Hey Caddis. I'm glad to see people are still using this old mod! But I'm sorry, as stated in the description above, I'm not able to edit this mod anymore. Too old, to many updates. So it is offered as is only. I can't even correct the errors. :(
Apolias_ Apr 1, 2017 @ 11:58pm
please can you remove the smelter thats near alvors house. its pointles when your house with a smithery is just 20 feet away an it can conflict with other mods that changes things around in that area. its basicly comes to this or that an i would like both but i carnt because of that smelter you placed near alvors. i like your house but that smelter has to go in my opinion to make that house complete. that smelter is just like a ...... WTF is that for moment when you see it. please.
Apolias_ Nov 26, 2016 @ 2:05am
there is also a very small (crack :/) in the smithing room. look like jus a window to see the underside of skyrim ha ... other than that, the damn oddd smelter in the middle of riverwood town.
Apolias_ Nov 25, 2016 @ 8:06pm
this is a fantastic home mod, but why the smelter out near old m8s plc for when you have set a smthery up inside the home, anyways. good mod ty.

love simplicity good job
wolfman Mar 22, 2013 @ 7:25pm
just visited this place, and i think it's great. only 2 things missing 1- as the father was a less resputable fellow he should have had a secret entrance for his comings and goings. and 2 if Wulferd had left a recipe for his ale hidden somewhere. but otherwise great little house
Aaron of Mpls Feb 5, 2013 @ 11:43am
While I agree that Riverwood is rather built-up, there was still room for one more little house back there. It did seem to fit in with the other houses.
The Dark Ranger Feb 5, 2013 @ 10:14am
what about in the western mountains borderimg falkreath hold? It could still be within the general area.
Ticklefeather  [author] Feb 5, 2013 @ 10:03am
@ I've really been meaning to redo this mod. This was my very first one to make after finishing all the CK tutorials. It is very messy. But I love the story so much, I think if I do remake it, I'll leave it at least nearby. You are certainly right about Riverwood being crowded!
The Dark Ranger Feb 5, 2013 @ 9:34am
I think you should put this house somewhere else. Riverwood is too crowded. I think this house or another like it literaly built into a cliff or mountain side with the front of the house being normal and a doorway without a door just like a drape over it leading down into sub levals with rooms for followers and kids and a wife or two. The place would be abandoned and you would just build it up adding what you wanted. It would require hearthfire but it is cheap I would assume many people have it and besides it would be an awsome mod.
Aaron of Mpls Jan 17, 2013 @ 3:29am
Oh, I do! I just have it disabled for the time being; my highest-level character lives in Hjerim and wants to keep his dining table. :-)
Ticklefeather  [author] Jan 17, 2013 @ 1:28am
@ Aaron_of_Mpls Yikes! This was my first mod and is a bit "messy." I cannot update it and really need to make a new version. I've been intending to do a new version for a while now but am easily distracted.

I'm glad you like it.
Aaron of Mpls Jan 16, 2013 @ 9:23pm
This mod seems to delete some banquet tables in my game, leaving all the items on them on the floor. It happens with only this mod enabled, and doesn't happen with only this mod disabled. The specific tables I've noticed missing are the table near the right-side wall of Dragonsreach as you enter the front door (next to court mage Farengar's rooms), and the dining table in the main room in Hjerim. I haven't checked for others yet.

Other than that, nicely done! The lair under the house is quite cool.

Bah. Crash and burn. I just finished a new mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=93169096 so I should be able to work on a rerelease of this one soon.
Ticklefeather  [author] Aug 31, 2012 @ 11:25pm
I'm not sure. I'll try it now!
GhostCat Aug 31, 2012 @ 11:24pm
Did you load it with the update.esm
Ticklefeather  [author] Aug 31, 2012 @ 11:23pm
@ The Unknown I like your suggestions but I can't seem to update this mod without crashing the CK. I may rerelease it so that I can update.
GhostCat Aug 11, 2012 @ 5:19pm
Oh and can you give the mead in the house a name to make it seem realish.
GhostCat Aug 11, 2012 @ 5:16pm
Can you make it less of an earie sound and more toward the everyday sound of skyrim.
Ticklefeather  [author] Aug 7, 2012 @ 5:13am
Hi there Thanos1. I'm glad you like this mod. It was my first one, so it is a bit messy in the CK. I use this as my starter house for any new characters I make and I haven't lost any items. I now know how to stop the weird mannequin movement but I can't seem to update this mod without crashing the CK. Argh. I haven't used the CK in about a month now, so maybe I should check for updates and try to change this one again.
Euphoric Krishna Jul 20, 2012 @ 11:23am
cool housemod, nicely done with the story and all. usual trouble with mannequins moving around and you could make some stuff (like the "water tap") static. keeps people from pulling it out of the wall to see what it is. all in all a satisfying hidden lair that for once doesn't have bloodstains everywhere. :D

only question left is: what is the key to the spirit of the fox? (looked at the place in CK and couldn't find another door)
oh and are all containers secure? because some don't have an owner mapped. although most are non respawnable. (most because i didn't check all of them)
thanks
GhostCat Jun 20, 2012 @ 4:14pm
Thanks for replying, so can you add a fence near by that served the family and now you. And can there be a secret portal to the ragged flagon.
Ticklefeather  [author] Jun 20, 2012 @ 10:05am
@ jashay Thanks for the suggestions. I'd rather keep it empty to fit with the story of it having been shut for a long time before the brother and sister left. It is fully Navmesh'ed though, so your follower can come in with you when you take over the place.
GhostCat Jun 19, 2012 @ 6:12pm
and theif follower?
GhostCat Jun 19, 2012 @ 6:12pm
CAn you add a fence in the secret area and maybe a blacksmith?
Ticklefeather  [author] May 2, 2012 @ 7:07am
Thanks Bedevere! And also for your comments and suggestions on Roriksberg.
Bedevere May 1, 2012 @ 4:32pm
Came here via Roriksberg mod. I like this place, feels like a bat cave!
Ticklefeather  [author] Apr 21, 2012 @ 5:22am
Increased the lighting in the underground areas.
Rylande Mar 13, 2012 @ 2:46pm
Still can't see any key :(
Ticklefeather  [author] Mar 9, 2012 @ 1:26am
Two quick little updates to the key placement and lighting. I hope this helps. Have a great weekend everyone!
Rylande Mar 6, 2012 @ 10:04am
Good mod, from the looks of the screenshots a good house (hideout), too bad the key is invisible, but you're on it from the looks of things :)
Cucumbered Mar 4, 2012 @ 1:04pm
It's a great home, but I think it's a bit dark, I can hardly see anything? Or maybe it's just me?

Maybe my other mods screw something up, I have RCRN 2.0 mod (Legacy) and realistic indoor lighting.
Ticklefeather  [author] Mar 2, 2012 @ 12:30am
@rjmcguire Thanks. I think I'll just put it on top of the pile this weekend as an update.
rjmcguire Mar 1, 2012 @ 11:03pm
Thanks. I switched off clipping and looked under the dirt pile. I was then able to pick up the key by scanning around, key was invisible and under the dirt pile.
Ticklefeather  [author] Mar 1, 2012 @ 2:18am
@MK Saibot & Ganguro666 Thanks! I'm glad you like the mod. @ rjmcguire there is a screenshot of the key above. It's near the fern, under the torch to the right of the iron door.
rjmcguire Feb 29, 2012 @ 10:49pm
Hi, I just can't find that key. I scanned the whole dirt pile to the right of the door... nothing.
Any ideas?

Thanks
Kru Feb 29, 2012 @ 8:59pm
Wow perfect heck ya all you need home
Ticklefeather  [author] Feb 28, 2012 @ 8:08am
Hey there Silentshot. Thanks! Busy with orcs atm. :D
Silentshot Feb 28, 2012 @ 6:20am
Tigerlily: I am impressed... I like it a lot. Cannot wait to see what else you come up with.
Johnny Feb 28, 2012 @ 1:38am
Excellent home. So good not to have to travel all over to get things done. Definitely gets a rgreat rating from me.
Ticklefeather  [author] Feb 28, 2012 @ 1:17am
@Goden.ca Yes, please do look at the mod in the CK. You'll see some Omni lights strewn about as well as the candle/fire light.
Ticklefeather  [author] Feb 28, 2012 @ 1:11am
@ Thellorms Nor'Fein I'm sorry you found searching for the hidden part of the house frustrating. I meant it to be a fun little puzzle. In reading the journals you should be looking for something hidden. The bookshelf in the brewery/basement is hiding the tunnel. Move things around. Look for a way to move the bookshelf. Once you've found your way further down, remember what the journal says about the key.
I hope you'll give it another go.
Thalestr Feb 28, 2012 @ 12:00am
@ElderStatesman It seems running too many player houses causes massive instabilty. I cannot run more than 2 or 3 without crashing every 15 minutes.
Elder Statesman Irmc Feb 27, 2012 @ 9:17pm
Very pretty pictures. Causes my game to crash. Unsubscribing. Can't figure out why player housing would cause a crash, especially since it causes a crash without any other player housing installed.
🦅 Helldivin' Henry Feb 27, 2012 @ 5:13pm
Maybe I'm daft or something, but I cant find a key in a dirtpile or anything. I see wind coming from behind a bookshelf leading me to believe theres something behind it but theres no way to interact with it. Is this intentional? And from below comments, people walk into it? Is that intentional? This was a bit of a mind twist for me, sorry... unsubscribed. :(
Thalestr Feb 27, 2012 @ 2:33pm
I'm scratching my head in wonder about why the lighting is so dark. Some hallways will actually brighten up when I wakl into them, but the game will darken again when I leave the hallway and enter the room. Blargh. I guess I could just load it up in the CK and increase the lighting strength.

Spouses in mod houses. Check out "Spouses Can Live Everywhere" by Amgepo and Emma. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11370#content
Ticklefeather  [author] Feb 27, 2012 @ 10:07am
@Goden.ca I'm sorry this is happening for you. As you can see in the screenshots above it's not overly dark inside. Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions?
Thalestr Feb 27, 2012 @ 9:26am
Nope. Most caves and dungeons look fine with both ENB turned off and on. The upstairs brewary looks fine, but as soon as I walk into the bookshelf door everything suddenly turns dark. The main entrance room after that looks fine, but many of the side rooms are quite dark. Even if I turn ENB off it still looks dark. (Compared to normal dungeons)
Ticklefeather  [author] Feb 26, 2012 @ 11:37pm
@Goden.ca Wow, it really isn't dark to me in the creation kit or in game. Is it difficult for you to see while in caves and dungeons? I think this must be something to do with your settings.
