I very much doubt this mod could cause any issues and I've never encountered that problem myself. In my experience the Harbinger trees reproduce once you've fed them a certain amount.
Yes, but you'll need suitable terrain for planting which this mod does not include.
Yes, as per the description it allows all plants to be planted regardless of biome. When including mods that sometimes leads to a bit of weird things. The version of this mod in my tweaks collection has more customisation as it has toggles for each of the three options. Adding settings for this mod is on my to do list but its very low priority so I haven't gotten around to it.
VE ideology Dryad - Ambroisan Palm Tree is even farmable.
I really love idea of this mod though )(
Could you tell me which flowers you are planting? It sounds like you use flowers, taht are recognized as grass (not clickable in the wild). Since I play with ReGrowth Core and Medieval Overhaul, I can do some tests and get back to you.
@FrozenSnowFox
Thank you for updating this and all teh other awesome mods<3
I love my indoor gardens but teh last Rimworld update completed busted my mod setup and I haven't gotten back it RW for a few months now.
As far as I can tell render order isn't listed on plants anywhere, so its most likely hardcoded. That being the case it's outside of my skill set. Regrowth Core has an option when it comes to how trees render with stuff behind them so that could potentially fix the issue you're describing.
When you plant flowers around a tree, the flowers are always rendered in front of the tree no mater where the flowers are. Usually this bug wouldn't be an issue as flowers cant be planted or grow around trees in vanilla, but it is an issue when using this mod.
So for example, if you place a flower growing zone on the square that is directly behind a tree (basically right where all the leaves of the tree are) then the flower will render over top of the tree, even thought it should be behind it. This is the case no matter where the flowers are around the tree.
However, its only flowers that render this way from what I can tell. Since crops or other plants properly render behind trees.
I looked at your Tweaks mod, and there's a lotta' stuff there!
This mod is included in my tweaks collection and in that it's split into individual options. I'll make a note to look into adding settings for this at a later date but it'll require Xml Extensions.
I replied to your thread, as mentioned that's correct, spacing doesn't matter its more just for visual clarity when editing. Adding options requires relying on some sort of framework mod since I can't code. I don't intend to do that for this mod however it's included in my tweaks collection. I'll make a note to revise the tweak and split everything into togglable options. It's come up a few times and its not a problem adding more options in the tweaks collection. I've already done this for a couple mods in the tweak collection so they're more customisable.
Also it took away the tab spaces D:
Trees aren't automatically cut down if you roof over them, so if that's happening you might have a mod doing it.
I'm afraid I can't code so the only settings menu I'd be able to make is one relying on another mod. However the mod is all simple xml patches and they're clearly labelled so you can simply open the file in notepad and edit it to your liking.
I don't want to see trees planted adjacent in the open air
you need

If no trees are cut down during the construction process, I can only use "cut" to clean up other trees
However, in addition to cleaning the trees, "mowing" also cleans up a lot of grass, which will waste some time
Sorry but it sounds like something might be getting lost in translation there as that doesn't quite make sense.
I think you're saying it would be an issue because trees would grow under roofing and thus need cutting when you want to build? Trees and plants in general do not tend to spawn under roofing even with this mod. Once an area is roofed over it should remain devoid of plants and trees if you get rid of them all.
I imagine that could be done but it would require coding and it's not something I can do.
It's not very difficult and the patch is all neatly spaced out so you can tell what your editing. Open the file in notepad and delete the 2 remove <li> blocks related to sowing. Then delete the tags related to sowing from add <li> block.

I have no plans on doing something like that. You can however just edit the patch for this mod so it only does roofs. All that entails is deleting the other patch parts.
Thanks for letting me know. I ended up throwing VGP in my game to check it and it worked as intended without issues so I think it should work fine for every mod now.
@oicher
Can you unsubscribe and resubscribe to ensure the files update then check your game. I rewrote the patch so instead of manually adding patches it should catch everything. In my game it catches all vanilla trees and the vanilla expanded plants. The vanilla expanded plants previously needed its own custom patch to fix one of its issues but it works without that now.
I added a patch it should work now. Unsubscribe and resubscribe to ensure steam updates the files.
This mod tree Fast-growing Poplar can't be planted under roofs
Sorry but I do not plan to do any sort of balance changes to any plants.
I confirmed that it was completely cured. I'm going to be a farmer right away
I did an update for VGP earlier today first try unsubscribing and resubscribing to ensure the files are up to date. I'm fairly sure I caught everything so it should be working.
Trees are cultivated indoors, but Core trees such as oak can be planted adjacently, but VGP apple trees etc. could not be planted adjacently.
The loading order of this mod is at the bottom.
