I can't seem to get the Chaparral 2F's (forgotten the fictional name) movable wing to work at Le Grand, it works at other circuits but I can't activate it at Le Grand, which is a shame because without it the car is not really competitive.
WhiteVoid Mar 14, 2024 @ 12:27pm
This is one of my favourite mods, the art style is unique but not that far of the car, and you can still recognise a lot of the real cars in the cars you made, i hope you gonna give us more cars, as we need more of this type of racing on RF2!
SpotCash Jan 5, 2024 @ 9:18am
Thanks. However, even if I select the 2.0L engine, the car is classified Pr1.6/2.0+
Mantasisg Jan 4, 2024 @ 12:45pm
@SpotCash That additional class is for Prosch cars with 2.2L engines. They are selectable for player via upgrade option.
SpotCash Jan 4, 2024 @ 7:13am
Huge thanks for the update! However, there is a change with the Pr1.6/2.0 class:
Before the update, there was only one Pr1.6/2.0 class.
After the update, there are 2 Pr1.6/2.0 classes:
- Pr1.6/2.0: Maitre 360M
- Pr1.6/2.0+: Proch 100-CS and 70CL

Is it on purpose?

Thanks for the update woo

These cars look great and sound great but why are they so damn oversteery ? If they are based off the Howston I don't get it because the Howston doesn't suffer from just a light flick of the wheel and the car spins out. It's controlable.. Maybe it's just an issue with the default set ups ?
Shaun McEwan Mar 25, 2023 @ 3:01am
Awesome. Thank you for your effort.
woochoo  [author] Mar 14, 2023 @ 11:41pm
Thanks Druid, will look into the issue. A good chance the problem will be a mystery if it has been caused by a game update, but it will get fixed if it's easy/obvious. Happy that otherwise you're enjoying it of course :)
druid1 Mar 6, 2023 @ 10:00pm
this is my all time favourite mod - however since the 1st Quarter 2023 update, it seems there is an issue where at least one third to one half of the field retire at the time of the first pitstop in a race. From looking at replays it seems cars aren't taking on fuel at the pitstop; they crawl into T1 (Le Grand Circuit) and retire. I've had similar results at the 1000k Brianza

the models are a bit generic, so they're not really worth of the names. And then there are the legal issues which i don't want to get near, even if they're unlikely to be a problem
jean.philip.legrand Dec 13, 2022 @ 8:19am
hi woochoo, about this great mod, why not have the real names ? other vintage mods use real names, how to make the changes ?
Thiago Oct 25, 2021 @ 11:42pm
Thank you!

Thank you, WooChoo! Sure to be seen on the F3 Fanatics server!

Thank you!

A friend did make a comparison table with the names of the real cars that inspired the cars in this mod: post 241 in the forum thread [forum.studio-397.com]

We're expecting to have an update for this mod in roughly the next couple of months as well. Details in the forum thread linked above
Cannavaro Jun 7, 2020 @ 11:12am
Best mod ive seen in a long time thank you !
is there a list with the real names of the cars? like you did with the 54 cars
CT-7522 Jay Jan 9, 2020 @ 6:44am
Hey Woochoo, I completely understand. I create skins for my cars, even trying to make a whole season using the S397 cars, however, it's so complex that I also don't have enough time to do it so i understand how you feel.
woochoo  [author] Jan 9, 2020 @ 6:03am
Thanks Jay, it's perhaps not a bad idea to use the Cobra physics as a basis for the GT cars, but it might not happen. Unlikely we'll do another season for either the 50s or 60s, or any other period. I'd love to, but i won't have time. Glad you're enjoying the packs anyway :)
CT-7522 Jay Jan 9, 2020 @ 5:58am
So my final verdict? A great 10/10 for this fantastic mod!! So glad that you made this for rFactor 2. It just improves the sim by so great extent, because now, we can race with vintage F1:summer2019vehiclehare: cars and Vintage Le Mans cars:summer2019vehiclecockatiel:. Le Mans, here I come!!:summer2019vehiclecockatiel::summer2019vehiclecockatiel::summer2019vehiclecorgi:
CT-7522 Jay Jan 9, 2020 @ 5:55am
This is a great mod!! Only correction, I would have used the Cobra for the GT cars. Maybe you could do a Le Mans 1964 or 65 version? Also but this is regarding the Cobra 1954 set, maybe you could make a 59 version? I understand how much time this costs, but these are just some ideas:summer2019vehiclecorgi:

Great Job !!
woochoo  [author] Jan 5, 2020 @ 3:06pm
Thanks Jim and 5Magics, and Eric :)
Also, vanisch2, the cockpit dials now light up at night :)
5Magics Jan 5, 2020 @ 7:03am
ok i left the game for one reason only. to say this is probably the best workshop car out there. you nailed it. its pretty hard but when you get it right its an awesome feeling 10 out of 10
JimmyC Jan 4, 2020 @ 6:47pm
Congratulations on a huge update to all the cars: physics and appearance. Thank you for this labor of love.
Eric O'Hara Nov 2, 2019 @ 1:45pm
Transformed these cars... thank you woochoo
woochoo  [author] Sep 25, 2019 @ 7:39pm
Thanks vanisch,
There is no plan to add interior lighting. I didn't know it was possible, and I didn't expect those cars would have much.
If I can find some reference material it will be considered
vanisch2 Sep 23, 2019 @ 3:16pm
Thanks so much for this great Mod!
Can you perhaps install the interior lighting in an update?
In any case, an incredibly good mod.
Mak80_ Aug 23, 2018 @ 12:58pm
great work woochoo, thanks!
woochoo  [author] Aug 22, 2018 @ 8:21pm
now updated to v1.5, as described in the previous comment
woochoo  [author] Aug 16, 2018 @ 10:47pm
there is an update for this mod coming quite soon. :steamhappy:
I've added a video to preview
Classes have been implemented to help opponent selection, and results classifications.
All of the body meshes have been minorly adjusted with some styling cues.
Some liveries have had minor updates.
Modified wheel meshes for all cars (the same mesh) with custom wheel colours per car.

Also, the 7.0L white cars, #7 & #8, now have a giant rear wing, which can toggle between high and low downforce. That works in conjunction with a theoretical front flap to maintain aero balance in either setting. Some text editing is required to bind both front and rear flaps to a single button or key. See here for instructions on binding the same control input to both flaps [forum.studio-397.com] :steamhappy:
woochoo  [author] Nov 28, 2017 @ 1:27pm
It should work stand-alone, without the original pack :)
Same with the Cobra '54 pack
Mak80_ Nov 28, 2017 @ 1:16pm
needs this mod original ISI's Howston G4 for work?
or is it indipendent mod?
XenoYparxi Nov 28, 2017 @ 4:47am
If I remember correctly, it's not adjustable in the setup
woochoo  [author] Nov 28, 2017 @ 4:38am
ok, they might not have enough default cooling then. I don't remember if it is adjustable in the car setup, but if not it might need an update some time. thanks for the feedback :)
XenoYparxi Nov 28, 2017 @ 4:36am
Yeah, that's what I was doing. I was shifting on ~8000rpm but the engine burns out no matter what...
woochoo  [author] Nov 28, 2017 @ 4:35am
thanks, yes it's quite possible there is something mis-calibrated, but also, try not revving them so hard. i think i removed the rev limiters. Getting the maximum power at a the right rev range might be beyond the basic tweaks i did with my limited understanding. If anyone wants to help improve these, please get in touch :)
XenoYparxi Nov 28, 2017 @ 4:30am
Great mod nevertheless, gives some variety in the le mans field
XenoYparxi Nov 28, 2017 @ 4:29am
I don't know if this is the version that was released long time ago, but... I tested the #121 car (wich represents ferrari, I guess), and the engine couldn't last even for 2 laps, the temperatures are rising really high on the second lap and the engine burns out. And also the revs are wrong, every source that I found says that ferrari 330 p4 reaches maximum power on ~8000~8500 rpm, and here it goes all the way up to 10k rpm >_>
