Loading Enhanced Video Settings + CUP Terrains 2.0 Extended Grass Mod immediatley crashes Chernarus 2020. Took me quite a bit to narrow this down with aprox 100 active mods. Other terrains seem to work fine with both mods active. Hope this helps someone else.

@Sams Hi! I wanted to ask you after the last BIS update, when the "Exreme" settings were added, is your mod still relevant? There may be a difference between the "Exreme" and "Super" settings that are in your mod. I wish I could understand.

Does this mod conflict with bad benson's midtex mod?

i believe this mod isnt redundant yet cus it has force ultra terrain and PP settings i think are better with the mod

Where do i go to see the new options? I have the mod on, but i still see the same options as before.

Hey Sams. I love your mod, but I ran into a game-breaker. In the Cold War Crisis missions 'Night Patrol,' the mission crashes right after the initial cutscene. I have disabled every other mod but yours (and the required mods for CWR).

As a boomer low-spec gamer, the game is now smoother than my ass, thank you comrade

I am not seeing any real difference. I choose the highest values too.
Window 10 x64, Rtx 1070 ti ftw ultra, 32 gb system memory, all ssd's.
System and drivers are up to date. No other video mods.

Never mind it's working now!

That explains why I saw little to no difference when DLE was enabled.

By the way, "The Dynamic Lights Extended" and my mod do the same thing for the number of dynamic lights, but both are now obsolete in that regard. The vanilla number on the highest setting was changed to 32 some time ago.

It might be some other mod somehow conflicting with the textures setting. It works on my end without other mods, and the effect is very clear, unlike the super high settings is some situations.

Woolly Bruh, that can't happen without some mod adding them to your game. If they're the exact same options as in this mod, somebody has probably ripped the mod and added into theirs.

Yeah ofc, they need their keys placed and enabled via the server files. That's why I was asking, I thought this is some sort of a special fix for the game that works all over the place.

I'm not an expert on this, but to my understanding all mods need to be specifically allowed on the server. There are no mods that you can use on any server. I highly doubt this mod is enabled on official servers.

The mod uses the vanilla configuration. If you load the game without it, the game automatically changes the settings to the closest vanilla values. This doesn't cause any problems as far as I know.

Does this mod write to the vanilla configuration file, or does it use a custom one? I’m worred about possible issues that could arise from turning the mod off but forgeting to put my settings back to default values.

do you know about it? the devs for update 2.06 will change the dynamic light shade from 16 to 36! all thanks to your mod which helped them! UNBELIEVABLE

You're right, it's pretty much what's stated in the description.
Although you can't achieve the same with cfg changes as the they're reset to the maximum available values on restart.

The idea behind the mod is actually very nice, to make an old graphic look nicer on modern computers. However, this is very minimal. Even the comparison images show at most an improvement in the shadows. These can be set very widely, which is more "realistic" but costs performance. However, only engine performance, fewer FPS were displayed, but nothing has changed in terms of the load on the GPU / CPU. The distance of the LOD is limited by the engine, so that beyond a certain distance definitely nothing is displayed anymore, nothing has changed for me even on the extra steps.
The bottom line is that this mod (unfortunately) only brings something in the shadow display and up to the LOD border a little more grass. (You can also see on the comparison pictures)
Maybe someone can say the relevant numbers for the .cfg file, just change it there, otherwise, after countless hours of testing the improvement of the graphics, it remains to say, The Arma engine is just not good.

Just being able to set objects to "lowest" has completely change the whole game experience for me. Any difference in graphic and model quality isn't even noticeable, and it just runs so much better.

Servers dictate which mods are allowed to played with. This mod hasn't changed in a while, so it must be server that doesn't allow it anymore.
