If I were the mod author, I'd keep the 3rd tree and drop the others. But that's just my thoughts on the subject.

Another new game version update. People might not like this, but I'll be updating the mod AND remove stuff to make it much easier for myself to maintain the mod. This all can be read in the patch notes.

Yeah. The second was an overhaul to add more but keep concise and replace the original. Then Paradox started making huge trees and I followed with a new overhaul of everything that was lacking in both to replace both. I still have to cut out 1 or more as upholding 3 is a pain.

Can we get rid of the Ramadan events? In my current playthrough I've had it for the last 4 months, and it's causing me to lose an air war I should be winning. I know it should be cycling on and off, but this time in 1941 it just won't go away.

To be honest, it adds nothing to the game, and in a major war, only the most fanatic would insist on that sort of fasting.

They are part of the latest game version now and every country can use them. Albeit randomly generated by the game itself. Did you meant specific scientists tailored for countries?

Of course not. I've checked it and I don't know why it does this. I saw that everything even remotely connected to the spirit has no relation to Germany anywhere. So that makes the behavior very strange, awkward even. I changed something and that is: added more space in the country event code... which shouldn't matter, but newsflash; It. . . Does. . . ? I am clueless, but see no strange behavior now so I'll just roll out the update :steamfacepalm: BONKERS!

Playing the monarchy path. Just noticed Germany has the spirit 'House Vitatzes' and a claim on Greece. Is this intended?

Glad it dropped haha. My pc is showing age by shutting down unexpectedly during boot and it will take a while before I can update again. If anyone finds bugs, something unexpected or even the least of bugs not worth mentioning, share it and I'll collect them for a big update.

OTOH, The Vandals are not a country that is likely to be in a game unless it is player controlled - and a play could just ignore the generic Mios. It might make for a slightly untidy UI, but isn't strictly required for the mod to run.

Oh! The penny just dropped. Your point was to STOP generics appearing for the Vandals. That might indeed need the generic Mio file to be present.

If you look at this mod:

You will see that it has 4 Mios, noen of which have the 'include' statement. It doesn't appear to reference the generic mio file at all. The only thing to be aware of, is you will have to have each trait listed in you country Mio file.

Could you look into that? because if so and it would solve this issue, I would make those incremental changes if it means I can completely discard 00_generic_organizations.txt

A custom Mio doesn't have to remain generic. You can add traits, or, using trait override, modify traits. I think you can have completely custom Mio by excluding the 'include' statement.

As for the reliability bug, I only updated focused_aircraft one's from the core game. I might have to dive deeper into mio's if traits are being shared across mio's and contain that reliability_factor bug. I'm not too familiar with using overrride_trait. But yes, I am only concerned with mod mio's, the bug in generic mio's is a task for Paradox.

That is very true, but comes with that catch. A custom mio must remain generic without changes, like you mentioned, in order for the mio to replace its generic counterpart. It works the the same with design companies. But when you want to be more creative with your mio's in adding special traits like Russian mio's, the generic mio's stay visible.

That is why I added the tag to 00_generic_organizations.txt, as the Vandal mio's I made contain special traits and don't really share the generic composition. That, and I didn't want to make generic placeholder mio's to replace their corresponding counterparts.

Also, If you just want to add your own Mios and are not concerned about fixing the reliability bug exept for your own Mios, you could add a couple of trait overrides to the country Mio file instead of altering '00_generic_organization.txt'. Would enable that file to be eliminated.

You don't actually need to add a country tag to the list of 'since they have their own'. If the country's Mio file lists a Mio, with it's tag as a pre-requisite, it should be available. I have a personal mod that has a Swedish 'SAAB heavy division' that is a generic medium aircraft Mio only available for Sweden. It has no changes to the actual Mio, and doesn't need '00_generic_organization.txt' in the mod. The entry for the Mio is:

SAAB_heavy_organization = {
include = generic_medium_aircraft_organization
icon = GFX_idea_SWE_saab

allowed = {
tag = SWE
}
That is sufficient to make it available only for Sweden.

Yes, it is correct. The monarchy path is not finished, which is why it is unselectable.

About reliability bug, that's great! you've found a core game bug. The only reason the mod contains the original 00_generic_organization.txt, is to add our country tag to the list of existing original country tags, listed in 'hide generic mio since these countries have their own'.
But I'll add your fix along with the other recent changes from Paradox to the file.

The monarchy path tooltip seems to imply that it is not a complete path and is unselectable. Is this a correct reading of it, and is it intended?

I've made a change to '00_generic_organization.txt' to fix the reliability bug for aircraft Mios. Namely, some files (including this one) sometimes use 'reliability_factor =', in their traits to increase reliability. Unfortunately, this has no effect on aircraft, and should be 'reliability =' instead. To my knowledge, it only affects the range focused aircraft Mio, (two traits) so that's all I've changed.

Goumier Avionics Mios don't show in the new tree. The focus that is supposed to grant them isn't listed in their prerequisites.

Also, some mios have a trait unlocked by focus that appears to not be in the new tree.

I've just noticed that middle Atlas and grand Atlas are only colony states (still owned, but not core or occupied). Didn't start the game like this. Was this a result of some decision, or is there a bug. If the former, how do I get the cores back?

Thanks. It seems al-Khan only contains the "Ministry of War" unique focus id's of both the classic and compact tree. In the next update, the one in the (new tree) shall be set too.

yes, that is correct.
However, democracy branch has a trick up its sleeve.
If stability is atleast 85%, the very next moment a focus inside this branch is completed, the uprising mission will be unable to fail. (meaning it completes instead.)

There is a catch; If stability happens to become 85% AFTER this mission has failed, civil war is unavoidable.

First, you aren't using the same savegame right? It is very likely for changes not to apply.
Secondly, yes, con. mon. spirit has no modifiers, much like the other, that is correct.

Unlike the normal monarchy spirit, for con. mon. I haven't changed it's cancel conditions yet, which I should've modified. But since it is a spirit that doesn't do much by itself, I felt it didn't hurt to leave the spirit like so and go to bed. Now, it will only cancel if communist or anarchist society.

This time I only got the CW chance down to 5, but ran out of options to reduce it further. The mission still hasn't completed.

Managed to change gov't to democracy.

Con. mon. spirit has no modifiers at all, and disappears when the gov't changes. I'm assuming neither was the intended outcome?

A couple of suggestions.
1: The communists should not be under the con. mon. path. They are quite anti-monarchist, constitutional or not.

2: The other con. mon. paths could have a weaker version of the queen's traits as a national spirit, to represent her status as HoS. Assuming those paths no longer have the queen's lifestyle events, keep those out, as the loss of real power also vastly reduces the harm she can do.

Thank you, this is very helpful. aside from the primary issue, It appears that I forgot to set a government change when the civil war is evaded. Currently, this only happens when the civil war is triggered, which directly changes your government. This will be fixed today.

Treasury > pay debt > con. mon. > technocrats > religion (realised about 2/3 the way through that this wasn't required, but let it complete anyway) > 25 days into politics.

While religion was running, ran a bunch of negotiate decisions, got CW count to 0 by focus end.

Appointed Grattus, Asfour, Demir as PP allowed and opened political discourse while religion was running.

Queen still in charge, gov't not yet changed for want of PP and support.

Can you share what choices you made in your playthrough (new tree and decisions) in what order, so I can recreate the scenario for testing?
unless I am on the right track with focus societal reforms, which shows anomalies.
