Blorb Sep 12, 2021 @ 8:02am
this is more or less a replica of the clean armour skin but better

@Whiplash141 - wholehearted agreement with your post at 12 Apr @ 9.23pm . Have just started creating mods and... textures!
Whiplash141  [author] Apr 12, 2020 @ 1:23pm
Yep. Tell Keen.

"The mod is so huge because you can't change the damn textures without packaging the armor block models with it."

Zantulo Nov 18, 2018 @ 6:12pm
Yeah I suspected that was the case, but I never know...not experienced enough haha. Good to know.
Whiplash141  [author] Nov 17, 2018 @ 2:39pm
There arent any errors because they are literally just overwriting eachother lol
Zantulo Nov 17, 2018 @ 12:57pm
Oh and my final load order was:

Better Edges
Scratch Be Gone

I didn't need to keep the No Edges mod. It is pretty high up on my load order as well.
Zantulo Nov 17, 2018 @ 12:54pm
It took some trial and error but I managed to get Better Edges to work with this mod so I thought this would be a good place for others to see it (as the end result is very sexy, imo). The slim edges in that mod make your ships look less polygonal, as the edges are dark gray so they sorta hide the corners a bit and make the aesthetics less grating than no edges or Keen edges.

I can't quite remember what order I did this in to get it to work, but I tried a several things like loading SEModder4's No Edges above this mod, saved and exited, then removed No Edges from my active mods and loaded Better Edges above this mod.

I also tried a few load orders with the No Edges version of this mod. I tried several combinations, as I was determined to get clean armor with those slim edges, and I've done it now on two saves but I can't be sure what the final combination was that did it. I don't have any errors from either mods in the debug window.

Space engineers cleaning product.
Whiplash141  [author] Apr 14, 2018 @ 6:15pm
Yeah a "ruggedness" slider for the paint tool would be neat :D
TenTech Apr 14, 2018 @ 6:02pm
I wish this could be applied to individual grids. My manufactory should be worn down, but the landspeeders are brand new...
Ghost 108 Feb 23, 2018 @ 5:34pm
There should be a spin off of this that adds a seperate clean armor block along with the scratched vanilla ones.
Southbound Feb 14, 2018 @ 8:45am
Thanks Whip, tis awsum!
Whiplash141  [author] Feb 13, 2018 @ 3:42pm
Also for those who asked, I made an edgeless variant: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1300118006

Southbound Feb 10, 2018 @ 12:46pm
@737 Garrus: Yes. You can remove the edges by simply editing the CubeBlocks.sbc file with NotePad++ like VanuBaguio helpfully pointed out previously in this thread.
Nrgbistro Feb 9, 2018 @ 12:19pm
Whip, would you be willing to make some sort of 'glass block mod'? Since you are just starting out modding, I think it would be good practice. Also, I really need a nice looking glass corner block for me ship ;)
737✈Garrus Feb 8, 2018 @ 4:31pm
I have, does the edge mod conflict the Scratch-B-Gone treatment?
WariousGaming Feb 8, 2018 @ 3:38pm
holy s*it You should submit that to Space Engineers dev team and tell them to implement it that way so textures on ships will look better xd
MrEvan312 Feb 8, 2018 @ 1:52pm
This mod seriously saved all my UNSC ships. Since most of them have a darker color palette, I would've have to drastically repaint them all one by one. Whiplash to the rescue!
Socialitik Feb 8, 2018 @ 10:19am
That give increase fps?
Southbound Feb 8, 2018 @ 6:59am
@VanuBaguio I followed your example and replaced all of these values with False in Notepad++. Worked like a charm!
@Whiplash141 I can send you the modfied CubeBlocks.sbc if you'd like to upload an edgeless version. Otherwise I'm just gonna use this mod locally. :)
Southbound Feb 8, 2018 @ 5:54am
This does wonders to my ships! Could you possibly make a variant that has no armor edges? I'm guessing using a separate mod for that interferes with this one?
SpetS Feb 7, 2018 @ 8:19pm
edit: nvm, I just put the mod in high priority (move to the top list) and it worked now
SpetS Feb 7, 2018 @ 8:14pm
for some reason the textures does not change for me :/
Vortex ♀ Pixalation Feb 7, 2018 @ 7:09pm
278MB isn't even big though
Whiplash141  [author] Feb 7, 2018 @ 8:31am
"Mod looks great but uuuhhh....276MB?"

From the description above: The mod is so huge because you can't change the damn textures without packaging the armor block models with it.

"Sorry but that's a dealbreaker for me."

Sorry to hear that.
Tanya Sapien Feb 7, 2018 @ 8:04am
Mod looks great but uuuhhh....276MB?

Sorry but that's a dealbreaker for me.
SRXcraft Feb 7, 2018 @ 3:12am
Must be an option in the base game
DanktheRed Feb 6, 2018 @ 8:39pm
OOOOHHHHH GOD ITS SO SHINY!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!
Whiplash141  [author] Feb 6, 2018 @ 5:46pm
@737 Garrus:
Do you have any other mods installed? Like armor edge mods?
technokind Feb 6, 2018 @ 2:14pm
Howdy
737✈Garrus Feb 6, 2018 @ 9:11am
It seems the coat of Sratch-B-Gone over my ships didn't bite. I have treated every ship with your scratch-removing product and it doesn't do what it's supposed to.
This mod does not work for me. Any guesstimations on fixing it? :D
S2ymi Feb 6, 2018 @ 7:17am
F*cking amazing:steamhappy:
stoicboss101 Feb 5, 2018 @ 2:45pm
as much as i like the scratches on the armor, mods like this and the development of them makes brings life the modding community.

keep up the fantastic work!
737✈Garrus Feb 5, 2018 @ 11:38am
I'd really spray my ship hulls with Scratch-B-Gone. Now I can thanks to this mod. You deserve 100% pure awesome!
[PRH] Ibubr Feb 5, 2018 @ 8:14am
absolute must have with the latest patch!
Jonthonu Feb 5, 2018 @ 5:45am
@kalskirata this mod and a separate edgeless armor won't work, it will only load the first one out of the two when put together in a mod list.
TenTech Feb 5, 2018 @ 2:14am
A shame you can't apply this to particular ships...
Kal Skirata Feb 5, 2018 @ 12:11am
and all we need now is for whiplash here to buffer the armor a bit to make everything look fresh from the mill.
