really nice looking building,

Excellent. I place these at all my rail/street crossings. For an added touch I surround the building 1/2 with the darker gravel, and 1/2 with grass. then shrubs and rocks on the perimiter, then finally a few scattered trees.

I also would like to see warehouses I can place on a track.. I've seen a couple of German ones but no American.. I like to make arranging yards in the game in wich I use plop vanila cargo mods and that sort of stuff

please, please, please... Would you PLEASE create more American style track assets.. Like switch towers.. I have been going trough the list and every one is repainting trains and wagons.. Also something that would be nice is a MOD for prop (American) cars and trucks, I can place on my parking lot.. You know, a bit of city enviroment stuff... They are in the game currently but all European brands..

Hey @modelcitizen,

I really like your assets, as a matter of fact, I use all of them. But may I just request some things? I hope I don't sound to greedy here, but could you make a coal bunker/tower, water tower/pole, and finally a diesel fuel station? For trains ofcourse... If so, than that would be great! Then I can really detail my train yards and make them look abit more realistic.

Cheers,
Gregory U.

JUST what I need for the giant crossings and junctions I always seem to find myself building

Oh my gosh I've been waiting on this for so long. THANK YOU!

Also works as a uk signal box :)

Outstanding. Thank you Citizen.

mmathat----An Interlocking Tower was placed at junctions or crossings of multiple routes to ensure safety and efficientcy. The tower operator, by moving large levers inside the building, could control turnouts, derails, and signals that could only be aligned for ONE route at a time. It got it's name because each lever was "interlocked" with the others ensuring only one route was aligned. As far as gameplay, this is only a "scenery" asset. I hope this helps.

So is this purely aesthetic or does it do something, perhaps help control traffic into a station?
Spuds Sep 28, 2017 @ 5:44pm
MarkyT is dead on with that. These switch-shacks varied in size a lot, and you can still see them all over the place.

From the pictures it looks a fine model, but despite subscribing I haven't been able to place the item in my European games so assume it's only for US scenarios. I think these railway 'operational scenery' mods should be freely available across both geographical scenarios if that's the problem and at any time, as many still survive into the modern era and are sometime recreated at museums. I know it's a US model but it is similar to many early UK and other European cabins. I wonder whether you could make larger cabins in the same style, say a double length or triple length version. The real buildings were modular, adjusted with standard parts to suit whatever size interlocking plant was neccessary to control the junction concerned. Another realistic variation might be the same basic design but with a brick lower storey while retaining the wooden upper storey.

Agreed. Let the user change the date if they choose to. There are lots of these still around.:letsgo:

I would leave the end date alone, many towers survived into the 2000s and even now there are a couple still in service.

I like this, thanks for sharing!

You may want to give these an end date of about 1960 - 1970 since they started getting replaced by computers at that time. Also, some brick ones started appearing about the 1920s, though wood ones were still built all the way up until the end. Other than that small suggestion, it looks impressive! Looking forward to using it!

YES! This will be a fine addition to busy junctions

Very Nice!
Northerner Transport Hub Sep 25, 2017 @ 10:20pm
in the UK we call this a signal box
Tall_Paul Sep 25, 2017 @ 7:36pm
May I be the first to say Thank you for this very useful mod!
