I've gotten notifications for pets being hunted *only after they were stricken* in vanilla. I've never used this mod before, but now that I'm going through the "Mandatory Mods" list, I think this one belongs :)

@Auraknight: By default the game pops up a letter when an animal or colonist is attacked - I presume this adds a notification when the hunt begins, rather than when the resulting fight starts, so you have time to get the animal or colonist out of the predator's range, or at least get a head start on sending in someone to help.

I think this just lets you change the behavior of the notification (see the second screenshot)

isn't this vanilla already? I've gotten notifications that my pets have been hunted for food by wild animals before.

Thank you I'm so tired of my guys getting mauled by foxes, wolves, bears, etc. when out mining or building. Even my poor terrier dog was getting mauled repeatedely right in the middle of my base like 3 or 4 times now and by the time their attacking you it's too late.

Not sure I understand the order of alert culprit thing even with the mod author's explanation, but definitely need this because there's no way a colonist isn't going to notice a big lumbering beast coming for their giblets when they can sense a Raid happening immediately on the border of the map.

It means transition of focus target when pressing a critical alert.
e.q.)"Victim A is targeted by Predator A." and "Victim B is targeted by Predator B."
No alert : Not focus
Only predator : Predator A > Predator B > Predator A > Predator B > ...
Only victim: Victim A > Victim B > Victim A > Victim B > ...
Alternate predator and victim: Predator A > Victim A > Predator B > Victim B > ...

Keybindings translation file may be for Cut plants before building, so I added it to Cut plants before building.

I'm several years in to a colony and I've needed this. Panthers keep killing my boomalope and alpaca herds. :( Great idea and thank you for the mod!

I would recommend adding a note to your description about save compatability. I was going to ask it again until I scrolled through the comments here and saw you had already replied to another player. Found it on page 3 today, but who knows tomorrow?

Aha, that might explain it. Also, it's fine. Like I said before, this mod has been a (literal) lifesaver on just about every other occasion where something scary has chased one of my colonists. I just found it a bit odd that the spiders eluded the alert message. Oh well, thanks for the clarification!

I think the problem with Arachnophobia is that giant spiders don't trigger the same kind of response when they hunt a colonist. They down them then spin them into a web and carry them off. They don't always kill them right away.

Might want to bring up a possible incompatibility with Rim of Madness: Arachnophobia, since the alert didn't go off when a spider attacked one of my colonists. Otherwise, great mod!

If you want to active critical alert, you required to set the option "The order of alert culprit" to items other than "No alert".

Hey, nice mod, I already had a non workshop version similar to that, and it's downright essential if you play in a non temperate biome (up to several attack per day during fall).
But could you put the alert in red, like hyporthermia/severe illness ? It's easy to miss that kind of alert.

You do not need to use in a new save.Either is fine.
