Actually I have a suggestion, although Festive lights is what valve originally started with with their festive weapons, recently they have gotten more creative like the Festive Eyelander, it is an ice sword. Anyways along with the lights wrapped around the boot could you also add a few bells (most likely around the point where the boots meet the trouser leg) thus, like Bootie Time for the scout or Jingle Belt for the Pyro their will be a jingling sound accompanying the soldier as he walks and jumps around.
