@Hazzikaze Someone posted details in these comments after doing the research, but Valve has removed a bunch of the comments. I read the news blip about his accident when it was posted. Also his Twitter and other social media presences all went silent around the same time. I used the internet archive to look at this very page to read comments that were removed. I found many that were, but the web spiders didn't crawl on the right dates to catch that post with details.

Is there a source that confirms it happened? Don't want to be that guy but people online say anything lately
