Ignore last comment, I figured it out.

1. add light switch to specific id
2. add all lights you want to control with that particular switch, to the same id
3. enable automatic daylight sensor
4. profit

I really respect the work done by the author. But something doesn't give me peace of mind. I'm playing locally and I'd like to remove a few engrams as they don't fit into the medieval setting of the mods I'm playing with. But no matter what I do, no matter how I edit Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini, nothing helps. I don't understand mods at all, so maybe I was doing something completely stupid.

I tried adding the lines to Game.ini:

I encountered some issues with this MOD and found a solution, so I wanted to report it.

I was playing on a non-dedicated server, and the MOD was working fine at that time.
Later, when I set up a Windows server to host a dedicated server, I encountered the following problems:
1.Engrams cannot be unlocked.
2.Structures created with this MOD on a non-dedicated server previously, and structures from other MODs loaded after this MOD, cannot be placed.

Upon comparing the Mods folder on the client side with that on the server side, I noticed that the server lacked the file "1380777369.mod," and the folder size for "1380777369" was different. Copying the MOD data from the client side to the server's Mods folder and removing the "-automanagedmods" to stop automatic updates resolved the issue.

It seems that the server's MOD auto-update feature applies incorrect data.

I've got the mod imported into the new DevKit already. There's a lot of broken stuff, but I plan to release this mod for ASA at some point. :smile:

Confirmed color change pistol is completely broken. Also, the fact there's no readme or instructions on how to use some of this is a big oversight. It's like some of these mods are made for other developers that already understand how the coding all works.

@Ciaran usually just above those lines in your GameUserSettings.ini you need to have a Bracket [ ] listed to get the code to recognize where those settings apply, in this case it should look like:


[AdditionalLighting]

DisableFuelUsage=False
UseElectricity=True
FuelConsumptionIntervalMult=1.0000

I should mention the "Dynamic" group of lights do attach to preexisting walls or any environment, but they are designed to attach to horizontal surfaces. The flame ones especially.

@reinerSCT Love the lighting options! I just fired up a new map for my group - Fjordur. There are a ton of preexisting structures on the map and I would like to attach wall lights from this mod to those walls, but it seems they need a crafted wall to attach. So far, the only light that seems to attach is the S+ Multilamp. Sticks to any surface. Any way to tweak something in an ini file that would allow your wall lamps to do the same?

Installed this on my private server, and can't get it to work. Players can't learn the engram for the AL Crafting Station, and I can't spawn it in via cheat codes. Nothing happens when you click on the engram. What do I do?

Used this on 2 servers this weeks and work like it should work. It has some issues with change intensity and range if you use "stables and ...." from Eco but only when placed in or on structures from that mod. on same server works fine with s+ etc. Also works on CFK.

I take it setting the handhelddurabilityconsumptionmult to -1 wont do the trick for disabling durability loss either then?
Figured i'd ask as thats the trick for GlidersPlus and I havent seen any mention of -1 being tried

Not all lights show up in the lighting table all the time. Sometimes they are there, sometimes not. The post Lantern, for me, can't make anymore because it is no longer listed.

@Gamerguy518 All the lights in this mod are cosmetic. I don't think anything provides any practical use beyond illumination and a little warmth from the fire-based lights. You might want to consider the Federation crop plot from Gen2 for what you're trying to do.

Hi, I cannot change the lights color. I cannot apply dyes directly, so I use a brush and it allows me to apply dye to region 6, but the color simply doesn't change. It's always the default warm color.

Is it something in the .ini I need to change in order to be able to dye light color? I only found option to change default color.

Also the color pistol don't do anything at all.

@Melcaara It uses the "Melee/Pistol Whip" hotkey. Maybe you've remapped the key to another one.

@Princess Detective Derpy Yes, there are blueprint paths, but i haven't written them down yet. This is one of the most annoying things to do and i couldn't find the motivation for it until now. You can find them out yourself if it's urgent. Haven't searched for it, but i'm positive that there're tutorials out there that cover this topic.

@Lier_Warriors This is sadly not possible.

@Dzieciszcze Check out the "Light Sequencer". It's a recently added structure and you might need to learn the engram first. You can do things like this with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMMuCjgj0RM

I wonder if there's an option to make certain lights flashing. I like to mark things with warning lights (cliff edges, zipline attach points, delivery crate landing zone etc.), but I can't find any option to do this with Additional Lighting, only with SS Multi Lamps, but they require power.

I just started using this mod, leftCtrl doesn't make handheld lights any brighter but the n button does change the color. What am I doing wrong?

Lots of nice little QoL improvements in this patch. Named switches? Woohoo! Firelights taking sparkpowder? Heck yeah. And dat sequencer... Gotta try that one out sometime. Incidentally, love the "dodo disco" video that was done as a sequencer demo.
