Version 0.7.5 "There are no mountains in the Riverlands, silly!"

House Targaryen:

- Added a decision to recruit Grey Worm as a General (portrait included). Decision is available after you choose Free Slaves focus. Definitely not a placeholder for another focus that is being worked on. Don't look at the Unsullied focus!

Navies:

- Converted several navies to the new taskforce system: The Crownlands, House Tully, The Vale, Qarth and Tyrosh.

OOB:

- Added a fleet to House Baratheon. Some ships have been taken away from the Crownlands. All have flavor names.

= The fleet will be owned by Stannis in 'Feast for Crows' scenario.
- Removed an Elite Mountaineer Template from House Tully and gave it to the Vale instead.

And more...

Now, it's to concentrate on the new Focus Tree that will be completed, hopefully, before the final GOT season begins.

Update: Mar 15, 2019 @ 8:27am

Version 0.7.4 "Using obscure Flintstones references to describe new focuses"

Mod is now compatible with version 1.61.

House Greyjoy rework:
Since this is a naval patch, it makes sense that the most 'naval' nation gets some love.
- New national spirit: Treaty of Pyke (replaces Neutral Foreign Policy)
= After the Greyjoy Rebellion, the Ironborn were forced to sign a humiliating treaty which greatly limits their naval construction capabilities. You will need to get rid of it if you want to access any of your naval focuses.
= You can get past the treaty by just taking a focus which removes it immediately (but costs a lot of PP). Alternatively, you will ask either the Starks or Lannister to revisit it, if you do the relevant focuses in the political branch.
- Naval branch adjustments:
= All naval doctrine focuses give more research. Initial bonus 65% for two naval doctrines. Final bonus gives you 3 uses.
= Industrial naval branch ideas have been readjusted. You will always get a bonus for cheaper shipbuilding. Both mutually exclusive focuses will give you a single dockyard.
- Ironborn Empire branch has been reworked.
= Beware the Kraken! The Ironborn now have two decisions to sneak attack both the Starks and Lannisters. Ooooooh, ain't we sneaky?
= War plans. Four focuses that give you war bonuses against all nations on the Sunset Sea. Plans against the North/Westerlands are also available if you do the relevant alignments.
= 'Euron Greyjoy rejoins the army' is now in the Euron branch.
- Quality of life improvements:
= Added localization to Euron and Yara's traits.
= Added a warning to the Stark Tech Exchange focus; The Greyjoys will now be informed if House Stark refuses.
AI modifiers:
- The Greyjoys will only sneak attack the Starks/Lannisters if one of them is at war and they are not at war with the other.
- Improved Kingsmoot AI choices:
= Reduced chances of Euron being chosen if Northern Ties has been selected.
= Reduced chances of Theon/Yara being chosen if Westerland Ties has been selected.

Bugfixes:
- The AI can once more build divisions (at least until next vanilla patch).
- More compatibility errors have been removed.
- A focus for the Stormlands that no longer works has been replaced with a new one.
- Fixed localization for the 'Strengthen' game rules. Now, you will now exactly who you are boosting. (ex. Starks, Lannisters, Slaver's Bay etc.)
- The Euron path requires Euron himself to be the leader. This will keep a rare occurrence of Nymeria Sand becoming the Greatest Sea Captain from happening.

Navies:
- The naval forces of House Tyrell, House Stark, House Greyjoy, the Night's Watch and Volantis have been converted to the new system.
- Added portrait + traits for Paxter Redwyne. Arbor Queen has also been included.

Other:
- Added Yoren as High Command advisor for the Night's Watch.
- The Lonely Light is once more in the Realm of the Drowned God.

And more...

Update: Mar 11, 2019 @ 6:17am

Compatability hotfix 3:

- The AI can once more build divisions (at least until next vanilla patch).
- More compatability errors have been removed.
- A focus for the Stormlands that no longer works has been replaced with a new one.
- Fixed localization for the 'Strenghten' game rules. Now, you will now exactly who you are boosting.
- Updated Tyrell naval OOB. Naval taskforces are split between the Shield Fleet and the Redwyne Fleet. + added the Arbor Queen + added portrait and traits for Paxter Redwyne.

Update: Mar 4, 2019 @ 11:20am

1.6 Compatibility update. Codename "I was planning on making a Star Wars total conversion mod but after spending 3 days re-doing strategic regions, I never want to see another map region again!"

Compatibility:
- Lannister navy converted to the new system.
- Stark's ship namelist converted to the new system.

Fixes:
- Volantis civil war can trigger again (wasn't working in initial 1.6 compatibility update).
- Laws no longer require senators to be changed (see above).
- Removed a bunch of AI modifiers that only applied to vanilla.
- Targaryen focus tree will now properly check if you have any dragons before helping them grow.

NEW game rules:
- Strengthen focuses now can be applied to House Stark, Lannister and the cities of Slaver's Bay. Vanilla country names remain, for now.
- Working Alternate history path for House Targaryen. You can now manually choose to have Viserys Targaryen remain as the head of the House. His path will take him North to war with the Dothraki and Ibben.
- Fragment the North. Currently, House Stark controls the following releasable nations: House Glover, Manderly, Reed, Hornwood and Flint. You can now choose to have these Houses start off fully independent; or be in a faction with House Stark. (I feel some people will be very happy with this rule)

Update: Mar 3, 2019 @ 12:30pm

Initial compatability with vanilla patch 1.6.

- Strategic regions redone from scratch.
- Weather in Southern Westeros adjusted.
- Research bonuses converted to new mechanic.
- New MTG exclusive loadscreen.

Update: Feb 22, 2019 @ 7:02am

Version 0.7.3 "The Crown's army being commanded by Meryn F*cking Trant!?"

Crownlands focus tree update:

- King Robert loves to throw feasts for the common folk and while they may be taxing on the budget, they still keep the population happy. Up until now, that spirit disappeared after King Robert dies, but no longer. After Robert is gone, you will now be given the opportunity to fix the budget holes he left behind. This includes dealing with the feasts. You can either remove them and receive a penalty to Stability (peasants don't like it when you stop giving them free food) or you can keep them and receive a permanent bonus in either Stability or War Support.
= After that you have a bunch of new focuses that give you extra factories, steel, infrastructure and even a bonus to Nuclear Reactor construction (I heard that's going to be a major plot point in Winds of Winter).
- Many other focuses have been re-arranged. Some have had proper flavor added to them.
= 'Ties to the Seven Kingdoms' is now locked until you join a faction. What it does is give you an opinion bonus to your allies, but since the AI often does it before joining a faction, it received nothing. The follow-up bonuses also require them to be in a faction with someone, so it made no sense to allow it.
== Added House Stark and House Arryn to the list of countries that can receive an opinion bonus.
- Secure Dragonstone. If you go down the path of a Lannister Takeover, you will now be given a wargoal focus to against the Usurper Stannis Baratheon.

More Crownlands:

- New General: Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane. Portrait included.
= Up until now, the Hound was a low-rank General for House Lannister. That is no longer the case and you can now have proper Clegane-Bowl.
- Meryn Trant has been promoted to Field Marshal. Sandor Clegane receiving orders from Meryn F*cking Trant!?
- Rebalanced resources.
= Also moved the Steel from Duskendale to King's Landing.

Dornish NF update:

- Naval focuses re-arranged. This is only the beginning of their rework.
- Their two naval spirits are now mutually-exclusive. To compensate, I will give them two more research focuses after 1.6 patch is out.
- Reduced the time for 'Invite Princess Myrcella to Dorne' by half.

- After claiming the Dornish Marches, and if House Baratheon is not in any faction, you can stage an incident at the border. Will Renly declare war on you?

Map:

- Added a lot more desert terrain to Dorne. Also some urban for one coastal city.
- Fixed a lot of 1 pixel map errors in the sea provinces.
- Added an extra sea province off the coast of Karstark/ Bolton lands.
- Replaced Oslo (House Stark) with a lore accurate VP. Also slightly nerfed that state.

And more...

Update: Feb 8, 2019 @ 6:23am

Version 0.7.2: "Tribal Warfare"

PHASE 1 of Sothoryos overhaul:

- The continent of Sothoryos is now divided between five tribes - the Brindled Men. They CANNOT declare war on anyone, but instead use border wars to fight with each other.
= Border wars cost nothing for Brindled men, so be ready for conflicts as soon as the game starts.
= All Tribes have equal troops and templates at the start. Some have more of a geographical advantage than others.

- The old Sothori Republic has been altered. It now represents the Sothori natives that live on the coast and learned the Trader Talk to communicate with others. They still control some islands, but their territory has been greatly reduced.

Map:

- States in (mostly) Southern Sothoryos have been altered or expanded. Some new states have been added as well.
- Added visualization for a missing lake in Sothoryos.
- Fixed the shape of some water tiles.
- New VPs for the Basilisk pirates and new capital for Sothori Republic.

Other:

- New origin: Brindled Men (Sothori tribes)
= Their economy, research and PP are weak but they get a huge bonus when attacking and defending their core land. (Note: Sothori tribal land has cores for all tribes)
- Fixed some old error dogs.
- Fixed Ned Stark remaining the democratic leader of the Crownlands after being executed by Joffrey. The new leader will be (WWE Legend) Vacant.
- Added an even for Stannis Baratheon to convert the Crownlands to the Lord of Light.

And more...

Update: Jan 18, 2019 @ 7:54am

Version 0.7.1, Codename: "Summer in January"

Bugfixes:
- Crownlands will now give priority to taking the new 'Fix Government' focus.
- Cleared up more error dogs.
- House Dayne now has their correct capital set. That wasn't really a problem before because Starfall always became their capital by default (highest VP value), but it's better to have it fixed than not.

Culture and Traditions:
- New Origins: Rhoynar (Dorne, House Dayne), Tall Men (Sarnor, Omber) + unique icon.
- New Religion: Did you know that in the Summer Isles they worship a Fertility Goddess with 16 tits? New religion for Summer Isles. If Tyrion Lannister is your country leader, you can also convert to it.

House Targaryen:
- New Focus: Invite Red Priests.
= After Daenerys / Viserys receive their leader traits, they can do this new focus. It unlocks Kinvara (Red Priest) as an advisor. Hiring her also unlocks the ability to convert House Targaryen to the Lord of Light.
- Democratic Flavor: Barristan Selmy is now the default democratic advisor (available after he joins you). Once he declares for you, he will also become the default Democratic country leader. This is mostly for immersion and is unlikely in practice.

Map:
- New Naval Strategic Regions:
= The Summer Isles now have all their correct Naval Zones.
= Redwyne Sea, south of the Reach.
- Rebalanced resources.
= Fewer resources in Yunkai; removed resources have been re-allocated to Yunkai (state), Astapor (state) and Meereen (state). All slaver states now have Steel.
= Moved resources from random state to main Asshai state.
= Moved resources from random state to main Lys state.

OOB:
- Added a small OOB to the Summer Isles: 2 Infantry Divisions and 1 Heavy Cruisers (with accurate flavor name). It may not sound like much, but it should ease a Summer Isles start by having a set Infantry template.

And more...

I also discovered this magical thing called Scripted Triggers and effects. Can be put to good use.

Update: Jan 4, 2019 @ 6:50am

Seven hells, it's 2019 and we kick off the new year with version 0.7 'Seven Hells'!

New Culture and Traditions Tab:
- This new tab brings two new mechanics: Origin and Religion.

- Origin: Each nation has its origins. In this case you have Andal, First men, Wildling and many others. Each of them gives your country unique bonuses, but also debuffs. This makes every country a bit more specialized than they used to be. Examples:
= Andals research faster and have bigger factory output, but their troops consume a lot more supply.
= Islanders get a huge bonus to their dockyard output, but their land factory output is weaker.
= White Walkers get a - 100% winter attrition, basically making them immune to it.

- Religion: unlike Origins, religion gives mostly bonuses. You cannot change your religion, except in special cases (which are highlighted bellow). Some of those are:
= Faith of the Seven gives a small stability bonus and allows you to 'pray' to the New Gods. Each prayer costs 75 PP and lasts for 2 weeks.
= The Drowned god gives you a huge advantage when naval invading someone, as well as raiding.

Dothraki Border raids:
- The Dothraki Khalassars can now plunder their non-Dothraki neighbours for loot or tech bonuses. This is a rework of the Border War mechanic from WTT, however states cannot change hands with this method (too OP). If victorious, the Dothraki will get a bonus to CC for 90 days or a useful tech bonus. The plundered state will also receive damage to its Infrastructure and / or Civilian factories. If there is Steel in said state, a small amount of it will be taken away.

Focus updates - The Crownlands:
- New focus for Stark / Lannister takeovers.
= I was not a fan of how the Stark / Lannister takeovers as they seemed very restrictive. For this reason, the Takeover event is now a single focus. At the end of the focus, the player decides who the Gold Cloaks side with and then everything proceeds as... normal?
- New mission: Save Ned Stark.
= Originally, the rescue of Ned Stark was an Easter egg if the Stark faction manages to capture King's Landing before the purging of traitors focus. Now, after House Stark chooses to call the banners, the new mission will activate. If the Stark faction manages to capture King's Landing within 90 days, they will rescue him and Lord Eddard will become a General.
(also, Error Dog claims that it doesn't understand the control command. Why you always lying, Error dog?)

Focus updates - House Greyjoy:
- New Religious Reforms focuses.
= Previously, the reforms branch only gave out a few bonus ideas, but with the new mechanic they can become actual reforms.
= You cannot do the new Religious Reforms while Balon Greyjoy is your leader. You will need to get rid of him first.
= Sticking with the Drowned God will give you the Drowned God fanatics, which is basically the old focus's buffs, in addition to the new Drowned God bonuses.
= Change religion: you will lose some PP, but you can choose one of 3 religions, each of whom give you some additional manpower. You can convert to the Old Gods, Faith of the Seven, The Lord of Light (completely new).
- Cosmetic updates to focus tree.
= House Greyjoy was unique in that it had all custom focus icons, however, when all of them are special, none end up being special. Thus, some focus icons have been replaced for bigger diversity.

OOB:
- New Generals: Amory Lorch (Lannister + portrait), Bloodrider Kovarro (Targaryen + portrait), Meereenese general (Meereen).
- Added OOB to a Khalassar without units.
- Assigned US vanilla units to House Tyrell.
= Since the USA is not represented in any way in the game (not even a reskin), their unique units were left unused. No need letting good unique units go to waste.

Map updates:
- Various new water tiles added/ improved.
- Rebalanced resources in various places.
- New Naval Strategic region, East of the Summer Islands.
- Added more provinces to Ulos.
- Ax Isle (of the Basilisk Islands) is now a separate state.
- Added Titan Islands, west of Braavos.

And more...

Update: Dec 7, 2018 @ 7:20am

Version.0.6.9 'Fall and Rise of the Blue-Eyes'

Welcome to the last update of version 0.6! This was one of the most important updates as it added two key components of the GOT universe: White Walkers and Dragons. Thus, what better way to end version 0.6 than by giving the White Walkers the ability to KILL a Dragon? (and revive it, obviously)

- This decisions becomes visible to the Others very early, in order to give them time to properly prepare.

- Once dragon is shot down, you will need to spend more PP to revive it. Then you can use it's abilities.

- Only works for Vyserion at this time.

Volantis also gets some new content. They already have a focus about becoming the leaders of a Slave factions, but they can't really connect with Slaver's Bay due to that pesky state Mantarys. You now have decisions as to how you want to deal with them. Ally them? Make them a buffer state? Outright annex them? The choice is yours.

- Ally option is the cheapest, Puppet gives Mantarys an ultimatum that can escalate into war, Instant Wargoal is the most expensive in terms of PP.

Other:

- Fixed the map's tree lines (kinda).

- More flavor names for Crownlands destroyers.

- Added some adjacencies to the Thousand Islands. (2 to be precise, 998 to go)

This is (probably) the last update of 2018. I'll see you in 2019 with version 0.7 *TBA*
