oh met the first 2 children. items think there r better with the lockboxes but the fight was really nice. especially when there r other parties on the battle field too. there was a mocx squad at the same time reinforcement for advent (more robot mod) and ofc the normal advent troops. and everybody against me xD

From what I've heard their sitreps appear pretty early on. Can they go away or stay to be done later? If they go away I think it may be better for me to use the 2.0 version of this mod so I can actually experience the sneks.

Hi, I don't have this mod installed, and yet I keep getting hard crashes where the log indicates that the game has tried to find the sitreps listed in this mod. Does anyone know if there's some other mod that depends on this one? I don't understand otherwise how this mod would case my game to crash when i don't even have it installed?

man i got the first sitrep once, the first mission i had to evac out of. those enemies are cool but damn the encounter can be brutal. maybe i just got unlucky. really cool tho! i hope i get another sitrep sometime cuz otherwise i never see them

for some reasons this make the other ruler encounters crash the game... despite loving the design of the sneks i had to disable it to continue playing

Just found a bug. The sitrep for the twins spawned on a mission that also had The Horde sitrep, so no vipers appeared and the twins never spawned.

I just finished the Twin Trouble mission but Mohawk never showed up. Maybe because I killed the vipers too fast? I Banished Broken Tusk (the irony) and maybe he never got a chance to call his brother? Dunno.

I don`t know, the Vipers come way to early in my campaign, where i am not able to deal with them. And i mean realy early, but then they just stop. They alwys appear in the first two months and then they dissapear.

@Hyperdragon1701 You can edit the stats in config files. I didn't lower them just based on all my other difficulty/enemy adding mods where I need a few beneficial mods. These vipers are pretty strong, not to mention you may never see them if you don't edit their force levels they appear on, or even then if you just get unlucky. If you miss them or don't kill them you don't get the item

Oh so I killed Broken Tusk too quickly? That's...lame. I didn't get any of the other two sitreps earlier and now this. In a game where your goal is to kill them preferably before they get a turn and you'd obviously focus down the main threat. Especially when you get plasma by that time. Guess maybe next campaign I'll see more of them *shrug*

Normally broken tusk or mohawk should eventually call for the other to come if you give him a few turns.

So if all viper hatchlings die from overwatch when revealed, they don't summon any Children? I had one pod summon Broken Tusk and frostlings, but I never saw Mohawk as I killed another group with overwatches. Actually 1 got frozen from a frostling dying from overwatches, then I killed him. The 3rd in the pod went out of sight. Next turn it ran and died from overwatches

oh and by the by, i noticed that the color changes aren't on missions. The name of the items is the code like <font colorxxxx> Frost Caster not actually Frost Caster in the color blue

you can find the weapon template name in the loc files.. easiest way to find them imo ;)

Is there a way to find out what the weapontemplate is? I'd like to give the sniper bolt caster upgrade slots, but i can't find the correct Templatename in the data to put it in the configure upgrade slots mod or change it in CotK directly

Great mod, I just encountered the twins for the first time and I´m looking forward to meeting more of the family! :) One short question: Is it intended, that you can reproduce the weapons infinitely after the appropriate autopsy? Maybe think of a unique item with the danger of losing it forever upon death, like the special weapons of the DLC?

Something like that IS on our list.. will most likely be released as a seperate mod as not everyone might like that feature

Could you please make it so you can fight all of them. I loved this mod but am sad that I only got to face it on a low level and saw them once. I believe you could do something similar with the other rulers but I know that would be quit ambitious.

@The Dead Kennys - I am having the same problem with the frost ax duplicating on the load out screen and being added to inventory, but other weapons and inventory items are also being duplicated. I don't think that it is this mod causing the problem. If you could send me a copy of your mod list I can compare our mods and troubleshoot. I sent you a friend request.

Gotta say, I underestimated this mod.
Might be due to circumstance, but enocuntering the Twin Princes on a timed C4 Mission was ... tough.
1. Pod of Viper + 2 Hatchlings, didnt think much of it and revealed the squad. One Hatchling survived and called in the first Price and his entourage. Assassin decided to join the party.
2. Fight of Broken Tusk and his goons while the assassin takes stabs at the Squad.
3. Broken Tusk calls in his Brother with another set of 5 Vipers ...
4. At this point I've decided to restealth my Reaper and send him to plant the C4 ... which lead to two Reinforcment Pods due to an Ongoing Dark Event.
5. Battle over 47 Turn in which the Medic truly got to shine, alas he died while stabilizing the Psi Op. The Twins freeze abilities are truly terrifying.

4 of 6 dead at the end of the mission and a happy Assassin with extracted knowledge. I'm sure to bring the Ace Squad next time I see one of the King's Children in the Siterep. :steamsalty:

TO MANY SNAKES! he spawns with only Vipers and they all have the coil attack so they can instant incap your entire squad.

Imo the Viper King's probs the most iconic of the Rulers, and this mod is a pretty perfect edition onto the DLC as a whole.

There is one small note i'd say that could just be briefly improved upon - from what I heard the SITREPS can still occur even before doing the Viper King's Nest mission, i'd argue perhaps that the SITREPS don't happen until the Nest mission is completed if you've set the story-opener for Alien Hunters.

This would make some sense, you going in and tearing down their nest which causes all of the Kings and his Children to flee/hunt you down on your missions after.

Again not sure if what I heard about the STIREPS still being able to occur before the King's Nest mission, if not then sos, but if so, just an idea to put down.

Yeah, thankfully I've managed to find a mod that adds sitreps to all kinds of missions and configured it to have higher chances of making them appear

It's unfortunate seeing how rare that sitrep can be, I guess I should try using a mod which guarantees a sitrep on every mission next campaign

@Cyber Von Cyberus they only spawn in a certain time period through dark events, and if you dont get them within that time, they wont show up.. some restrictions in the game on how we wanted these units to work

@alberto_adm these are forced through the sitrep we made for these.. if the sitrep does not spawn due to other mods that also adds in more sitreps, there's not much we can do about that :(

Thanks for the attention in the previous response, I tried to solve it by myself, but not to avail. So I'll humbly ask for a little more of your time.

I finished the game on Veteran difficulty with various "Enemy Pods" from other MODs like "Better Advent WOTC", "Bio Division" and "Late Enemies" or even "WOTC Elite Alien Pack", but NO CONFRONTATION with these aliens described here I was really anxious).

Are you aware of these new enemies / items having conflicts with other MODs that have this same type of content? Or even other MODs that affect RULERs? (Particularly I was paying special attention to "Renegade Rulers" and "Upgrated Rulers")

I love MODs with new enemies and customization of soldiers. I'm not having any success with these. Is there any possibility (or some future plan) of being able to make them more frequent, or at least one guaranteed appearance throughout the game - as with the original RULERS - to have better opportunities?
