You know, you didn't have to be rude. How was I supposed to know that there was a removed comment. Unlike gamefaqs, there's no message that tells you if there was a deleted comment.

Why not? What's wrong with turrets?

And let's see what I can think of: cubes that redirect lasers, bombs, pushing the gel flow, spheres,... boy I'm really short on ideas here.

Very interesting, thumbs up! I had trouble with the "use cube to float" part, but eventually got up onto the ledge. I'd be interested to read anything you want to disclose about how you did this (obviously, using Hammer). In my chamber (see below), which I am improving with Hammer, there is a point where I want to push the player backwards, but I can't figure out how to do it, if it is possible.

My escape-themed chamber, "The Oubliette", is large and quite difficult, with deadly traps:
