I remember Rimworld used to have a way to rename your settlement in the dev console but they seem to have removed it... for whatever reason.
Why would you remove abilities out of a dev console, the fuck.
Probably exists in the base game but since it doesn't bring this window up until the exact moment you have sufficient pawns and you cannot rename a colony after that point, it cannot get into such a state for it to matter, but with this mod, you could get yourself into this situation.
I was actually watching a dead colony play out after a wipe to see if someone shows up and was going to rename the colony to something for thematic reasons to reflect the people that used to live there.
finally i can finally name my faction as people meater and flavor town
