Yeah I'm having that issue too. Also, I would like to know how to rebind the controls. My mouse is the kind with the keypad on the side and I usually have 5 and 8 as melee and grenades.

Mine seems to not be playing any boss tracks when fighting the Matriarch. Anyone else have this problem?

so i was able to fix access denied problem by changing in run.bat in notepad the line
start "" "%~dp0System\chp.exe" "%~dp0System\ffplay.exe" "%~dp0%trackName%" -autoexit -window_title KF2CustomMusic -nodisp
to
start "" /MIN "%~dp0System\ffplay.exe" "%~dp0%trackName%" -autoexit -window_title KF2CustomMusic -nodisp

I've done everything step by step. None of this works.
All run.bat does is detect a selected mode and flash "access denied" non stop.

game not responding, i think you need to update the version maybe?

I hate to ask but could you make a video that teaches you how to install it?

@UHC yeah found the issue is music doesn't play on first main menu it only starts playing after selecting game type.

And it says the same song won't play twice but it does. I still haven't heard a majority of the tracks I added, only a handful that seem to repeat. Wish there was a button to skip tracks.

Ok so, I managed to get the app itself working. Not getting a chp.exe problem any more. But now I seem to have a new problem, there's no sound.

It might be, how can I fix this?

Could be an AV blocking it? Since it does look at the .exe it could be being blocked by that.

That didn't work...

What seemed to happen is it HAD a chp.exe file. But then it said "failed to execute command" and after that it just deletes itself.

Could be two reasons:

1. The download partially failed, leaving an incomplete addon. Try downloading it again, by un and re-subscribing after deleting it from your drive.

2. Try moving the addon to somewhere else, such as the root of your drive. Windows has a character limit on storage locations, and the path to it counts towards it too.

So I got a new computer and I have a problem, I get an error message that says.

"Windows cannot find D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\232090\1440122015\KF2Custom.../chp.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again"

I have no idea what any of this means.

Gave it another try and still receiving the same "Access is denied". It could just be because of the seasonal event, or it could just be my computer. Would be so much easier had they allowed for a custom music folder/setting. I am not sure what I can do, so I will stick to KF2 standard music or just use a playlist. But I will keep an eye on this if there is ever a fix.

Its probably just due to the .bat reading the game state from the exe. Nothing to worry about,

When it tries to play a song in menu or game, I see in its prompt console that it is reading the game but it is being denied access.

To those who have not seen it, i have uploaded a new run.bat file that restores volume control to the numpad as it used to be. Check the addon discussions.

To my knowledge the volume controls dont even work.

Does the author provide custom key binds for the music player? I don't want the controls set to numpad

Anyone who's having issues with music, try adding these lines to Main menu.txt in the Database folder inside the addon's system folder:

the "wave" text is stuck on the screen and everytime the game changes waves the music does not change.
i hope theres a solution for this bug.

The main of cause of the bug is Probably the halloween update

When the Halloween event's over, the menu music will work again.

It does still work, but whenever there is an event the menu music does not work. Rounds, Bosses and Traders still work.

That's not an issue caused by this mod.

When I tried using this, the music itself was playing just fine, but all my perks are set to 0 and I can get maps to load but the ready button doesn't function correctly. It changes color when I click it but the match won't start.

Okay, it's just the main menu/ The rest of the music plays fine.

I have been loving this mod so far, but ever since the Perilous Plunder update it does not play anything, what should I do?
