This doesn't work for me either.

As a temp fix, you can manually go inside each class mod folder and go to the config folder, then find the XcomClassData.ini file, exit it with a text editor, and near the top they should have:

+SoldierClasses = NAME OF CLASS

If you put a ; in-front of the +SoldierClasses bit, it'll disable the class for you.

EG: If you want to disable the Marine class from the Proficiency Class Pack, find the mod folder (this particular mod folder is usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1265143828\Config), find the XcomClassData.ini file, right-click and open it with a text editor (Notepad is fine), then change this line:

+SoldierClasses = WOTC_APA_Marine

to this:

;+SoldierClasses = WOTC_APA_Marine

This weirdly only works for SOME class mods... not sure why. Hope it helps.

mod still shows disabled classes from "SuperSoldiers" i've disabled all the Mass Effect classes but they are still there. i tried changing the mods settings before campaign and early/mid campaign but they are still there

I've been getting disabled classes in my game, it appears to be doing nothing at the moment. not sure if I'm using it incorrectly. I've tried setting it mid campaign and also before the campaign w/ and w/o restarting the game. No joy. maybe I'm having a mod conflict somewhere.

Can also confirm a crash to desktop (from Mod Config Menu) when used in conjunction with Amalgamation classes.

So this mod has an exception in that disabled mod-added classes can still appear for non-human recruits who are able to use them, such as ADVENT hybrids. What this means is in practice, you can have RPGO and Proficiency Class Pack, disable all of the proficiency classes, and almost guarantee that your hybrids would be one of those disabled classes without allowing your humans to be.

However, I love this. Given the scarcity of modded non-human recruits, this particular mod setup indirectly makes them lesser faction heroes; if this ever gets fixed, please leave that exclusion in as an option, perhaps in the config.

so, started using this, the basic classes aren't showing up to disable, so...just got a ranger instead of one of the new classes i modded in

I think that's what the mods which turn a class into a RPGO specialisation are supposed to do.

I'm trying to use this with RPGO so that the class mods required for added specialization mods aren't in my class pool, but the MCM entry for Disable Any Class isn't displaying any of those TOO disable. Any advice?

This mod still works. (October, 2021)

Trudging through and testing various mod combinations, I have narrowed the conflict down to Amalgamation Classes WOTC.
As I am not proficient enough in their coding, I can only speculate the exact cause.

Works with both LW2 Classes and Perks/RPGO.

Disabling Amalgamation Classes WOTC fixed my issue and ends my troubleshooting of this instance.

Clicking the mod in the MCM crashes the game (CTD). Suspect conflict with RPGO, but uncertain.

In 2021 this mod works fine with WOTC, RPGO, SOCI, etc.. Check the boxes for the classes that you want in the game, for RPGO uncheck everything except "Universal Soldier".

im having a bit of trouble i downloaded the mod and its not showing my other classes i have downloaded

This may be a dumb question, but I put an X in the box associated with the class I want enabled in game, or the classes I want disabled?

If you're having issues with a CTD, try clearing out your config folder located at
'C:\Users\[Your Username here]\Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame'
Just go ahead and delete the whole folder, then reboot the game (a few times).

Mod works fine for me in Aug 2020.

The mod works but not as intended, it dosen't allow you to turn off vanilla classes (the main reason everyone has this mod) which is quite sad, if anyone knows how to make it work as intended please let me know.

For the people saying this mod doesn't work: I had it working during one of my recent playthroughs (I disabled the Spartan II class so that it was GTS-only) and then added a mod (I don't remember which) and it stopped working.

May just need to reinstall to fix. About to test that theory.

It works great, you just have to be using the Alternate Mod Launcher for XCOM to make use of it.

ive seen a decent number of classes from vanilla xcom 2. this mod was good while it lasted. but as the previous comment suggested, it does not seem to be working anymore. the menu disappeared. it may very well be no longer supported.

I don't think this mod is supported anymore. There have been updates since 2017 so I doubt this mod works with the current build of the game.

What do I have to do if I also want to remove the ability to train a certain class in the GTS, and also remove their perks from the GTS? Great mod by the way.

Haven't had cause to use this in WotC, but if I remember right from the base game version then an X means the class is Enabled.

Very ambiguous. Has anyone answered the question of which is disabled and enabled? Does "X" mean its disabled or chosen ? I cant tell...just me?

For some reason, it won't let me disable the vanilla soldier class. how can it do that
