Finished the model, added a bit more glowy cracks and also let the rest of teh cracks stand out a little more.

Again it's not updating the file directly, hope it goes well instead of placing a new one 2 times :s

Looks better, IMO. You could probably make the glowy cracks more significant (bleed out more). The top part of it also seems to connect with the shoulder at an odd angle (in the in-game screenshots).

Upvoted. :0)

Updated the model, you can see it in the screenshots..

Removed the cracks so it won't be as noisy, did place some dark cracks in retun. The lower you get the less detail there is. Also changed the color and gradiant from the bones to a bit darker color so it fits better with the character.

What do you guys think?

looks good

I think you need to add some dark lines around the edges of the bones. They're kind of blending together (in both versions, but it's clearer in the shot now that the cracks are gone).

I know all the documentation from valve, the top is allready brighter then the bottom, but your right about the cracks. I've added two new screenshots, one without the cracks and one with cracks, but just less and larger ones.

What do you guys prefer? Still have till 19th november, so I can still change a few things.. :)

nice! I want it

Read Valve's character documentation. It explains that the parts higher up on the models are always lighter than the parts lower down - it's an intentional brightness gradient over the whole of the character model. That's why the bones at the skull are lighter.

As for the cracks, maybe try a soft glow emanating from between the bones. The cracks are just too noisy to hold up in the in-game views.

I've added the crack so it stays in line with the rest of the set, without it looks a bit boring.
But your right on the noisy part, I will have a look at that.

The color of teh bones matches the ones of his body exactly, it seems they are lighter because the bones of his body are darker on that area. It's exactly the same color as his skull, with some darker parts. I might darken the bottom a bit more..

Cool idea, giving him huge bones on the arm. I think you should remove the cracks - they're too noisy. Try to match his bone colors a little closer, and/or match this to the color of the shoulderpiece in this set.

Great set, In fact im seeing many many great sets. Dota needs to kick it in gear and get this stuff into the game. :D
