Yes, mute the wallpaper and play your own tracks. ^^

That's how audio responsive wallpapers work, they record your Windows sound output and certain parts react to the different frequencies. The only thing you need to do is to go to the Wallpaper Engine settings and set the wallpapers to mute as soon as any other source is playing a sound.

Yeah, I try to do something different in every new wallpaper I create, do something that challenge peoples hardware because hey, if I want my GPU to idle I'd be watching still images on my desktop.

The music in this wallpaper is from the official DOOM soundtrack. If you mean the overall style of the tracks I would say the genre "djent" would fit pretty good here. This mix of industrial, metal and some dub step like elements is just straight into peoples faces, I like it.

I just bought the DOOM Eternal soundtrack. I did't own the game because of too much other things to do but ♥♥♥♥, man...this is pure evil dripping out of my speakers right now. Unbelievable. Guess it is finally time to once again get some bloody fluid simulations and other 3D stuff ready to give DOOM Eternal the proper wallpaper treatment it deserves.

I'm impressed to the max to be honest. Didn't thought Mick Gordon could've toped the soundtrack for the 2016 DOOM. Insane. ^^

Just set WPE to mute wallpapers when your own music is playing and play the Eternal OST...there you have it: your personal DOOM wallpaper that reacts to your soundtrack.

Mmmh...I did not change anything in this wallpaper in a very long time. Weird that your rig suddenly struggles to run the wallpaper.

A raise in fan speed and temperature is indeed normal when using this wallpaper because of 4k and lots of shine fx and image sequences. That drives your GPU up the fooking wall.

Really liked this wallpaper but it actually destroys my computer now trying to use it. It didn't the months I had it which is weird. I'll favorite this and hope I see something like it soon.

I have so many ideas for wallpapers and sadly, as often, not enough time to convert all the ideas into something downloadable.

@MrMCafee: Yeah, that's because the wallpaper contains a lot of 4k image sequences for the blood that's coming out of the DOOM letters. These take a lot of VRAM indeed but sadly there is not much i can do about. I could remove the blood animations but that would degrade this unique wallpaper into some "normal" wallpaper. That's not how i wanted my DOOM wallpaper to look. Sorry.

What i can offer you, if you're having trouble running the wallpaper, is to setup a customization for the image sequences so you can disable them in case your GPU struggles to run the complete wallpaper.

i Love this wallpaper , only have one issue , for some reason its using all of my Vram?
any ideas how i could fix this , i recently formatted my PC and it seems to still draw all my Vram.

Back then when i started to create this wallpaper i watched a lot of other DOOM related wallpapers but it felt always like there is something missing. Like a solid level of brutality.

I experimented with a lot of animations until i ended up with the blood and really liked it and as it turned out a lot of DOOM seems to agree with me on that.

Ok seriously, this is one of the best if not THE best wallpaper I've seen. The animations are so good looking (especially at 144 fps). The audio visualiser effects are not comparable from what you have seen before, there is a whole new set of effects (and God does it looks good with the actual game soundtrack playing).

So please, if you see this wallpaper do yourself a favor and download it ! NOW !

Beware though because because it can really melt your computer (my 2070 super is at 99% usage at 144 fps)

Don´t know exactly. Maybe the FPS limit is set in your WE settings or some other application using your CPU and / or GPU. This wallpaper contains heavy 4k image sequences and these require a certain amount of CPU and GPU power to run smoothly.

I really cannot say why because i have no access to a mobile nvidia GPU so i cannot test it on similar hardware. The smallest card i have access to is an older AMD 280x gpu and there it runs smooth. Sorry for not having a better answer.

It just have about 10fps on my laptop, and this is GTX1060 and i7-8750.
How can it be like this?

May i ask on what GPU you´re running the wallpaper? Back then i tested it on all machines i had access to but none of them slowed down the frame rate to 5-10 fps.

Hey, sorry to here that but i´m afraid there is not much i can do about it. Several effects and the fact that it is in 4k let it run not that good on average hardware like notebooks with integrated GPUs.

How do I make this not slow my computer down to 5 frames per second?

You cannot change the music. It´s integrated in the wallpaper. What you can do is play your own tunes and mute the wallpaper. Then the audio response will go with your music.
