hey guys, i have a problem with the Exile UI. Whenever Exile is loaded, my action menu together with notifications and other info are VERY small to read.

i must say that my setup is connected to a 65'' TV instead of a normal monitor which might have somethinbg to do with it.

it seems like the resolution of the notifications and action menu are stuck on ''monitor mode''

if anyone has a resolution for this i would be very grateful!

because its something like epoch but (many say) better and a bit easier

Exile is a sandbox mod with very very many possebilities to design your server
Just the own knowledge/time is only limit

You can host future based high military PVE/PVP server
Survial server dayz like or without the dayz feeling...
Or just normal sandbox server PVP/PVE
But there are much trash server available too because its not so easy and need much time to make it awesome

I was wondering which mod was changing the loading screen to some random s* although I've never installed a mod to change that. Also the description is not a description, it doesn't really tell anything about what the mod is doing so you either have to join their discord or install the mod..

Hosting an Exile server is not hard at all. Just need a little patience. Exile has a Discord that is incredibly helpful.

you just can not easy host this on clients
you NEED the (external) server with Database

Then you really should inform yourself before you write something here!!

You need mysql/ mariaDB Database and exileserver filles for running exile
and some other needed filles to run exileservers like vcredist,
Arma3 exile is no plug and play...

Granted, I never tried to host an Exile in any way, so there could be a total lack of graphical configuration like the Antistasi mods do.

never saw a multiplayer menue inside of my exile server
if you want something changed you have to change that stuff inside of the scripts/ source code

im dealing with this stuff since more then 9 years now so dont say me whats hard and whats not hard...
for someone who never hosted any servers its hard
the most already has trouble to set up a vanilla exile server on there local machine...
hand he have to ask hisself if he want to invest a lot of time for playing alone...

Hosting from the multiplayer menu ain't THAT hard. You'll need to configure shit for many things anyway, so it ain't exactly a huge biggie.

sure you can host a server locally but its much work and time and some knowledge needed for setting up a server and add some basic stuff
so overall i cant reccommand this, maybe just if you have to much freetime
but if you hope you can install and play within 1 day its better for you you dont try it

Is no so easy best is to join there discord there is a installtion instruction linked
but you should know that you need at least around 100h work time to get this running and until you understand how it works
and if you hanbled this then it takes just many further monthes to get your server working with AAI /Mission and so one that it makes fun for you

Best is to join an empty server and just play, trust me i dealing with this shit since 2015^^

but make sure you want to invest the time, you will just need a lot of time to understand and set up a exile server
You learning new stuff over some years. You should be ready to invest some 1000h into your server or minumum some hundreds of hours.
If you think its plug and play you just totaly wrong....

Exile is a Survival Mod - You drop into the world with most times an orange jumpsuit, a pistol if you are lucky, a bottle of water and an MRE. Your job is survive, loot building, gear up, make money. Depends on the Server.

@twitch.tv/blazer_135 -- You need the mod, you need the Server Side Addons as well. Then configure the Server Side Addons to match the Map (Altis and there are three others). You will need a server with SQL / Database access (to store information from the Exile Server, like your gear, position of the player. Best bet, rent a server a lot of them have Full Mod access with just one click of a mouse button.

I am pretty sure they stop deving this mod and are NOT going to update it to support many of amazing maps the Arma3 Community has published.

multiplayer sandbox surival mod with basebuilding, could be pve or pvp depends on server settings
could be dayZ like or normal War against player and AI, there are many possibilities.... depends all on server settings
but for pvp there are just a few servers with players, but i just reccomand pvp if you want or can play dayly with a group because your baase couuld be raided into night or while you at work and all you stuff get stolen by other players lol

u can use a exile.altis file and just change/add a new trader city, traders, mapmarkers and loot spawn positions

Has anyone else come across any of these issues below?

Drones and rearming them? Once they've spent all their munitions and come back, rearming at my trucks, they lose their AI functionality.

IE. They won't take off again, and won't respond to UAV commands. Manual controls work fine. I have tried with all drones, before and after server resets, checked integrity of files, install-cycled, and even unsubscribed from every workshop items, subscribing only to the ones needed for the servers I've tried this on.

I also note that, when buying my drones, I have t lock them, then hack them again, in order to use connect them to my UAV terminal.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Just use the exile discord
it need 10 secounds to find that with google dont know what for a problem you have...

and setting up your server or generally deal with exile mod is learning by doing, we can just give some tipps...
