Can't you create a clean texture support? Instead of the normal terrain, the terrain from that mod appears?

this mod by itself with the DLC adds anywhere from 25k-70k to your colony building wealth.

Perhaps you could have dirt bags for the dirt variants, or have them unlocked through the research tree?

what mods are you using it with its not caused any crashed for a very long time

i very much doubt alpha biomes will ever work with this its heavy on alterations cant say its one ive tried to use

2nd alpha biomes patch...

I tried copy/pasting the forsaken sand defs into this mods defs and adding the buldable elements, but didnt seem to work... guess I'm not cut out for rimworld modding ;P

Would you consider adding rock walls, not just floors? When building underground I'd love to replace mined metal deposits with rock I can smooth so all walls look nice and uniform.

I use mod that used to be like this called scars basic farming and he fixed their problem, u might be able to ask him how they fix it :steamhappy:

aira it seems to give you a higher starting value to all land rather than just home area once the value is set you cant remove it its a strange one it doesnt really effect early raids and such but you will see them get large faster than normal its not really much of a bother unless you like small villages and moving around alot
i would agree with cows it does seem that terrain becomes player owned as its built so it gives it some value it wont let me set a value to try and stop it getting high

Hard to say what causes the wealth to spike up unless the code is decompiled and publicly visible... If I have to guess, the issue is that terrain squares are treated as buildable items with a wealth value assigned to them.

For me right now, I mitigate the wealth issue with "WealthCorrector" by 竹子菌

1.5 checked and updated cant see anything thats changed usual issues seem to be there still wealth shoots up and will act up with any mod that alters terrain

My terrain has build cost in the form of soil (rich soil requires rich soil and time). Is this normal or is it a mod conflict the only one I think could be doing it is soil relocation framework.

ok found my problem. pawns will only plant in the water if unroofed. i used to have indoor gardens in 1.3 my bad dude it wasnt your mod.

pawns dont plant water plants from "Vanilla Plants Expanded - More Plants" in the water from this mod in 1.4, back in 1.3 it worked fine.

can i suggest a recommendation for a mod called (Threat Point Cap) in the description if people complain about terrain sky rocketing colony value so people can change there well Threat Point if that's something they might want.

this one used to add terrain as a floor its made people dependant on it which we didnt want so it was changed so its a direct replacement and it can be turned off given how cheaty this mod is it was the preferred option it wasnt till later we noticed land value spikes doesnt seem theres a way to fix without a major code change thats beyond me

if i could get this to run as a patch any compatibility problems would stop which is even more annyoing

medieval overhaul adds some build-able posts for growing tomatoes and grapes but can only be built on stony soil, witch kinda just sucks ass to be honest as you have to have a hole bunch of janky ass placements for some grapes and tomatoes witch makes no sense at all plus ruins base design to a small degree. there is another mod that i found that adds the 3 main soil types but does it in a way that does not sky rocket the maps wealth (not a problem for me i use a mod that locks my difficulty at where i want it) but there mod does not replace soil just adds the soil as tile overlay like carpet or wooden floor so MO jank ass posts cant be built on it so looks like ill be giving this a go after all

ive not tried it im told that mod alters terrain aswell so was causing problems awhile ago give it ago see how it behaves you might be able to do what you want and turn this one off or try them in different load orders

cant say i remember it must have been set like that for ages tbh i had to look twice now youve said it think i play in space too much to notice anymore it was proberbly set like that for adding research options and balancing that never got finished that and 140 doesnt really speed up growth much

The mod changes the fertility of the rick soil from 140 to 200. Is it an intended behavior? Bc it doesnt say that in the mod description

thats how this used to work but it was switched to make it easier to turn on/off so it was abit more openly compatible when updates were common was the better route its not hard to live with wealth jumping up think i might update the older one so people can pick

There is actually an easy fix, but it does make the mod unable to be removed. Make a copy of each natural terrain type, then make those buildable, but leave the original terrains untouched, and unbuildable. If you can build it, the game automatically calculates a wealth value based on the cost of resources used and the work required to build it. I once tried making my own mod of this kind, and came across this exact issue.

mod is working on 1.4 just updating version numbers and such
accidentally building under junk or hills no longer crashes and wealth isnt shooting up as bad anymore wohoo

Aww. I'll miss this mod. But with ever growing incompatibility/bugs this is kinda sad. Thanks sisco for your work though. Can't complain about a free mod :)
