I wasn't even aware you could give them items ... XD They will give you items from their inventory if its one of the items on their 'gather' list. Just tell them to 'gather' it

Can I get back items ive given to them?

I'm using Goal Oriented Action Planning for the companion's brain/planning system. I certainly hope that behaviours like that will 'emerge' if I just put those actions in :) and yes, am thinking about ways of expanding the 'command' system as well to include 'fight that thing' but thats probably far down the backlog :P

just frogs? lolwhat if you could tell him to hunt different thing like a rabbit and if he doesnt have a trap he willl run around staying out of danger gathering the materials till he can make a rabbit trap and catch it

yes, building the companion will be coming :) which hopefully will put some difficulty in. wil credit if i do end up using those very ingredients Xp

You may not have encountered this yet but the companion sometimes makes a spear just to hunt frogs specifically lol

what would be cool is if you could make more for like say 10 gears 6 nightmare fuel and whatever
and so that you cant get too overpowered add a limit? this would be cool.

PS: what about if you could stor thing in him and make him fight by giving him an axe or somthing?

if you mean interfering as in decreasing difficulty and purpose of the game: I personally think it does atm :/

Would love for it to not to somehow, i.e. have to repair companion or some form of maintenance. but future work :)

idk if it is interfering with my game tho...

currently does not get effected by lightning, potentially loses health tho, it just using the same character kind of as a placeholder that makes sense, since the mod itself still under development.

Once I get all the core features in there I'll probably start adding different characters with different abilities or something :P where getting hit by lightning can be added.

what if he is struck by lightning?
Does he get the normal effects so that he glows and maybe gathers faster?
Or does he not get effected?

I feel like you should (once its been updated with building robot)
