Since this mod has been reported working in 1.6 I added it to the No Version Warning-mod

Works great in 1.6, as always. Just a retexture.
R41N Jul 17 @ 6:15am
I assume it's working in 1.6. I hope.
Lucifer Sam Apr 13, 2024 @ 10:15am
Lol thanks ferny. Yea I have like 150 mods and I've been dreading having to go through the list and verify and remove.
ferny Apr 12, 2024 @ 11:13pm
Works in 1.5

Anyone have a comparison screenshot for this mod?

EDIT - I made one myself. Here's the link with side-by-side* differences. In the screenshots one can see soil, and rich soil and what I assume to be the "gravel" mentioned above, though in-game it calls this "stony soil"

https://ibb.co/GsN5fsT

I do I really like the added green in standard soil, giving the grass a healthier look, and the darker rich soil is nice - but I gotta say - I much prefer the vanilla "stony soil" texture over the"gravel" in this mod.

EDIT II - So, I kinda missed the added greenery Terrain provides, so I went ahead and made a rework of the mod that replaces the gravel tile with an enhanced version of the stony soil tile. Link below:

*@Syrchalis - Feel free to put it in your screenshots.

I've figured out the issue! It seems the conflict is with ReGrowth, as when I tried uninstalling that this mod worked perfectly fine, textures and all.
Moonshrooms Jun 8, 2023 @ 7:02pm
I've had an issue ever since the 1.4 update of Rimworld, where this mod doesn't change textures for me at all. I've tried changing the load order from top to bottom, I've tried unsubbing and resubbing, I've tried deleting the whole mod entirely and resubbing, but nothing changes, all just the vanilla textures :( There's no error that gets logged that I can see, but I just can't figure out what my conflict is. Any ideas?

VE and regrowth friendly?
Onyx Nov 5, 2022 @ 5:41pm
Thanks for updating to 1.4, even if it was just to clear the version warning nuisance.

Works well for me with 1.3

@Random Tank what happens to the default vanilla textures during these events, does it just change into purely dirt, can you screenshot an example?
Random Tank Dec 30, 2020 @ 1:38pm
One thing I'd love to request; would it be possible if these textures could change back to default ones during certain weather/events? I love the textures, but during heavy snowfall/extreme cold or toxic fallout it seems a bit strange to have grass everywhere... or would this be too difficult/impossible?

@Felios, there's a link to the github in the forums post

Is there any hope for a non-steam version? I was thinking of editing mine so stony soil looks more distinct from rough granite. But the grass looks AMAZING
Siri May 6, 2020 @ 10:22am
Looks great, thank you for the mod!
Syrchalis  [author] Apr 11, 2020 @ 10:29am
I was experimenting with regular soil, that's why it seemed like it wasn't working. However I decided that rich soil is a much better contender for "earthy, brown" looking.

I redid all textures to be better looking, hope you like it.
Ergwano Apr 9, 2020 @ 12:02pm
Regular soil seems to be broken since a few days :(
Otherwhise really good retexture, thank you!
Siri Apr 8, 2020 @ 4:05pm
For me it's working on fertile soil (and gravel I think) but regular soil looks like vanilla
Xyvern Apr 6, 2020 @ 3:13pm
yeah it isnt workin for some reason
Macca Apr 6, 2020 @ 8:57am
uhh i was using this earlier today and then stopped playing for a few hours and when i just opened my game just then this mod isnt working anymore. I havent changed any thing, so im a little confused
Syrchalis  [author] Mar 8, 2020 @ 10:58am
Updated to 1.1.
Syrchalis  [author] Jun 9, 2019 @ 12:49am
Yeah it's just a texture swap.
smitty_the_smith Jun 8, 2019 @ 1:43pm
Can this be added to existing saves? I'm guessing yes.
TJawn McJawnnell Mar 20, 2019 @ 3:14pm
Thanks for considering it!
Syrchalis  [author] Mar 19, 2019 @ 8:11pm
I haven't played in a desert biome with this yet, might need to re-do it.
TJawn McJawnnell Mar 17, 2019 @ 9:36am
This is the one right here. Solves my issue with gravel being practically invisible without making it too bright.

For the author: Would you ever consider a separate pack for warmer biomes like arid and desert? There's just a bit too much green on the soil.
jpinard Oct 26, 2018 @ 12:27pm
boreal marsh that is. Have not looked at temperate or tropical marsh in a while.
jpinard Oct 26, 2018 @ 12:26pm
Haha I'm glad you identified it. How do you feel about tackling the vanilla marsh as well? ;p
Syrchalis  [author] Oct 26, 2018 @ 3:20am
Yeah, Photoshop likes to troll me and sometimes moves the whole thing a pixel.
Hobi Oct 26, 2018 @ 1:37am
I have saw that line in my games many times and i dont even have this mod.
jpinard Oct 25, 2018 @ 11:39pm
There is a seam running down the tundra areas. Maybe there's 1 line of pixels missing or a trasnsparency is off. Can you fix it? Look in the middle of the screenshot over the message.

jpinard Oct 24, 2018 @ 10:50am
Could you do something about swamp in Boreal eco too? It looks like water in vanilla.
jpinard Oct 24, 2018 @ 12:14am
Yes! This is beautiful! Awesome!
Syrchalis  [author] Oct 23, 2018 @ 12:20am
Made colors lighter for the green patches and made the gravel ones more yellow-ish, should improve overall look.
Syrchalis  [author] Oct 22, 2018 @ 10:20am
I made the color of the green patches more yellow and brighter on gravel. Rich Soil now has less and darker green patches to make it stand out more again.

Half the reason for this mod was to make rich soil obvious and the green patches made it somewhat hidden again.
lloki Oct 21, 2018 @ 12:08pm
But maybe consider to remove green from gravel and stony soil - it looks strange at desert biomes :P
lloki Oct 21, 2018 @ 3:48am
Looks cool, thank you :)
