@BornToBePlayer Hi there. Each Chaos form skill tooltip states "deals X physical damage as chaos damage". The reason for this is, there is an issue with chaos damage values in tooltips, meaning it says the skill does less damage than anticipated. To rectify this, I've had the tooltips state" X physical damage as chaos damage" so that the damage numbers are correct.

Regarding Retreat Into Shadow this is clearly not working as intended then. I'll take a look for the DE release. Thanks!

@Lyrinix Hey. I'd wait until the release of DE before trying this mod (only 2 days to go woohoo!). As I was fortunate enough to be invited as a beta tester for the new game, my mods have already been converted to work with the new edition too! Game saves will be incompatible between versions of the game. Thanks

@Lrinix I was going to try the mod myself, as Odin makes great stuff, but the DE release is going to be a completely new game in the listing. Saves apparently won't be transferring as the last half of the game is getting a complete rework.

Ok: Chaos Dmg skills says that they are based on physical dmg but they are magical. That's confusing man. Retreato Into Shadow, it's a Chaos Skill and it doesn't work. It should just give double armor for undead but it still doesn't work. Just used it and receved nothing. I was not full on armor. Full magic armor, none pyshycal and it didn't worked. It's cause the magic armor was full? That should be written in the skill cause if not i think that i can still recieve the bonuses from the skill ^_^

@TwoMoons Hmmm... not sure on that one, have you tried removing and then re-adding all of the mods? Could be a mismatch of versions between you and your friend.

@Joyishi Sort of having a break from creating new classes at the moment to focus on my class&overhaul packs (such as Pyrokinetic Reignited). May take a look at a Spear-based class at some point though, so I'll drop you a message at some point if you wanted to give any suggestions?

Hi Odinblade. I love this mod but a friend an I seem to be having issues with it. We started a playthrough and all was well until we tried to load up the next day. Now he can no longer connect to my game (we trouble shot turning off most mods until we got a successful connect, and only turning Umbra back on is causing the issue).

Found a new expanded party sizemod on Nexus that's updated called expanded party size updated which works with this mod so far can grab exact name later loving the new classes great work

hello im looking forward to trying your class mods most all of my mods are also on your mod collection except expanded party size so im thinking its causing an issue giving the unable to create a working story which is unfortunate cause my girlfriend and myself are looking to get back into the game and like having the increase in party size and monster scaling,just seeing if you had any ideas on this,i imagine ill just have to enable one at a time til i get it right lol thanks for the great mods:)

@IconianCat Hey there! To echo what @BloodborneJudas rightly said, Chaos damage is basically random damage, including all elements and physical damage too (but unlikely to land on this damage type). The reason why the damage is slightly less is that enemies have elemental resistances, but no physical resistances.

From what I can tell, Larian is remedying this in the Definitive Edition of the game (out in ~2 weeks) so this should be less of an issue with Umbra.

IconianCat - Chaos damage is a random elemental damage. Very good against targets with just one or two element resistances.

hey so.. playing the class rn in a solo tactician mode playthrough (i know i know this is meant to be an assassin within a group comp) but i enjoy fast and hard hitting classes as a solo game. and i noticed, the chaos damage type is CONSIDERABLY lower damage than physical and ive noticed it seems to be applyiong damage types at random... like occasionally i get brown numbers for geomancer damage and sometimes i get blue and red for water and fire. is the chaos damage trype a combination of ALL the other types? or is this a bug?

@Mimzie Hey! What @Stephably said seems to be the case. It's also worth noting that Swords scale off of Strength, whereas Daggers scale off of Finesse. Generally, splitting weapon damage types may cause some inefficiencies in terms of damage, so personally, I would recommend using just daggers in this case. @Mimzie Aha! After a little quick search offhand does matter; you should actually put your backstabbing weapon in your main hand because offhand weapons can't backstab. Also, it's recommended that you put the stronger weapon in your main hand, but if you're planning on using sword + dagger, I suppose you should decide to prioritize one over the other. (I'm so sorry if this information is wrong, quick searches be quick ;w;)

Heyy guys, noob question here: Can anyone explain how to properly use off-hand weapons as the umbra? i dont understand how relevant the back stab feat of a weapon is while they are equipped in the off hand and want to know if its better to have a higher damaging weapon like a sword in my off hand

wow u are quick to answer. but i realised that im just rly stupid. Umbra character had equipped a dagger that had 15% chance to cause this aura. Thats why i thought that there is something wrong with your class. Sorry to bother u, your mod is great and have a good night ;)

@Odinblade Alrighty, thank you so much for the quick reply! >w> ;; I totally just skipped over respecializing Sebille though; having her as a Rogue and then just grabbing the skill books from the crate remedies the problem pretty nicely.

As for the Collar thing, I'll try testing it out later-ish? I kinda made this all physical playthrough to take a break from my all magic run because I'm truly garbage :'^) But anyways, I'll let you know once I test it (just so you know though, I did see that the Source-Muted status while having the collar off was completely gone as well oof).

@Stephably Hey there! Regarding the inventory issue, this is a caveat of applying the class preset - I do warn users about this in the description above ^ however, this has highlighted to me that I could make this clearer.

About the Source Collar issue, it's (hopefully) just a visual bug. If/when you get to a stage in the game where you would normally lose the collar, could you let me know if NPCs still treat Sebille like she is collared, please? If this is the case, I should be able to code in a fix. Thanks for flagging this to me! :steamhappy:

Okay, really strange things going on ;w; So I'm really hyped to try this class out, but things get weird when I try respecializing Sebille into the Umbra class. One, my own character gets respecialized as well, and my inventory is reset too. Two, strangely enough, my character's Source Collar disappears but when walking in front of Magisters and talking to them, it's as if nothing has changed.

I guess I'm alright with just not respecializing (already have Sebille set as a Rogue anyways -- base stats are pretty accurate, right? -- and I can use the mirror that allows you to change your points on the ship later), but I'd just like to bring this stuff up ;u;

I have a feeling that the problem is my using of the Resonator class mod on my character; I haven't applied any of Helaene's classes on my other party members (I'm planning to be garbage and running a full physical damage group with new class mods), so I'm unsure if it's just this mod or other mods in general that's causing this.

Sorry to be sort of spammy but I just wanted to let you know that this is my favorite class in any RPG ever. I've always said that no game captures an Assassin like class the way I would like it. But you seem to have done just that. I think assassins should be adaptable and strike quickly only to disperse into the shadows again, darting around the field. And that's exactly how this class is, so Kudos to your amazing class. Love it :)

@odinblade, Only some of my skills appear to be switching when I swap stances. I'm not sure if there are any mod conflicts but it seems weird that it would only affect a few of the skils. Right now the ones that aren't working are veiled assault and nerve slash.
