@xChris0maticx You can. That's what I've done. Just search the thought defs for coffeevstea and get rid of that one. everything else still works great.

Ok so I think the forked version of Prepare Carefully might have corrupted caffeine dependency genetic trait. I switched to the OG version and its better (you can mess with health statuses without dependency trait being corrupted) but I didn't try caffeine dependency again.

So I chose caffeine dependency as a genetic trait at the start of my colony, but even if I have my colonists chug coffee like no tomorrow they aren't losing the deficiency trait. I'm guessing this tea and coffee doesn't interact with whatever mod which enables that. I'm slightly confused as to which mod made it possible to choose it as a dependency in the first place tbh.

@Schadenfreude I believe if you allow both recreationally in the drug settings, pawns will choose the one that makes them happy on their own.

But I think a stat in the character page or something like that would be a good idea. I want my main character to be a tea drinker and restarting the game when he turns out to be a filthy bean-fiend is always a huge bother.

I love the mod, but the only way to figure out which colonist to give coffee/tea to, is to either labouriously study the relationships tab, through a process of elimination (noticing who is a "fellow- " and who is a "coffee vs tea drinker"), or force feed every single one coffee and tea to later observe the mood table.

Souring an otherwise incredible experience.

Is there an option to add some kind of bulk brewing? I.e. more than 4 coffee cups at a time?
For larger colonies, it takes considerable amount of time to keep everybody happy with their bewerages...

Just chiming in to show some love. I didn't want to do a big brew mod, I just wanted tea (coffee is good too). So, thank you for updating it to 1.4 :)

the thing that stops me from keeping the mod in my game is that they decide who's a coffee or tea drinker and they gain negative relationships because of it.

Would prefer that was off because other drugs don't have that. Would love to assign coffee to my soldiers or tea to my researchers without their preferences getting in the way

@Syrchalis absolutely love this mod. This was my first rimworld mod (that actually added something not just ui or info) that got me started down that amazing rabbit hole of fully modded up rimworld... many hours ago

i only stay 'subscribed' for a second and then make a local copy, but keep it favorited so your stats may be lower.

thanks for the update and the many other excellent rimworld mods you put together (other favorites: glowing healroot, neuter, doormats, Set Up Camp, :espresso: )

I actually kinda prefer this quite a bit over stuff like the big brewing mods.
Yeah sure, it is nice to have all those elaborate mechanics and crap, but often times it seems too much and a bit too overwhelming. I very often don't even make any of the beverages.

This mod on the other hand is very simple, straight up, compact.
It's simplicity and lightweight, straight to the point content is it's greatest strength, and I run it a fair bit of the time as such. Happy that it got updated! Cheerio.:slimetabby:

Hello ! I'm trying to find a replacement for the "wake-up" from the original game. I used it in emergencies. Let's say after a long fight with a mechanoid raid, you need to cure a lot of people and quickly. Blood and pain everywhere. And the doctors is tired, wants to eat, and in general the little injured, and is about to go into a mental break. Quickly drugged, and let's bandage the needy.
Since version 1.1 or 1.2, wake-up has a 2% chance of causing addiction. There is no longer a safe use interval.
Can your coffee mod give an instant boost of rest and a bit of work speed?

In the XML file very easily. Also a bunch of mods allow you to change values like that in-game.

Is it possible to reduce the market price of the items? Market value is set at about $15 apiece.

Hi good mod except it's absurd that high life from Ideology is satisfied by drinking cups of tea or coffee, don't you think? The buffs are already very powerful but this makes it way over the top.

Is it just me or coffee won't restore rest? it gives the mood bonus alright but my 30% rest bar stays at 30% after that coffee o.O

@Schadenfreude There is no way to tell in advance, like from the character creation screen. It's generated with some bit-magic from the pawn's unique id. I wish there was an Individuality setting or Ideology precept that could override it though...

Regarding the drug-policies you can just allow both. The pawns will not refuse to drink if you manually tell them, but they will choose automatically which one they prefer.

No, its in the drug policies and they will drink it themselves. If you added it to an existing game you should use the button I added in the settings to add the policies.
