@Iandrasil: Feel free to open up the mod's files in ..\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\594570\1543888097 and see what it does with the AI values. Units in my game route as normal btw, unless they are unbreakbale.

I don't think this mod works, trying it in battle and AI literally never routs with this mod, uninstalled it and AI routs as if their leadership bonusses are removed, trying to find a mod that actually stops the AI cheating but almost all are bugged or not working as described so far

@Avrahammer: Yes! I didn't expect the extra slider for multiplayer battle difficulty before Warhammer III, but now they finally added it. I couldn't find it anywhere in their patch notes tho... sneaky.
I'll keep this mod around, since it's easy to update and because I think that some scripted battles and invasions still scale off of the battle difficulty settings.

Thank! I always hope higher battle difficult means smarter AI and better strategy. I don't want a cheating AI which simply has better stats than me lmao

Thank you. I just ran into Britonians and charged 2 groups of archers with 3 units of cav. Watched my cav get decimated. The AI can already spawn full 20 stacks out of thin air, I don't know why they need so many combat bonuses.

@LWH: The new update does not change AI battle difficulty, so the mod here still works fine.
I'll update the date later so the launcher will not show it as outdated.

@aeON: I think the AI uses the same values and math formulas as the player does when it comes to routing and rallying. So it should be kinda fair if you use normal battle difficulty in SP or any battle difficulty + this mod.
At least that's how I interpret the "_kv_morale" table where the things related to morale are located. I might be wrong, of course. Or it's just not visible to modders. In TW:W I, AI cheats were even less moddable than right now.
Or do you mean it seems unfair on higher difficulties without the mod? Because then, when rallying chance is calculated, the AI gets +4/+10 to its morale value and the player gets -2/-4, which screws up the formula and helps the AI rally, while it gets harder for your units.

hey i love this mod. Was getting sick of empire swordsmen going toe to toe with chaos warriors. I was wondering is there anyway you can edit the chance routing AI units rally? I noticed the ai seems to rally way quicker than my forces. It kinda makes terror routs useless.

@PoohPuss: Yes, this mod changes something that CA hasn't touched in a long time by now. They did split off the Chaos invasion difficulty from campaign difficulty some time ago, but battle difficulty still works in the same, suboptimal way as before.
Just checked it again right now.
I'll update the file date, so the launcher doesn't show it as outdated. But the file itself is still fine.

@Freankh: I don't know if the main game or your other mods will work with a 2 year old savegame, but this mod just changes battle difficulty and battle difficulty can be changed at any point during your campaign.

The Total War: Warhammer battle system and universe is amazing and fun but, CA don't even play their own game that much. Thus, they end up making some game mechanics that are stupid. Fortunately, we have people like you who plays the game and know exactly how to fix it. Relief. Thank you.

Sorry for the wait :/ I'm done going through the two relevant tables and it seems CA didn't do anything in the May 2020 update that would have affected this mod.
So the old version was still fine and it just needed a new date to convince the launcher of this

Hi Zorander, Would you please update this mod to work with yesterdays patch?
This mod is a must for multiplayer and I am stuck without it in a coop campaign on very hard with my brother on normal. Campaign difficulty is fine but this mod is hugely important for the battles with there not being a separate slider for battle difficulty in multiplayer.

@DarwinPon: I originally created the mod because separate campaign and battle difficulties are only available in singleplayer, but not in co-op or head-to-head multiplayer.

The cheating in these games is ridiculous. I especially hate it when AI armies can retreat from a battle they think they can't win in the campaign, and get a free movement turn, allowing them to suddenly gain an advantageous position, doubly so when they ignore your armies area of control and retreat through your armies.
