Nah bro I gotta say this mod is fun,but there should NOT be a possibility to have more than 1 of these idiots in one pod,specially during the Psionic Storm sitrep,like I literally got a pod of 3 of those,one stun'd,and the one RIGHT after could just run all the way and abduct,the hell was I supposed to do huh?

I had this mod for years and never a single abductor tried to stun, despite having a good angle. They ALWAYS go for mindspin.

Did not know it worked of the will check, just like mind control. Played with the mind shields on all frontline solders and though that abductor was somehow broken.

Update to Dec.5, 2022 post: After a number of months (IRL and in-game) I finally received a council mission to extract a VIP, who happened to be a soldier: my abducted soldier. After completion she was back in my roster AND with the gear that had been lost with her. So, that was it, in this instance: a council mission rather than a covert op location discovery. Phew!

I haven't played in a long time and just had a soldier abducted (forgot about the mod mechanic). Trouble is not so much the soldier but the unique Chosen weapon that was lost too. I haven't had a rescue mission pop up yet but I sure hope I can get that weapon back!

I love this mod, the tactical decisions that I have to make when these guys are on the field is really frustrating in such a "that's XCOM, baby" sort of way.

For anyone wondering, they *should* appear in a mission to be rescued, but I think we all know how this game can get with mods. I do recommend the Prison Break mod with this one, you're much more likely to have multiple soldiers get kidnapped now and it lets you jump a bunch of people out at once.

Question: Does this mod affect Covert Action Ambushes in any way? I've noticed that when I get an ambush I tend to get the "psionic portal opens" thing and an Abductor and two Troopers pop out the next turn instead of the usual transport dropping off various ADVENT goons. It's a nice change, so if it is from this mod, thank you.

They show up *really* early for an enemy that has an instant capture, and near guaranteed mind control. Really well made and cool otherwise, but gonna have to uninstall.

Brilliant mod. Really liked the concept so had to try it with my in progress LWOTC run. I had all but figured it wasn't working after a few weeks of game time had rolled along without an encounter but then got a SITREP: Sectoids Abducting. Everything function as described so far. Great work....

Why can this sectoid still abduct while disoriented? Disorientation is suppose to stop special abilites.

They are cute, until they somehow dash stun and abduct in one turn. Most of the time though it's zombies, Zombies, ZOMBIES!

Should you blindly charge at these guys and hope you can take them out before you have a squadmate abducted? No, absolutely not! Can these guys be beaten, even in larger pods? Heck yeah! This one enemy adds a whole new thrilling challenge to taking on Advent. If you know these guys are spawning you need to be cautious and treat every pod as a serious threat. Best part is, if you don't like a challenge they are their own separate mod that you are not required to download. A fantastic and challenging new threat! Thanks CreativeXenos y'all rock!

This mod is awful (for me), they will just take the piss by running across an entire battlefield to abduct someone. Not fun.
As in, in one round. They will knock someone out, run across the battlefield, and take them.
That's one team-member down and nothing you can really do about it.
God forbid they even cluster spawn too, so if one stuns, and you shoot two of them dead with overwatch, the forth will still steal your team-mate.

Sectoid Abductor!?I would remember it as the ALBINO SECTIOD alot more,Plus on this planet Albino animal are like rare.Alot of good that huge brain on it did when last Male sectoid it finds out you just killed the last remaining 2 females.

To clean your config and make sure everyting is fresh go to...
Document/My Games/XCOM2 War of the Chosen/XComGame/Config and delete that whole folder. The game will rebuild a fresh one on start up. But youll need to start your game to the main menu, exit back to desktop and restart. This should give you a clean Config and any old mod files/settings left over will be gone.

The thing is I always cleanse the files, everything else is fine really. My last mission had like 26-30 something, but this mission only had 8 and when I went in the first two pods encountered were lone Abductors.

But maybe I'm not cleansing right, I normally clear config, verify files, etc.

if youre not using the diverse pods at all, then there should be a very good chances you see full pods of these guys. Have you used either of the diverse mods at an point? If so, you may need to clean you config files as the diverse settings could still be there even tho you no longer have the mod.

thats not the fault of this mod. Are you playing with the original Pod Size increase by Forcelevel or the newer Diverse Pods with Forcelevel?

Even with Pod Size increasing with Forcelevel I'm only getting one single Abductor per pod. So awkwardly doing a mission with two mods but each pod only has one Abductor.

I try to make sure to always update with a log entry. This helps us all :)
