Report a translation problem
My friend had an identical problem with a twist - for some reason, they got defaulted to Empty Rectangle, and can't change off of it. (No idea how that happened.) We're probably both going to remove the mod until it's fixed, and thanks and good wishes to the mod author for being right on that, but again, just reporting our experiences in case that helps track down whatever's causing this.
Shouldn't hurt your save game to uninstall.
There's a setting that makes it auto-detect where to put the menu and it's hiding it behind the other UI, so make sure you go in mod settings to disable the option that auto-sets the locaiton and then adjust it manually.
I'm not sure about deleting the vanilla version - though that would be nice.
Your Shapes menu shouldn't move after you adjust it, though - you should only need to move it manually once.
Can you try enabling 'Lock the window in place' (found in the Mod Options under 'Window Y') after dragging it into position?
Shame the updates inferior version of the mod breaks it.
Changing the numbers does naught but resolve it temporarily and pausing every two minutes to change the numbers is destroying my calm demeanor.
Try the following:
1. Load/Start a game
2. go to 'Options' -> 'Mod Options' -> 'Designator Shapes'
3. look for 'Window Y' option
4. Change this option from '-1' to some positive integer, i.e. '500'
5. Open an Order that would normally give you a Shapes menu (ex. 'Mine)
6. See if you can see the Shapes window. It may be fully visible but far above the currently open menu on the left. If you still don't see it, try changing the 'Window Y' option to some other value, maybe '100', etc.
7. If you can see the Shapes window, you can now drag it into whatever position you desire.
The issue is that the Shapes menu is appearing *behind* the new vanilla shapes selector.
Kinda, I can select any shape, but it doesn't matter. It's always hollow box.
