@KillerKnabe @Glowth @Frission - Hi again, check out the Build#41 Update: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2701674171&searchtext=

@Frission - I'm tinkering with loot today. The plan is to re-release Fine Vanilla, if possible, this week.
Frission Dec 27, 2021 @ 11:06am
RIP. Yeh loot tables in general seem a bit FUBAR in 41. :<
GM-X  [author] Dec 27, 2021 @ 3:52am
@Frission Fine Vanilla items do not spawn in Build #41, far as I can tell. I will need to release a new version.
Frission Dec 21, 2021 @ 5:36am
@KillerKnabe So this is basically broken until the author updates for 41? D:
Cybermensch Dec 20, 2021 @ 9:42am
Titanum Tool isnt useable as a hammer, the Led zippo cant light cigarets, the alumin um bat cant be used with two hand
Frission Aug 29, 2020 @ 6:27am
The Titanium Tool isn't usable as a hammer, unfortunately :<

@Glowth - Hi. Do you mean in Build 41 you cannot store Great Ice Pick at all? That would be very weird and annoying. Once Build 41 launches, I will likely update Fine Vanilla though. :Botanist:
Glowth Jun 23, 2020 @ 4:09am
Can't put weapons on my back or on my belt, hope it gets updated so you can do that :) Item in question specifically, great ice pick.
GM-X  [author] Jan 9, 2020 @ 1:04pm
@Glowth - Should still work yeah?
Glowth Jan 5, 2020 @ 5:04pm
build 41?
DarkArtistryNKP Jun 27, 2019 @ 12:22pm
Cool that should allow people to find actual sledgehammer's since I assume you can't add function to them.
GM-X  [author] Jun 27, 2019 @ 11:18am
@DarkArtistryNKP - Updated. Fine mallets will be much more rare now. :MarsMission:
DarkArtistryNKP Jun 8, 2019 @ 10:14pm
I noticed the repair thing & I personally think that's great. Would it be possible to allow them to be used for crafting? If not maybe up the rarity, cuz finding 5 fine mallets in a warehouse area's but no sledge seems a bit off.
GM-X  [author] Jun 8, 2019 @ 7:22pm
@DarkArtistryNKP - Yes, fine vanilla items cannot be repaired or used for crafting. I've updated the description to reflect that.
DarkArtistryNKP May 26, 2019 @ 11:28pm
"fine mallet" seems as though it is supposed to be the sledgehammer but upgraded. However it does not seem to have the sledgehammer function

@Giaccomo - If you like, and or someone else seconds the motion I will post a "Rare Fine Vanilla" mod and cut the spawn rates by 50%. Sound about right? @eyepilot
Giaccomo Nov 19, 2018 @ 12:33am
Yeah, it´s the droprate in General is too high. I found even more Baseball Bats than the others but even the other ones are too many.
GM-X  [author] Nov 13, 2018 @ 6:56am
@Giaccomo - Thank you for chiming in about rare drops. Currently the chance to find aluminum bats on zombies is the same as most other fine vanilla weapons. Are you finding too many Great Hunting Knives/Ice Picks also?

LED zippos cast brighter and wider (flickery) light than vanilla lighters. You should be able to use them to light Blazing Molotov Cocktails. At this point, they are "for fun" but could help in a dark night.
Giaccomo Nov 13, 2018 @ 2:58am
Oh, and one more thing. I think the Baseball Bat should have be to equipped in both Hands as the normal one (with lesser impact in one Hand), otherwise it´s to OP, I think.
Giaccomo Nov 13, 2018 @ 2:41am
Hi,
i tested this mod recently (and still doing so) and I still think the Droprate is way to high. We play on extremly rare for everything and i have like 4 Aluminium Bats in my inventory. I found them all in Zombie Corpses. I didn´t find any normal Baseball Bat or any other weapon during the same time. So if you want to play with tough setting (as we do) it´s a really way to high drop rate.
But still nice Mod.

Btw: I can´t smoke, having the LED Lighter in the inventory. For what is this useful?
eyepilot Nov 3, 2018 @ 8:55pm
Just looted a couple warehouses and only found a titanium hammer and a spear so things are looking more balanced. I think keeping this stuff as rare makes it way more interesting. Great job!
GM-X  [author] Nov 2, 2018 @ 9:03pm
Should now be able to use Fine Vanilla knives for butchering. Zombie loot spawn rates have been lowered again. I have removed all silenced firearms from this mod. @eyepilot
GM-X  [author] Oct 28, 2018 @ 1:35pm
@eyepilot - Just updated all fine vanilla items to be more uncommon. Let me know how things go on extremely rare loot settings after this patch.
eyepilot Oct 28, 2018 @ 1:26pm
Hey thanks for the response. The silenced weapons are confirmed rare, as I have only found one pistol and one shotgun in about 16 hours of game play. But I have a kitchen cupboard full of knives, icepicks and mallets.
I like that there is no repair option
GM-X  [author] Oct 28, 2018 @ 11:45am
@eyepilot - I will look into modding the butcher knife for carcass use.

Tested loot rarity on common and normal for weapons and keep scaling back the chances. Agreed that finding most items should be rare, silenced weapons especially.

The idea now is this: if you raid a large area of houses or crates, you should find "a few" fine vanilla items - but not a complete set. At extremely rare: 1 or 2 unless you get lucky.
eyepilot Oct 28, 2018 @ 6:49am
Ive been using this mod a couple days now. Great stuff but it seems weird I cant butcher a carcass with the butcher knife.
:)
Also I have my weapons spawn in current game as extremely rare. I am finding way too many great icepicks, great hunting knives, fine mallets and such. I tihink the mod would be more interesting if your items rarely showed up.
I downloaded mid game so not sure if thats the reason, but in 15 mins of play I had all those items and some doubles.
Frission Oct 25, 2018 @ 2:26pm
You should make the aluminum bat moddable with duct tape and nails. :D
Sick Boy Oct 24, 2018 @ 10:59pm
Thanks man.
GM-X  [author] Oct 24, 2018 @ 10:54pm
@Sick Boy - There was a line of text explaining they are stronger more durable items that got removed. I put it back in there.
Sick Boy Oct 24, 2018 @ 10:49pm
What does "Fine" mean in this context? Are they higher quality weapons and tools? Do they last longer? Do they do more damage? Are they lighter? Are they just different looking but similar stats?

A description of what this mod does or the features the items have would be nice.
GM-X  [author] Oct 23, 2018 @ 10:54pm
@Pkmn Gummies - I can confirm there is no conflict with Hydrocraft. Bats are named "Metal" in Hydrocraft and "Aluminum Baseball Bats" in Fine Vanilla.
Gummies Oct 23, 2018 @ 12:29pm
Quick question, and sorry if it's a stupid one, but is aluminum bat a modded item/weapon? I have it available in my game but at the same time I have hydrocraft installed so I'm wondering if there would be any conflicts should I try to install this. Seems pretty nice and I'd like to give it a try but I rather not risk it cuz I can't help myself if things conflict.
ne_propheta Oct 22, 2018 @ 12:30pm
Gettin' better every time, good work :)
ne_propheta Oct 20, 2018 @ 10:46am
Many thanks, seems fine :steamhappy:
Have a nice day\night!
GM-X  [author] Oct 20, 2018 @ 10:28am
@ne_propheta - Thank you for reporting this. Should be fixed next time you log in.
ne_propheta Oct 20, 2018 @ 1:51am
Hi there :D
This mod appears twice in Mods' List. Can be a lil' bug?
