I don't suppose anyone ever made a patch to have this support new (mod) animals?

couldnt you use the corpse of each animal as the building material instead?

oh ok XD

The stuffed animals get a random art story, which could possibally be linked to a bonded animals death, but since that is random, its highly unlikely.

i whas wondering is it an story some short on the dead animal? im thinking of bondet animal?

It would appear that this mod could be alot better than it is with some patching. That said, im too busy/lazy to fix it. If anyone wants to take over this mod, feel free.

"any non vinilla animals would need to be added in a sepperate mod"
Not true. You can in fact make it work with conditional patching. I wrote an example in the forum xpath help thread [ludeon.com]. Patching is a lot more powerful that first meets the eye.

As for animals with exoskeleton and no leather: how about making them require bones instead of cloth if BoneMod is loaded? This too can be done with conditional patching.

It would be best to post questions regarding patching on the forum rather than here. It's a better interface for including sample code or attached files and more people will see it, both to answer and read the answer later.

@sanguinedawn. That might be easyer for some one who actually knows how to do any of what you just said.
An awsome itead indeed. If you were to make said mod, I would sub it :P
Thelockenessmonster Dec 6, 2017 @ 8:34am
could you add humans aswelll, maybe pleasing bloodlusties or used to scare raiders

Would it be easier to rewrite the whole thing to allow you to taxidermify virtually any pawn that has leather? A class that checks every race def loaded for a leather. Use this info to populate a menu with options for how you want to build your taxidermy: age category (so you can have stuffed deer and fawns) This could generate a recipe based directly on the animal's race def, using a base Stuff like steel or wood and the size multiplier of the creature itself from its race def with a leather amount applicable to the appropriate size too. That way you wouldn't need to write a patch for every mod, you could stuff virtually any pawn.

Rotatibility would be amazing!
Looking forward to see what gets added to this mod :D

I would love to add something like that, and will be looking into it. I have not made anything that mounts to a wall yet so it might take a little while. I also MIGHT make the current stuffed animals rotatible.

I love this mod, it's simply amazing!
I do wonder however if it would be possible to get wall mounts and skin rugs in the future? :)

Someone needs to make a "taxidermy patch" for Megafauna and Dinosauria! Like they have done with "a dog said".
This mod is GREAT for decoration!

Any animal could be added; however, any non vinilla animals would need to be added in a sepperate mod if I wanted to stay with the current recepie formula. I could add a Trex statue, but I would need somewhere to get the Trex leather from.

I think that if I were to add animals from the animal collab project, I would make that a sepperate mod and change some of the crafting cost. iirc that mod adds more animal products such as horns. Which I would add to crafting horned animals.

Very nice :) I remember that there was similar mod in ancients times. Do you think you be able also to add animals from Animal Collab Proj mod?
