What's funny is that since I talk to the SOTP guys on occasion I was privy to a few unused designs, one called the Ticonderoga-class which was also meant to be a battleship, made from scratch and really really nice but they never used it. Instead they just blew up the old Valiant, kinda reminds me how they did Long Night of Solace by just enlarging a Halo 3 CAS-class while they made whole new models for the actual CAS-classes which show up for three seconds.
That is a mod, and for this series I am staying vanilla. I'll use that in the modified series later on.
I'm particularly happy with how the main drive array turned out with the triangular layout and the neat little secondary engines.
Switched to all heavy armor, multiple layers. Ship now extremely slow.
Fixed issue with auxillary hangar not having gravity
Patched holes
Put lights in entrance to escort bay entries
Updated interior passageways
Other small changes
Plans:
Make all heavy armor, maybe do two layers
Replace the placeholder guns and designator turrets with long range guns like CSD cannons. Will accept recommendations
The full modded version I plan to have later will have up to three layers of heavy armor. God knows there's plenty of room.
Dr: Thank you! This ship has been a long time coming and I almost lost it in a PC crash months ago.
