Only found this now in 2025. :-(

But love your work and using some of your mods. Saw a few comments back about the mobility modifier not working... did that get fixed as I'm trying to give this a penalty as well. Doesn't seem to work for me unless I'm missing something.

Fantastic weapon, blends very well ingame, badass sound, I love the fact that you added the weapon tier upgrades and multiple weapon modes-types where to choose as well.

If I have to find a downside:
- Weapon mods-upgrades works 100%, but are not visible.
- Weapon sound is extremely annoying and loud when your soldier does suppressive fire because it replays in loop, to the point of overlapping the music, voices, explosions and almost every other sound till you end your turn or when its triggered by the enemy. This sound issue does not take distance into account, so even if you move the camera away from the soldier who is doing supressive fire, it still sounds right next to you, ear raping loop of the cannon spraying bullets. The solution I found is to give suppressive fire order at the end of my turn. The default fire mode volume is okay, however I'm not sure if its even possible to use an alternative sound effect-archive for when you do the supressive fire, at a lower volume.

I have Cannon Animation Redux but for some reason all the LMG's I have from your pack including this seem to be disconnected from actual hands/rigging, and are missing some expected sounds when firing. Only in the "Smug" preset does the character hold it properly, however any other, and in-game when firing, it's like they're holding an invisible weapon and the gun is quite a bit lower than expected.

I know you were toying with the idea of making this equippable by SPARKs, any plans in that direction? They are unfortunately lacking in cosmetic weapon options and I can only do so much with Weapon Skin Replacer

I use Wraith Archon to extract the models. I also have a repository of most ofthe IW models I've ripped from the game (Weapons and Ships, including the Skelter and Jackal)

Noticed you have worked on quite a few of the CoD mods. Do you have any plans of making the armors from Black Ops 2 and Advanced Warfare for Xcom 2 WotC?

@ ∑3245 this is a total beast! I may have said that before. This is becoming my go-to heavy weapon. The way the soldiers grip the weapon is perfect no over extension of the arms but natural and its a beast.

The mobility part dose not work,- love the look and sound of them, but need to be able to restrict the movment if i am going to use them as a heavier cannon than the normal game one.Did put -4, but still moves same as normal cannon.Any chance to see if it can be fixed, please?

Archangel, now this is not about discrimination, HIghlander now no crash start game for MAC/LINUX users but applications using it may not take into account changes for MAC/LINUX.The situation is complicated by the fact that we previously could not use these applications and often do not understand their purpose and causes, as well as possible conflicts with other mods. I recall that we could never run HIghlander before. Musashis mod's very good i think but i wont so he and others moders pay attention to this error.

@Solar: i know, just it's pretty much the same deal as "LW2 mod when" guys XD. the current WoTC mod tools are just great, and pretty much all modders use them. it's not because they're being discriminatory to vanilla/LW2 players, it's just times've changed, and the majority of the Community plays WoTC exclusively now.

Thanks for the comment, I certainly know everything about what you said and my post was rather just a way to report a problem, and I don’t want to use Windows for this, you yourself know a lot and I won’t list them all - I like the game and 3245 mods. Respect.

@Solar: fact is most mods are made for Windows, including the Highlander.

they'll get adapted eventually, but if you want compatibility right out the gate, you'll kinda have to use windows (I prefer 7 myself, as i can't stand 10)

Great mod but there are nuances - installed with Cannon Animation Redux causes crash while loading the first mission. Installed without this addition works fine, only there is a large asymmetry graphics between the arms and gun. Everything I said concerns use MAC/OS,of all the mods created or requiring the Highlander base, I managed to launch only one of the simplest (katana pack). I think that the problem for users of the MAS and LINUX when using Hignlander applications is not fully resolved. It is a little upset that your excellent mod relies on this base for the first time through the application. Thanx.

Great mod, will use on my heavy hitters. I have a recommendation if you're planning on doing more heavy weapons. Maybe you can do something like this:

Next is either the Terror 4000 from Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon or any of the heavy weapons from Wolfenstein: The New Colossus.
