Report a translation problem
A similar problem happened with the last patch whereby updating with mods already installed caused issues with the game. Since I've got a fresh install of RTW2 and then applied mods, that's probably why I can't see any issues.
Have a look at the True Legions mod, my friend. It modifies the Caesarean Romans so they look much closer to historical reality. There is a vanilla version linked in the description too if you want to check that out.
Making a Caesarean pack is actually something I'm quite interested in doing, but I'm waiting till 2.0 of True Legions is released first (which is apparently going to be some time this weekend).
On the subject of Connolly, he stuck very solidly to archaeological evidence and contemporary accounts for the basis of his illustrations of mid-Republican Romans and I think he may have been on to something. I will concede that a lot of his ideas about Imperial kit has been disproven by recent evidence, however (the whole "only legionaries wore segmentata being one example).
