Description
Allows you to build, mine, zone, etc. in various shapes, such as (both filled and outline):
- Line (including diagonal and freeform)
- Rectangle
- Ellipse
- Circle
- Pentagon
- Hexagon
Also includes these pre-defined object shapes (both filled and outline):
- Sun lamp
- Orbital trade beacon

See the shape dictionary in the mod settings!

There's also a flood-fill tool, as well as undo/redo functionality when the game is paused.

To use:
- Select the task you want to do (build, mine, zone, etc.)
- Select the shape you want to draw in the shapes menu
-- Shapes with a "+" sign on them enter a sub-menu. Select the shape from within that menu
-- Some sub-menus have additional sub-menus. The "+" sign goes deeper into a sub-menu, the "-" sign goes back out
-- Within the rectangle and ellipse sub-menu are the "size input shapes" menu. From here you can define a width and height in the input menu and it will draw that shape in the given size from the middle.
- Use the rotate keys to rotate the shape
- Use the F key (or the key you have bound to "forbid item") to toggle filling of corners.
- There's a setting to allow you to add a "toggle" button that will collapse the menu and restore vanilla functionality.

There are settings you can adjust for flood-fill, the style of menu navigation, and the size and location of the shape menu. You can also drag the menu to put it wherever is most comfortable for you.

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION IF YOU ARE USING RIMFACTORY OR SOS2!
THERE ARE MOD SETTINGS TO HELP CONFIGURE THE COMPATABILITY, BUT IT'S UP TO YOU!
MOD COMPATABILITY:
This mod is generally compatible with other mods no matter the load order. If you are using this with a mod that has rotatable elements (such as RimFactory's conveyor belts or ship-corner pieces from SOS2), you have three options to preserve RimFactory's rotation instead of Designator Shape's:
1) If you have a shape selected that isn't rotatable (lines, cutouts) then rotation is passed down to the other mod. There's nothing you need to do.
2) If you want the other-mod's rotation to work no matter the shape (e.g. rectangles), there is an option to disable rotation keys in the mod setting.
3) You can rebind the rotation keys to different keys if want both.

Found the problem I was having, I added ceiling lights mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3163886128 a few days ago and must've not used the grow room shape until yesterday. Anyway I removed that mod and everything is working as it should again

For some reason today, trying to use the sunlamp designations are 27 blocks wide, haven't changed my load order overnight and it was working fine yesterday. Any ideas why this might've happened?

There is a bug in this mod, it happens rarely and I have no idea what causes it to happen but sometimes when you expand stockpile zone it does not expand. Instead it expands by one tile or no tiles sometimes. On a new playthrough this issue does not persist butafter a couple playthroughs it appears again. Someone mentioned it in the rimworld reddit but nobody paid attention so I am commenting this here because it is this mod that is causing it. Can confirm this 100% because after disabling this mod and loading the same save the issue is gone

Hm weird. Was it with the filled-rectangle selected? Was it certain kinds of trees specifically that didn't get selected?

Started a new game after installing this mod. Caused an issue where when I drag select objects for a task such as chop all these trees it doesn't select some of the trees in the drag box. Had the same issue when selecting to deconstruct a bunch of ruins. I can still select each thing individually though. Uninstalled mod, and the issue went away. The only mod I can think of that maybe it is conflicting with somehow is the "More Planning" mod.

I can try, but for all that mod adds, it might be easiest to make shapes toggleable and toggle it off when doing blueprint stuff. I haven't actually used it so i don't know if that's feasiable, butthat's where I would start.

The people over in Dubs Discord have a spreadsheet regarding poorly performing mods, it lists Blueprints as broken and incompatible with Designator Shapes so I dont think theres any workaround.
