Tripwire needs to have a Classic mode that has no robots (or special zeds because I don't think much of goreshanks or q-pounders) but likewise, I am the only person that wants the opposite of this mod. I want to fight exclusively robots, so I can become a master of kiting them.

Кажется я понял почему нет смысла сабмитить этот мод. Почитав комментарии сообщества и ощутив на собственной шкуре "ЧТО ДЕЛАЮТ С ИГРОЙ ТРИПТВАРИ" мне становится понятно почему авторы таких модов как CD просто положили хуй на свои творения и все удалили, не хочется стараться для игры авторы которой портят её с каждым обновлением, все ломают, а эстетически не просто обсирают игру, а буквально ебут бедный кф2 в рот...

братан, сабмитни свой мутатор на рассмотрение для вайт листа, я ваще не имею желания играть в кф2 с этими роботами, и получается либо играй без прокачки с двумя людьми на серве, либо терпи роботов... в идеале просто вырубить этих роботов и как раньше собирать по 20-30 человек на серве, где все наслаждаются игрой без вонючих п.ЕДАР.ов.

Wasen't even talking to you, but just like every other entitled mlp fan you manage to throw yourself at every converstation as if you're actualy the center. I was also stating that I could care less if my opinions hurt others feelings purly in regards to someone else's comments. I could care less about the apperance aswell, was not apart of that conversation either and the only fuck I give is that trappers get the balancing they deserve as to my actual statement.

Also that tangent in the start was just terrible, only furthers my point about the unstable affliction to a childrens cartoon..

I ment they have perks that doesn't rely on headshots, not whole class, even Zerk is headshot based ofc, specially with sawblade launcher.
Same to gunslinger.
Skilled player can easily shoot heads and then shoot body, i won't call skill the ability to aim on single point and not moving mouse.
bodyshot/legshot is not skill, if your class/enemy is wrong for certain task.

WHAT?! Are you seriously saying that Gunslinger and SWAT don't rely on headshots? I'm not sure there is a point in discussing this further.

What I said was not a paradox, I've clearly outlined the reasons why EDARs are bad, why they punish the skilled part of KF 2 (headshots) and reward the unskilled part (bodyshot spam), and also why they don't fit into the existing ecosystem. These are the primary reasons why EDARs are disliked, not the adaptation part. And no, bodyshot/legshot spam =/= skill.

I agree with the fact that they won't fit on holdout maps specially close quarter ones.(biotics lab, catacomb, nightmare etc) unless they're gonna be revamped on how and when to use abilities/or how to prevent abilites etc.

Still:

Stun through walls is probably gonna be fixed, i don't think they made it for purpose.

About "headshot-oriented gameplay." mostly true, though there are perks and weapons which doesn't rely on headshots (Gunslinger perks, Swat,Demo partly, Whole firebug class)
Firebug for particular is best to deal with dars, because of Microwave,imo.

Paradox, you're talking about skill-based, so aren't that a skill to prioritize some targets and their weakpoints? sounds like an adapt problem,Imo.(for example husk and fleshpound also have non-head crit areas)

I'm not really sure to call'em trash units, they appear around same amounts/delays as husks/sirens do.(there may be misconseption what is trash and what is not + i haven't played HoE with them yet, on suicidal they don't give much trouble)

Overall thought: they need to be tweaked, but i'm up to see them in game.

Also, the fact that these robots have ranged attacks means that a lot of holdout spots the existing maps were designed with in mind will not be as effective on higher difficulties: the player is forced to hug a pillar or be in a crouching stance behind cover, and these elements are not always available. This goes against the concept of open lanes with long line of sight, which are supposed to be the most effective holdout areas. Not to mention that the ability of Trappers to immobilize through walls is some DayZ-level wall-noclipping bullshit. EDARS simply don't fit into existing ecosystem, neither by design (mechanics) nor aesthetically.

Not listening to the feedback on why EDARs are a fundamentally flawed concept before the Beta took place has already put the developers in an awkward situation. The mod is there to fix the mess they created. It has nothing to do with people being unable to adapt. Enemies which punish headshots and encourage bodyshots don't really belong to Killing Floor 2, which focuses (or, actually, used to focus) on skill-based, headshot-oriented gameplay. They're also trash enemies, which means that trash killing perks should be able to kill them quickly, with a few shots. Commando in particular should be able to easily get a Zed Time extension off a dead EDAR.

People forgot how to adapt, shame, that kind of mod may put developers in awkward situation.

(+ imo people complaining about the idea of robots in zed-game are fun, Who you call a fleshpound then? Literally a metal bastard with engine core in middle and meat grinder in each hand...sounds more robotic for me.)

I haven't tested their difficulty in Endless HoE, but i think they still deserve to exist for more dynamic gameplay.

Instead of refusing someone's work/feature, suggest your own idea.
because of community suggestions they already got little nerfed + trapper got way less range, and
I like the idea mentioned below about D.A.R bosses.

Of course, it's up to HUNTER to decide whether trying to whitelist the mutator is worth the effort, and I'm certainly not speaking for him, but the sole fact that EDARs were added to the game at official level is already a huge deal breaker, not to mention that out of all numerous mutators available only 3 are whitelisted [tripwireinteractive.atlassian.net].

P. S. The comment section really needs a cleanup. Several pages of still ongoing insult fests will bury the actually useful information.

@WagFeliz I'm afraid this is not going to happen. Killing Floor 2 Mutators take the server out of "ranked" mode by default. In order for the stats/XP to be enabled with the mutator running, it has to undergo the process of whitelisting.

In order to be considered whitelisted, the "mod/mutator must not alter the core game experience or cause unwanted changes to a clients perks or game environment if they joined a server running it" ( source - TWI official forums [forums.tripwireinteractive.com] ). When the Beta update makes it to the main branch, I'm afraid that the EDARs will be considered part of "core game experience" (how ironical, I know), and the mutator will not stand a chance of being whitelisted as a result.
