While that does make a plentiful amount of sense, Turtles. Saddles aren't exclusively made for being ridden, they're also used for carrying and holding onto things, which is the exact case in this scenario.

While I do like the set, it seems that a barbaric gladiator wouldn't be inclined to wearing a saddle. Saddles=being ridden/rode, and being a badass doesn't include being someone's steed.
