Great series. Great job. Thanks!

Most maps are good but some are impossible without watching a guide, and that ruins the fun.

Awesome set of chambers, really difficult but extremely enjoyable. Thanks a lot
Lepo Oct 2, 2018 @ 4:03am
I stopped play at Part 2. Unnecessary overcomplicated for me. The work is amazing, maps are very well designed. But for my skills this is not enjoyable. I prefer getting stuck because there's some logic thing i can't pass, instead of getting stuck 20 minutes because i can't imagine i can break a glass with a cube. I like to improve my lateral thinking but this was too much.
I'm sure enthusiast will like this a lot anyway.

Don't really got the point of creating chambers so hard that you must see the walkthrough unless you want to go in circle for hours in hope for a solution...

Wait, so you play as the stick figure guy?
Nice, this makes this fit right into the Portal storyline.

This series is nothing short of perfect. I loved every bit of it! Thanks so much! :steamhappy:

Amazing series, really love it. This is truly what Hammer is.
Also, everyone's said it before, so I'll say it again: I don't think I did part 4 properly. My instincts tell me that jumping from a cube into the funnel wasn't intended here....
Time for an update?

You don't have a link to Reconstuction, so it is here for all to click and you to copy & paste!

@IronAperture it took me over 6 months of pretty solid work, I think maybe about 350 hours in Hammer.
HadronFive Aug 6, 2014 @ 7:01am
Hey, I would really like to know, how long this map pack took to make for you. I hope I'll get an answer :)
Elektron Jul 24, 2014 @ 12:18pm
Amazing map pack! A real brain crasher!
I had the impression that Portal 2 was made for this kind of puzzles. Not obvious, always challenging.
This was an unique adventure. Thanks and congrats!
Ma Pignon Jun 25, 2014 @ 4:09pm
I really enjoyed the challenge of playing through this well produced collection.
aetios Jun 12, 2014 @ 11:21am
Wow, these look really nice. I really got to check them puzzles out :O
Hopefully I can extract some puzzle mechanics to steal borrow in my own puzzles.
LoneWolf2056  [author] Feb 28, 2014 @ 11:03am
@Fregle, thanks and good luck with the last two :)
Fregle Feb 28, 2014 @ 10:23am
I still have two to go but it's fantastic. The best puzzles I've played so far in Portal 2, better than the puzzles in the original game. And there even went some attention to storytelling and a lot of attention to the look of the surroundings. :ss2heart:

I really enjoyed it. Downloaded it last night, stuck.

This is a nice series. During the gameplay sometimes I thought "Damn, hopefully the chambrs don't implode before I get out" - very "damaged" state :) .

Hi! The series is absolutely great. The look is mind-blowing, the puzzles really challenging and very well designed.
Here is my blind play:

I think I bypassed the boss fight, and I wonder if the solution in Part 4 is at least more or less intended. Didn't need the bridge ;)

Great Series!

Erratic_Engineer Sep 29, 2013 @ 11:36pm
The only criticism that I can come up with is that this series tends to be very, very hard while lacking in alternate solutions. One thing that I liked about Portal was that there was often different ways of solving a chamber (not always, but often). Some of these could be called cheap (like the method clearing chamber 14 in only two portals, or under three seconds), but allowing these to exist rewarded creative thinking. However, in almost all of this series of levels there seems to be only one correct solution. Combined with the high difficulty, this can lead to a lot of time wasted until we finally stumble upon the only way you intended for us to solve it. It begins to feel a bit more like trial and error rather than puzzle solving.

With that out of the way, I can go on to say, regardless of my complaints, this is still one of the best designed collection of levels I have played so far. It's easy to tell that a lot of effort was put into this.
Outland Predator Sep 13, 2013 @ 3:18pm
I got stuck on the 3rd chamber in part 0 I got to the point where I got the cube and the bridge, I just couldn't get past the laser. I thought the field might of had somthing to do with it, but in the end I just gave up.
Veldor Aug 3, 2013 @ 10:59am
I have try and I may be not intelligent enough to finish the part 0 and not even the part 1. I will try later with walkthrough lol
timvisee 🐧 Jul 21, 2013 @ 3:11pm
The best maps I've ever played, with great unique solutions. Thanks! Looking forward to a next map collection.
Extragamer Jun 3, 2013 @ 6:56am
Very good pack! Have a lot of fun.
Thanks.You did perfect mode!!!
CleavesF May 9, 2013 @ 2:13pm
The series is perfect. I honestly think Part 5 should be rated hard as it took me awhile to figure out but Part 4 is easily the hardest. The rest is Medium/Hard difficulty. Great collection. As brain melting as the levels from Mevious. More PeTI please! <3
wildgoosespeeder May 7, 2013 @ 6:42pm
This series is almost perfect. What kills it is part 6 because of the way the turrets are setup (I explain in a comment on the workshop page).
Snowskeeper May 6, 2013 @ 7:28pm
@RVD Don't dismiss other people's opinions as them simply being bad at the game. I found it fun, but too challenging for me.
RVD May 6, 2013 @ 12:44pm
Very hard maps with very untypical tasks. So very VERY intresting. People who put bad marks simply isn't cleaver enouth for this collection. Big thank to author for his work.

P.S.; I downloaded collection at once and have wrong order of missions: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 0, 6. Maybe it's needed to correct.
zeg685 May 3, 2013 @ 1:45am
@jhm550, yes you can kill yourself. Tipe kill in your console ^^^
jhm550 May 2, 2013 @ 2:51pm
Great job! The last part of part 4 took me forever to figure out. The only things I have to report is that in the third chamber of part 4 you can get stuck if you reverse the polarity and pull yourself in and you have no way to kill yourself. Also, on the boss fight, I used the momentum to get it over the wall and then placed two portals to keep it going forever, and then I put the portal up to where it could hit the boss but the boss wouldn't get hurt. I know that wasn't the correct way to do it and I figured it out, but I just thought it was odd.
The puzzles are very good and I enjoyed it a lot!
zeg685 May 1, 2013 @ 3:49am
Its too hard ...
doping Apr 30, 2013 @ 6:03pm
I have just reached the third chamber of part 4 and I think my brain is almost melting (playing straight from part 1)...
I love your maps but I'm going to beat the rest of them as soon as I'm finished making this breathing pause :D
Thank you very much for these awesome maps, definately the hardest I played so far!
LoneWolf2056  [author] Apr 30, 2013 @ 7:14am
@X-NintosPintalBean, Thanks, glad you enjoyed them, and congrats on beating it ^_^
Nintos Apr 29, 2013 @ 8:57pm
I love you. These are by far the best Portal 2 custom maps I've ever seen! And the maps are actually challenging! Fantastic job.
LoneWolf2056  [author] Apr 29, 2013 @ 4:26pm
@GKim xD Well congrats on beating it, it is pretty tough! I hope you managed to get some enjoyment from it at least :p
Peter O'Hanraha-Hanrahan Apr 29, 2013 @ 4:09pm
I don't know whether to love you or hate you.
These were the most difficult maps I've ever played on Portal, stressed me out and confused me for hours and hours, it was a horrible experience.
In retrospect, amazing maps, 5/5.

Congrats on PC Gamer Mod of the Week!
Nobody No-One Mar 29, 2013 @ 3:04pm
But, AMAZING collection.
Nobody No-One Mar 29, 2013 @ 3:04pm
Also Part 1 has blue sky, but 0, 2, and 3 have white sky.
Nobody No-One Mar 29, 2013 @ 2:54pm
I HATED the part where you are walking towards your companion cube and the turrets appear. There is no way to predict that, and so you die. Remove the turrets as they serve no purpose whatsoever except to surprise and kill you. Maybe make them defective turrets to fit with the destroyed theme.
Klue Mar 8, 2013 @ 12:17pm
this is the best map i never see, it's the best ever !
LoneWolf2056  [author] Mar 4, 2013 @ 7:38am
Just the Add/ Edit images, as for the map thumbnail its from the Portal 2 Publishing tool.
mucusSTfriend Mar 4, 2013 @ 7:30am
These must be the best maps in Workshop!
I have a technical question, how did you add a custom cover? I cannot find the option in mine, it is always a picture of the editor.
