Hello Scopeh!

I'm a great fan of your work and still use your mods in 2024. You also published a great Hattori daimyo reskin on TW Center https://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?554976-Scope-s-Ninja-Daimyo-for-Hattori-Campaign-(With-custom-Skins) . But it seems like the download link has expired.

Could you please upload this mod to Steam? I would be happy to test it!

Thanks for the mod. A fun new Hattori experience .I replaced overpriced labeled Hattori units with cheap but deadly on-job-training ninjas, focusing on agents and forging alliances. The whole campaign becomes proxy wars. In the seizing Kyoto I'd rather call my clan Hattori commonwealth instead of Hattori Shogunate. LOL

I have just started to use this mod, having been steered to it by a trusted gamer. So far I love it! Having the Monomi early in the game makes gameplay much more fun and interesting. I haven't explored the skins much, but from what I have seen they are great! I plan to see if I can mix these skins with other reskin mods (Vastator, Merwanor) without actually altering the mods (load order *should* do it). Anyway, this mod represents a great deal of time and thought, and it deserves being given a chance!

Hello , first off thank you for your mod . I love it ! Having said that I do have a request of sorts , would it be possible for you to make all the units look like ninjas ? I'm well aware that there's already a mod ( or 2 ) that does just that but they do not share the same quality as your mod . Anyways , I understand if you can't but I'd be most grateful . Thank you again and keep up the good work :)

Hey, Scope! I know you're pretty much retired from modding, but is there any chance that you might still have a copy of your mod that reskins the Hattori daimyo? I'm currently using Bullgod's version, but I used to use yours way back in the day, and I liked it better. It's the only one of your mods that isn't posted over at the TW Center. Actually, your thread is still there, but there's no download link. :(

@Saki the demon mask model is property of Sega, providing this is used in Shogun 2 this is fine, the red skin is a simple recolor and therefore you have my permission to use.

@ ϟϟ DER TRIXEI PÄRTY ϟϟ =It wont work in the avatar conquest multiplayer - no.

Continuing support for this mod has proven difficult as I have other commitments with work family etc. However I will likely revisit this in the future as I enjoy Shogun 2 and will at least hotfix any bugs when the time comes. If someone can post a list of known bugs I will make it my priority to fix these when I do get around it cheers.

I was wondering, the Radious allows everyone to recruit tetsubo/katana/yahri/naginata/bow ninja units - which is pretty epic, but I was wondering if there was some alternative to Radious(since using that with this mod doesn't balance well) or if maybe you could make (i know this is an old game, but still) a few more ninja units for Hattori ? :) I always wanted to seriously do war with only ninja units, but the radious balance is off, and research etc is changed, upkeeps/stats etc etc :) Which makes it a choice one could live with, but not seriously viable in the long haul. Maybe just a Bow Ninja unit(long range sniping?) - if not, could anyone point me to another mod that would work well with scopehs mods? I love them, and I absolutely love Hattori ^^

First of all, thanks. Awesome stuff! There is an issue though with several bow units. They sound like guns when firing. Could you fix this? Would be great. Again, thanks for this mod.

2 quick questions

Do the hattori bandits also hide anywhere in the campaign map? I only ask because they are essentialy the closest to a ninja bow unit with the ability to fire while hidden.

I was also wondering if there is a way the hero ninja unit could be used as a general as the hidden everywhere ability does not seem to work with a general in the army.

is this mod of yours MP tested? my gf and i try to play it with this, but we get the issue that the server host fails to respond, and when we play without this mod we have no probem connecting to each other, we make sure we both have it ticked in the mod manager.

Is it possible you to transform units samurai Hattori identical units ronin?

historically the Hattori clan samurai did not count but are highly likely that some have joined the ronin and taught them their fighting arts

Great mod but the one thing i've noticed is that the unit value of Monomi Ninja are considered the same as Hottori Kisho Ninja. Which seems something that could be adjusted.

This mod makes the hattori bandits sound like cannons when firing their arrows. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Redongkong its only for the Hattori that the ninja become officers and if you want to nitpick history then shogun 2 might be a poor choice for you as it deviates plenty for the sake of kool. Speaking of kool, this mod is super awesome I am so glad I found it. Great job! :KneelingBow:

thought samurai never like Ninja, its like sun vs shadow, they cant be together

the troop leader can not be ninja, samurai wont follow Ninja's command, even if samurai has kisho training, it wont be coming from a ninja commander.

ninja has fairly high attck only because they pick time and location by suprise, not leading mens headon into a fight

theres a mod to have a matchlock gen and its op and i mean that 100% accresy and if u use a nuther mod called matchlock redone he has 150 range its just to much fun LOL

For those who are having trouble with the Kisho Ninja along with Darth Mod you need the Pack File Manager. Also, the thing with the Vanilla (aka not Tokugawa or Hattori) they have 2 ammunition as well. The 11 is just a misprint in the encyclopedia so 3 ammunition was actually an improvement.

Hi everyone, just wanted to say that this is a great mod, also wanted to help those people who thinks that the unit size is too small.

First you have to download Pack File Manager, my version is 2.4.1
then you have to open this mod, is a .pack file
later go to db/unit_stats_land_tables/units_stats_land and look for a column that says Unit Size.
Apparently this is savegame compatible, but i am not sure. And this does not affect the vanilla ninja units, perhaps someone else can help us with that one.

grast mod, but just a quick idea: can you rebalence the upkeep cost for the kisho ninjas? The ninja hero is only 175 while the kisho is a whopping 275! I think it is unrealistic that a small squad of ninjas (especially when working for their founding clan) has a higher upkeep that a fully outfitted galleon! (nanban trade ship: 250) It is not too much of a problem because as the Hattori it is reletively easy to get a powerful economy, but it does make them quite obselete in the beggining of the game and even a certain degree towards the end. I just think it is kinda silly that their upkeep can pay for their training in three turns.

I think the major problem of the ninja units is not touched by this mod. There unit is just 45 men. I fought 5 minutes ago a battle with hattori against Tutsui and i attacked a single 125 men yari ashigaru with 3 monomi units (aka 135 Monomi), and the Monomis a) needed far too long to break the ashigarus b) lost half of their units strength. Had just 20 to 25 men left per unit and couldn´t help the rest of my army anymore.

Ninja units need at least to be 60 men strong. Otherwise they are still useless. My Monomi-Army lost utterly against the Tutsui army which was composed of Bow Ashigaru and Yari Ashigaru. Can you do something abut the unit seize?
