The shock cannons don't shoot any energy beams sadly and I don't know why

@✪NovaExplosion! It should, just don't expect any support for any issues you might encounter. Will be remaking this eventually, for weaponcore or whatever system it is that is currently replacing it.

Great as my main gun turret system makes use of it and is the only shock cannon mod that currently works. Please leave the shooting audio, it's purfict.

@bsimp14 Yes, absolutely. Now that I've learned the basics of weaponcore via remaking the Type-94, expect an eventual remake of this as well.

when i put the mod in my list then start a world it wont show me the gun/cannon in my list like it does not work :c

I wouldn't make a turret but probably a fixed weapon such as the one you see here, I have had a few ideas for model possibilites and I feel making it fixed allows for more possibilites and makes for better creations and more creativity. I might make a turreted version of those, but I think fixed is better to balance cause, more power, but it takes actual effort to put into designs.

So in short: I'll make a fixed version of those barreless weapons first, I might make a turreted version down the line.

If you dont mind, asking again, in the future would you consider a rocket turret based on the standard barreless ''laser'' designs we see in many human and gamilas ships, i tried making a model from a detailed blueprint i made but it looks awful lol, just a suggestion.

I will make a big grid weapon SIMILAR to this, but no this itself, reason being is the sizing is all off and the model would look wierd, also its encouraged to make your own turrets/mounted weapons using this mod

Thanks for your understanding, this mod has been a learning tool for me and shouldn't be considered to be he meet all end all for shock cannons, is just the basic variant with more to come. If I do a missile base or not, I find this base better for getting that damage effect on enemy ships, and its probably the base I will use on a theoretical wave motion gun mod

I understand you have no time for that, it is indeed quite a complex concept, i think a weapon that could fire beams similar to that would be very nice, much more interesting than the common bolt, or the alredy existing very weak beam mods.. about the texture maybe its something to do with my modlist lol

On the topic of the model, I might rework the model, or make a version with a different model, but the reason the model is like this is due how accurate I wanted it to be towards the reference material. Anyways, thanks for the feedback, it has been taken into account, and when I get back from my schoolwork induced 3 week hiatus, I'll try to make a variant of this with some improvements (I still don't know about the missile base idea, for that it would probably be easier to make a script that makes the bullets move with the turret's orientation to make it like a laser pointer [just like its seen at the battle of Balun.])

@Schwarz There is DX11 support, if you can't tell by the images that have a planet and this mod in it xd. All fun and games aside, yes there is DX11 support, and I haven't checked for DX9, so I don't know your issue. And yeah, it fires fast enough to replicate the effect, I do like your idea for the missile base, but I don't know how to make it work like that without intense work that I frankly don't have the time for, maybe in the future I'll attempt another version with a missile base, but this was just a modified variant of my Type-94 mod.

It has no textures for me, i guess theres no DX11 support? also the gun is very cool but doesnt function as i expected ( like how it does on the show ), it could use a slighty more space engineers-ish model as well, i believe you make it fire so fast and so many rounds to replicate the beam effect? i was thinking wether it was possible to make that same effect but make the beam itself work as a missile, only the missile is a energy bolt and the smoke is a fading energy effect to give it a beam feel, that also allows it to make curves as it has been seen on the show.

@LordBrocktree4 Well, you should be able to spawn the ammo with space master, but the gun has no conveyor ports, so you cant put it in the gun, though a port at the rear is planned so dont worry. Its just not in yet

@Eluesia It depends. If the world is in creative, it won't matter. But if its a survival world, and you are in "spacemaster" creative admin tools mode, it wont work, as its basing the world in survival, and you would need conveyors and ammo. Atm there is ammo, though you cannont manufacture it and there are no conveyor ports. This will change later down the line, but for now the gun is remaining creative only. Expect a survival ready update after my next few mods (I got 3 in the works atm.)

Rate of fire is high due so you can get that shock cannon beam going, ideally, you want to hold down fire until you have to reload, then its similar size and look to a shock cannon

Rate of fire feels a bit high on this version. That being said, the visual effect is quire nice.

@Dramaro, Its fairly hard to explain in one go, but Its basically the MART Script, rotors, and armoring, along with making the rotor go from large grid to small. If you really need help, check online, there are plenty of tutorials, along with some communities such as SETB and SENB. They can help you as well.
