1.5? 🙏

Thank you!

I'm noticing this doesn't seem to be working on egg-laying animals. Infertile females (the reversible version) are still laying fertilized eggs.
Black★Rock Shooter Apr 4, 2023 @ 1:42pm
@Sego this is vanilla -now- but it didn't use to be. So this mod was a god send back at that time~
Stellar Harbour Dec 11, 2022 @ 10:05am
Isn't it vanilla already?
Prototyp_002 Apr 30, 2022 @ 12:55pm
For anyone who got problems with compatibility like the comments writtem before:

I'm pretty sure there is a feature in this mod to make a sterilazation reversable through this add-on mod. But I'm not certain if it's an option for pawns in this mod, but i guess it is.
Would require the base mod "children, school and learning" and therefore maybe comes with more otions than you would want.
shevekman Mar 11, 2022 @ 11:27am
To those asking, this mod has features not available in the base game, specifically the ability to reverse sterilization.
shevekman Mar 11, 2022 @ 11:26am
Also, seems incompatible with A Dog Said, same issue where the operations from this mod are not available as options.
shevekman Feb 24, 2022 @ 3:59pm
Unexpectedly, this is incompatible with Nocturnal Animals: when running both, the operations added by this mod are not available.
Nesano Nov 29, 2021 @ 11:25pm
This is in the base game now under "sterilize," right?
Game man Nov 28, 2021 @ 11:40pm
neuterable humans
i have said my piece, goodbye
Bobbbobberson Oct 25, 2021 @ 6:44am
they added this right?
to the base game
Aaronthelemon Oct 23, 2021 @ 9:31am
@Spooky Fish
You easily can say no to extra meat.

It's useful for dogs if you dont want them to overbreed but want to breed them later.
Security Cam #7 Oct 22, 2021 @ 8:48am
@BladeofSharpness
You could just use the auto slaughter feature from rimworld 1.3 to keep your population from going over 50.

@Mickey Surviving RNG
Not needed because of what I stated above. You cannot say no to extra meat every once in a while
BladeofSharpness Oct 22, 2021 @ 5:57am
Adding reversible neutering is nice, I have a booming population of bisons (like 50) and I just want to keep them this way. If I lose some though, I still want being able to repopulate my herd.
Mickey Surviving RNG Sep 8, 2021 @ 5:22am
@Smelly Fish not exactly obsolete
this mod adds
- Surgery to permanently neuter animals, free
- Surgery to make animals reversibly infertile, 1 medicine
- Bill to abort pregnancy (works even on females in early stage)
Vanilla has only added the first option, i'd still happily use the other 2, especially the second one :)
Security Cam #7 Aug 28, 2021 @ 1:24pm
No need for update since the neuter option exists in vanilla already. This mod is obsolete as of verison 1.3
Svnsh1ne Aug 28, 2021 @ 1:15pm
Update pls!
SheakZarnn Aug 16, 2021 @ 5:53am
@RaeShePlays surgery, should the the topmost option
RaeShePlays Aug 3, 2021 @ 2:38am
Could someone tell me where to find the 1.3 neuter option? I have so many huskies.
Geobeetle Jul 27, 2021 @ 12:27pm
@PHCGamer Yeah that should work, though usually just removing these types of mods just removes the health effect
PHCGamer Jul 20, 2021 @ 12:08pm
Since 1.3 makes this obsolete, what do I need to do to make sure removing this mod doesn't cause issues? Do I need to reverse the infertility of all my animals?
test Jul 8, 2021 @ 2:35am
1.3 added it
neuromancer Jun 17, 2021 @ 10:28pm
Bob Barker reminds you to spay and neuter your Rimworld pets.
MrWalrus May 27, 2021 @ 3:17pm
does this mod work on asexually reproducing animals like aerofleets from alpha animals?
Syrchalis  [author] May 25, 2021 @ 7:15am
Tynan just programmed the systems in a way that it works for all pawns and added the few XML lines enabling this.

And this is what I meant, I could potentially write a solution, but it would only work if the human child mod uses the vanilla systems. The moment it does anything unexpected it would break. And there is unfortunately more than one mod that does this.

Either way, him having too many children is a problem caused by those mods and those mods should offer a solution, not a third party mod.

I already ensured that my mod works with pretty much any animal mod.
Security Cam #7 May 25, 2021 @ 4:54am
Syrchalis, that's not completely true.
If you force pregnancy on a human female through the dev mode they'll become pregnant and a child will be born. They even have a gestation period of 45 days set in the base game files.
Seems like Tynan wanted to add pregnancy at one point but realised it was pointless, as a child needs years upon years to finally reach maturity.
Syrchalis  [author] May 24, 2021 @ 7:39pm
Uhm no, this is intended for animals only.

The issue is, in vanilla humanlikes do not mate or use any pregnancy mechanics. So I have nothing to base my code on. I would need to look at several mods that add these systems and how they do it and tailor individual solutions.

So your best bet really, is to go to the mods that allow your colonists to "breed" and ask for a solution there.
yeastus May 24, 2021 @ 7:00pm
Does this mod work on humans? My colonists keep breeding like fucking rabbits and I run out of food and die. This is especially bad when I play ice sheet because food is already horrendously scarce and I end up having to turn the children into food to replace the food they ate but it makes their parents get really depressed. They then go mad and go wander in the cold and die to hypothermia then. And then they get turned into food just like their children and then I'm left with 1 colonist munching on his friends who eventually goes mad also leading to their demise. The children mod adds sort of options for this because I can castrate them but this is -25 mood and basically just chopping off their parts. And the birth control pills are too expensive for right now. I'd rather have a surgery like neutering more akin to a vasectomy, which is reversible.
Steve May 10, 2021 @ 7:58pm
Could an option be added to this to "Neuter all" or something? I have so many animals right now it's a real challenge flicking through them one by one trying to remember who is and isn't. Doing it by group would be super handy, good lord I don't need more boomalopes!

@Syrchalis
Thank you for add Abort Pregnancy menu.
So, I update the Japanese translation for this mod. So I sent Pull request from GitHub. Please confirm and merge. Thank you.
Syrchalis  [author] Apr 3, 2021 @ 8:47pm
Probably can add abortions... as weird as it sounds.
fatburner Feb 1, 2021 @ 1:18pm
if they got pregnant before getting neutered they are still pregnant. it doesent show up right away if a animal is pregnant
britughnee Jan 25, 2021 @ 11:52pm
all my neutered females still get pregnant
SURA Jan 17, 2021 @ 3:05am
Can there be a sign for neutered animals? Making that you can identify neutered animals right away in animals tab.
Intrspace Dec 30, 2020 @ 10:39am
It would be great if neutered bulls would become pack animals.
Oxen are probably the most typical draft animals in real life
Nonan Dec 4, 2020 @ 11:33am
abortions is where its at
Commander Lulz Oct 9, 2020 @ 11:31pm
Please add abortions as a feature, if you can.
SalmonToastie Sep 23, 2020 @ 4:36am
@Syrchalis If its too much dw about it imo. The mod does its job perfectly and that's all that matters.
Syrchalis  [author] Sep 23, 2020 @ 3:51am
I can probably fix this - when I get to it that is.
SalmonToastie Sep 22, 2020 @ 11:24pm
@somr be normal and don't exploit it then.
fatburner Sep 19, 2020 @ 12:19pm
Warning: This can be exploited. You can neuter the same animal over and over and get thousands of skillpoints in medical
FirstAidKitHere Aug 12, 2020 @ 7:32am
it solved when i put this mod before giddy up and all animal mods
