way to adjust light values either from what I see.
Kershek 20. mar. 2019 kl. 14:16
How do I manually move the light? The Control button is greyed out.
Lynsis 15. mar. 2019 kl. 17:02
server crashes when adjusting offset and no light emited.
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 11. mar. 2019 kl. 22:30
UPDATE:
Proper integration into progression system!
AlyCrafticus 9. mar. 2019 kl. 6:21
@ blueknight, that very cool, @shao maybe add to description (if I didn't miss it that is :P)
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 9. mar. 2019 kl. 2:44
I'm trying to figure it out, but it's being a doo doo head
Atomic Dash 9. mar. 2019 kl. 2:18
Own category sounds even better when combined with your other mods
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 9. mar. 2019 kl. 2:09
We were thinking of putting them in their own category or are they progressive linearly?
Atomic Dash 9. mar. 2019 kl. 1:53
I would recommend that you plug the headlights under the category "Basic Assembler" so that you can not use them immediately.
And for the sake of order ...
The_B1ue_Knight  [ophavsmand] 8. mar. 2019 kl. 15:57
I we do friendly tracking it will need to be set manually. Control the turret, point at thing, press or click button.. Now the turret will track thing until a new thing is set or the tracked thing moves out of range. SE doesn't have friendly tracking by default so this is the only way I can think of we would do it.
AlyCrafticus 7. mar. 2019 kl. 15:38
Yeah, I have had a little peruse, they don't give much to work with do they lol
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 7. mar. 2019 kl. 14:27
We're trying to fix things up, it might come with that, we're not sure. Space Engineers modding is stupid weird.
AlyCrafticus 7. mar. 2019 kl. 14:22
Only thing it need now is friendly tracking then it will be the perfect spotlight <3
AlyCrafticus 7. mar. 2019 kl. 14:19
Thankyou you wonderful human being <3 I am defo gonna try and send ya some cash <3
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 6. mar. 2019 kl. 20:09
UPDATE: Another update!
Fixes:
Fixed Crash when changing Intensity or Offset values
Shrunk the interaction box for the terminal. I have no idea why it's messed up. The small grid version and it's essentially the same thing.

Additions:
Added "Control" to Cockpit Toolbar
AlyCrafticus 6. mar. 2019 kl. 3:41
and cannot control via toolbar :P
AlyCrafticus 6. mar. 2019 kl. 3:37
It now actually works, but targeting seems to not? mainly characters as far as I can tell
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2019 kl. 22:44
UPDATE:
Hey guys, mod just got a huge rewrite, should be safe to use with other mods now, usable on dedicated servers, and hopefully not mess up any more!

If you run into any issues, let me know and we'll try to get them fixed.

Next update should hopefully be getting this working with the progression system.
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2019 kl. 21:58
Hey guys, I'm so sorry to do this to you, but I need to work on my future for concern of not having one if I'm not careful. Please check out the video added to the description discussing me going on hiatus from modding Space Engineers.
AlyCrafticus 5. mar. 2019 kl. 8:11
YAY <3 Good luck with the game too :P
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 4. mar. 2019 kl. 14:17
Hey guys, just letting you know that this mod is presently being worked on to be fixed up, upgraded, and made to be a better mod. It'll take a while for it to happen, but it's presently WIP.
Shaostoul  [ophavsmand] 1. mar. 2019 kl. 3:59
Hello everyone, I wanted to give you an update as to what is presently transpiring. I'm developing a sci-fi video game, with a bunch of SE modders, and we just had this little opportunity pop up: https://www.facebook.com/Shaostoul/posts/10218897253681722

If SE sponsors the development of this game (currently dubbed Project Universe), we could see a ton of updates to my SE mods, as I'll be able to safely work on modding a ton, while simultaneously working to develop my own game.
