I made a map, but for some reason it keeps freezing at "loading History"
know how to fix this?

There is a maximum size for provinces, and my template has provinces very close to the limit, so merging them isn't an option.

And it keeps crashing every time, as well as creating a new definition file in the documents HoI 4 folder

Very confused, as I am trying to remove every province except for the first two, and create a new megaprovince, and I deleted everything necessary in the mod's definition file so only 3 definitions, province 0, province 1 (land), and province 2 (sea), exist.

Well no, it wouldn't be. Workshop mods are downloaded in a separate location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\394360
The folder you want is the ID of the mod (in the URL), in this case 1356703754.

I did download it it, but I don't get the files, just a .txt file which has the information, but not the files. I might be looking in the wrong folder though... But it isn't in my mods folder.

Well, you could download this mod (or whichever map size you like), copy the files over to your mod folder, and get started editing. It's the same as editing the vanilla map; the only difference is that deleting provinces is tricky, and this map has only a few giant provinces, compared to the vanilla map's ~13,000.

So, I want to create a mod with a custom world map, so how exactly do I use this mod to create a new map?
