I'm male and I paint my nails team colors on game days. Go Cardinals!
that would probably work
the description would be "loosing a bet is like loosing your man-hood... except you did loose a bet and now you look like a giant ape wearing frilly colours on his finger nails"
For the rest of the mercs, it just seems like something the game doesn't need because it doesn't fit the characters. And don't anyone tell me, "Oh it would be perfect for the gender-switched TF2 female models.", because any realistic battlehardened female combatant would not bother with lipstick or nail polish on a battlefield. Who the hell do you want to impress anyway, the other women?
No, seriously, I'm not sure what to make of this, Ruskeydoo.
It's very small and not visible enough to waste a misc slot on.
It doesn't seem very in-character nor suitable for men in the late 1960s/early 1970s; could be cool if you paint the nails black and wear it alongside the Brutal Bouffant for a Goth or Punk look, but Gothics and Punks weren't around in the TF2 era. Punk music was invented ca. 1974 in the UK. Punk music would probably appeal to Scout, but...I dunno. (cont.)
